Tanabata - Ta-Na-Ba-Ta is another Japanese point and click type room escape game from creator of Origami - O-Ri-Ga-Mi game. So far I have colourful scraps of paper, and strips of paper, the yellow latern thing, the scissors, a red block, a plate, and a piece of pink paper... I had a gold coin, but it got stuck in the wall...
I just found some glue, now I can glue some stuff together...
i cant find the glue, the red block or the plate....and i cant get the pink paper from out of the crack!
don't stab the cat with the scissors!

Facing the shelves where the little man statue is, click the wooden ornamental shelf end things to find the glue. Then click the bottom center of the screen to find a table with ink and stuff. I can set the paper down there but can't do anything else with it yet.
If you go to the area with the big round window, click on the corner of the bench for the glue, the pink paper is under the calender, click on the right side. Click the weird red thing sitting on the pillows, leave and then come back to that screen and click the pillows to get the coin. Use the coin to get the block out of the crack
if you give the coin to the cat, (after you get it back form the wall using the scissors) the door opens...I don't know what to do yet though...

I wonder what the letter means... What paper can you set down on the table??
if you click on the big piece of pink paper and then click "about items" use the scissors on it and it will turn into some kind of origami..
Use the plate to get dew off of the leaf outside, then return to the center table.
you can also do it on the other scraps of paper in the inventory too

yeah i dont have an organe paper...and nothing is wanting to go on the table...my bowl of water disappeared tho... hmmmm
In the very back of the book. Just keep clicking the turned corner a few times as if flipping to the back of the book. You'll find it (although you don't see it, it just appears in your inventory.)
okay, so everything is folded, cut and/or glued, my water is on the black thing with the bar of ink but I have NO orange paper
found it...
okay so...orange paper on table...used ink and now ive got japanese symbols all over it...
1. Knock down scroll to reveal a safe
2. Click on second knob on shelfs to get scissors
3. Click on book click on left curled page and keep going but not too fast to get a yellow paper
4. Click bottom drawer for colored scraps of paper
5. Open cupboard to get yellow fruit looking thing
6. click on book on shelfs again click on picture of yellow fruit opens new window exit out
7. Click yellow thing then about items click on left tab to open it.
8.Turn right twice click on doll till he falls on floor click top pillow get coin, click calender to zoom in click bottom right corner get pink paper
9. Right once click corner of bench near wall get paste, click hole, click the coin then the hole to knock down wooden key get it use scissors to get coin back (may have to change scenes then come back to do it possible bug in game0
10.Click on top window pane one over to get colored papers
11. Turn right once use wooden key in safe get bowl
12. Turn right once give coin to cat open door go to the end click plant then bowl then leaf to get dew
13. Turn right till you see bamboo put fruit decoration on it
14. Go back to room (when viewing orignal scene from startup) click down to see a table put water put yellow paper on it then click on brick click the black stone ink then the brush then the paper get paper back
15. go back outside put paper on the bamboo tree then click the one of the colored papers in your inventory then about items click them a few times to make a decoration do this to all of them put them on the tree
16. Go back in room to the table and have some lunch

that it?!?! just put the decorations on the tree...wow...this game was fun
its a celebration they have once a year that's what its really about not trully an escape game just have to set it up for the celebration. I translated it and what it is, a princess fell in love with a man that her father, the king did not approve of so he made a deal with her that she could onlt see him once a year on July 7th that's what it is
Help! I cannot get the yellow fruit charm to open at the tab and I can't get it to hang on the bamboo tree either!
did you click on the puffed out picture of it in the book? Mine wouldn't open until I did that.

I am not sure what the walkthrough means when it says put fruit decoration on bamboo, but that could be because I didn't understand were it said "Click yellow thing then about items click on left tab to open it?
reddc, what you should have in your inventory is something flat and yellow. When you examine it, (and you have the glue) you can open it and it looks like a lantern or something; this is what you hang on the bamboo as well as the orange paper, the pink oragami, the little squares (glued together), and the paper chain.

I've got everything on the tree, but no orange paper. I've opened the book a dozen times, but it won't give me any orange paper. Otherwise, it's done. Grrrrr
