i got through 6 rooms so far i far if anyone can get through 7 let me know.
room 1:
hit buttons 4 then 1 go through other door
room 2:
walk over seperate sections in carpet to match design over door-tip start form the inside
room 3:
look through telescope right room, left room, right room, left room, right room
password is 739339 -peepers backwards
room 4:
knock over first board walk to end of platform. you'll notice the colors of the floor boards and the doors have changed. change both doors to purple, go back through left door and come out through right door. knock over board and change both doors/floor boards to original color
room 5:
pick up all pearls put them on "tables" in this order: large, medium, huge, tiny, big, small
room 6:
pick up screw driveruse to unscrew metal plate next to outlet. pick up extension cord drag ex. cord to t.v. cord to connect. then drag the connected cord to outlet. watch tv. click buttons to view cameras.
the number for keypad is found by tracking orange robot through the house. keypad number is 954271
yeahhh.. uh. i got to level 6 and i cant figure out how to get past it!
Room 7:
Pay attention to how many times each light blinks. It corresponds to the number of times you need to change the color for that spot.

Bottom Right - 1 Blink - red
Bottom Middle - 3 Blinks - Purple
Bottom Left - 5 Blinks - Light Blue
Top Left - 2 Blinks - Green
Top Middle - 6 Blinks - Pink
Top Right - 4 Blinks - Yellow
i cant pass the bit were there is to walkway i dont know how to pass that bit.

KEVIN all u do is knock over the 1st plank walk to the end of the middle bit and the two bits on the floor change coulor, keep going over both planks till both are purple and wal through the door you first entered in. if done right u should end out of the other door (right one)walk over the coulored planks till they match the floor coulor vut first knock the plank down on your way obv then walk through the door :D:)XD the ending sucked a bit though i thought that it would be something good like aliens come down or something stupid like that lol

This is a really short, and rather pointless game. Once you finish the bit with the lights and get on the elevator, it's finished. I like Gateway 2 better.
what's the story behind this game, anyway? i don't get what this has to do with the story in Gateway 2. and what's the story behind Gateway 2? anyone know?

when you have to put the pearls in order, which order do they go in
THe story in gateway 2 is that the orange bot that you meet everytime you get a tape is trying to sort the stuff in the tapes out in her mind. I might be letting a bit off for the people who haven't beaten the game, but people seem to be wondering!
whats the number for the telephone code. i´m frustrated and i tried everything. do i have to use the picked up lighter and mirror?
i couldn't pas room 1. I have 3 carpets tht change colors every time I walk above it, i put it in the same patter that shows the door (red inside, yellow dmiddle, green outside) but the door doesn't open. what am i doing wrong?

Gateway walkthrough:
Stage 1 & 2: self-explanatory/guided by game developer.
Stage 3: combine the batteries with the remote and drag it over the red light on the door.
Stage 4: Press the furthest right button, then press the furthest left button.
Stage 5: There is a rectangle tile on the floor and two rectangular rings around it. Walk into the center. Then walk to the middle ring. Walk back into the center and notice the color change. Continue walking back and forth until the center is pink, then do the same for the middle and outermost ring until the middle is yellow and the outermost is green.
Stage 6: go to the telescope and look into it. you see a gray robot sleeping at the right bottom corner. click on anywhere to exit, then look into the telescope again. if you look at the same corner now, the robot will be standing behind the window staring at you (I recommend you to toggle off the sound, it actually scared me... -.-) move your mouse away and then look back at the corner again. the robot is gone, but he left the word 'PEEPER' on the window. Look at the words backwards and type in the numbers into the keypad.
Stage 7: Push the walkway. go all the way to the right edge of the middle floor and notice the change of color on two of the tiles on the floor. Walk back and forth until those tiles are the same color, go back to the right door and walk through it. You will come out from the left door. go back to the middle to remove the colors on the tiles and go through the left door.
Stage 8: Collect all the pearls. Use the huge pearl on the third box; the large pearl on the first; the big pearl on the fifth; the medium pearl on the second; the small pearl on the sixth and the tiny pearl on the fourth.
Stage 9: Go to the TV and pick up the screwdriver on it (might need to hover around a bit with your mouse). use the screwdriver on the service patch. open the service patch and get the extension cord. Pick up the power cord and use it on the extension cord. Go to the power outlet and use the plug on it. Go watch the TV. Press on 9 and you'll see the driveway of a house. Press on 5, you see an orange robot walking. follow her by testing out on the channels. write them down in the order she appears. (if you can't follow her, you can exit the TV and watch it again, it always starts over starting with channel 5) Go back to the keypad and type in 9 first, then the sequence the orange robot appears in the TV. (which is........... 954271)
Stage 10: if you walk over certain patch of the floor, it changes color the the light bulb above it flashes. Notice the different number of times each bulb flashes. (I recommend you to take a piece of paper and write out the number of flashes of each light bulb in a hexagon. mine: (starting with the northernmost light bulb, clockwise) 6, 4, 1, 3, 5, 2. Now walk over a random tile and record the color each step changes into. mine: 1)red 2)green 3)purple 4)yellow 5)blue 6)pink. Now walk around going back and forth to make the tiles on the floor the color it is supposed to be. ie: the northernmost light bulb flashes 6 times, which means that tile should be the sixth color, which is pink. Another example: the upper right light bulb flashes 4 times, which means the tile should be the fourth color, which is yellow. So complete all the tiles and an elevator will appear in the heart of the room. COMPLETE!

Here is the walkthrough for level seven it will help you out a lot. For this level you will have to focus on the lightbulbs hanging above the coloured sectors, how ever many times it blinks, is how many time you have to step on the tile to get the desired colour to finish the level so if it blinked 3 times you have to step on the tile 3 times, ok? Anyway ill cut to the chase here is the correct clours and how many times u have to step on um. (Starting from th tile closest to the door, going clockwise. Blinks 1 - Red. Blinks 3 - Purple. Blinks 5 - Blue. Blinks 2 - Green. Blinks 6 - Pink. Blinks 4 - Yellow. And there you have it, now an elevator should appear in the centre of the room, click on it and the character will walk on it and dissapear. Hope you enjoyed the game! Now you should try Gateway II get to it from miniclip.com and type in the search box "Gateway II". you can also get to it by typing in Gateway and at the bottom of the game screen there will be 2 little boxes one advertising Gateway l and another advertising Gateway II, just click on the Gateway II advertisment box and away you go, have fun!

The very first room u just click button then head on to the "Room 1"
On room 1, click 4th button, then 1st button
On room 2, Look at the right door, make those colors on the mat
on room 3, click the telescope and look at both rooms left and right until u see "peepers" Enter the code

on room 4, knock over the 1st board and make both of the boards on the center floor purple, then walk into the left door and knock down the right board then make the purple boards back to normal then enter right door
on room 5, pick up each pearl in order ( it doesnt have to be like that but its easier ) large medium huge tiny big small
Then place each one on each of the tables from 1-the last one in order: large medium huge tiny big small
on room 6, pick up screwdriver and unscrew the plate then pick up the cord and attach to Tv cord then watch Tv from rooms 9 to 5 to 4 to 2 to 7 to 1 954271
on room 7, start from the lower right light and make each of the floors the colors( Look at the above comment )
Then go on the elevator thing and yeah ..
oh yeah theres a message at the end it says

I finished! Just read through the instructions and follow wat they say. its easy trust me. :) for the room with the boardsthis is wat u do.
1:push the first board down
2:walk till reach edge.(colors are on ground)
3:keep walking on them till they are both purple.
4:walk through first door.(You will come out the door to the right.
5:push down second board.
6:walk across to colors.
7:change colors to normal color.
8:click the button to open the door all the way to the right and walk through.
TADDA YOU HAVE DONE IT!!! keep on trying till you get it!
