Buy i in the supplies section, or you can sell some of your seeds, by putting them in the trash bin!
Colors and What Color Combos make them: Notice some have fewer combos than others. Spotted can not be made just bought! The level 4 colors (Arthurium, Baccatus, Lilia, Tahitian, and Venus) Can only be made by buying at least one of them.

this may sound retarded, but how does one cross-breed seeds to get new plants?
To cross polinate plants you have to wait until two plants are mature then on the right side of the screen there is a box with some stuff in it that looks like sparkely dust just grab that and drop it over another mature plant then its polinated!!!

how do you get a spotted reptan and what does a reptan look like?
I found three magic plants so far: rosaceae fern, four petal maple, and fabled lemonbush (which sells for over $300!!)

I have 4 petal maple, rosaceae fern, fabled lemonbush, mela rare oak and aureus scandens...5 of the 6 magical plants. Nox orchid is the 6th and i just can't get it. Anyone know how to make an orchid (without buying it)?
the easiest way to make a nox orchid is: rosacea fern x spotted reptans. My program crashed twice and I lost all five sections so I haven't madfe the aureus scandens or the mela rare oak yet. I'm on retreat in Mexico and the lightning storms are something else!

I downloaded the mouse script and ran it. I tried doing the soil and watering featre (ctrl W) and the mouse (hand) went crazy - didn't water anything. Any advice?
loock maybe somthing went wrong with the upload couse it worked fine in a cupple of computer's I tried it on try downloading it again.
there are times that it doesn't water enough (as I said this is only the BETA version not the FINAL one. what kink of soil \ water do u have ?
Addition to brekkon's post about flower and plant combinations. Like the SPOTTED flower, which you cannot produce, I have not found a way to produce REPTANS. This is a big pain, because I cannot get a SPOTTED REPTANS, or a CITRUS REPTANS - both of which I need for other flower/plant combinations. I have played for days on end and continually purchase common seeds when they become available, but with no luck so far. I have tried the mutation liquid, as well, to no avail. If anyone knows of a combination or a trick to get these two plants, I'll appreciate your advice.
if you keep buying the common plants you'll eventually get all the reptans you need. Brekkon forgot the color Tilia too, which I so far have not found a way to reproduce it other than Tilia + Baccatus
I got the last Magic Plant -- Berries of Wealth -- through trial and error. After the screen announcing the find, another screen flashed about the ecology of Isola or something. I couldn't read it before it vanished. Did I win or not? I still have one bug to catch.

How can I get pitcher, weeper, multiflora, ridgeball? and tahitian, baccatus, tilia and lilia?????I´ve spend a lot of money in mutation liquid..but still I don´t get them...
Congrats on getting all of the magic plants. I have them all too. I also caught all of the Bugs and got a grant for $5000 and a Bug display case for the Nursery. I also now have all the different foliages and flowers... although I have no room for all the seeds. This means I had to really think about what species to get rid of. To get level 4 colours, you need to get at least 1 of them. This means growing some and mutating some and buying some. Look at the seed chart so you recognize them when they are for sale. The easiest level 4 colour to make is Arthurium. When you get it, you can cross it with any Citrus plant and it makes more Arthurium species. The posts with tips on foliage and flower combos are a work in progress and incomplete... so make notes as you go when you make new species not recorded here.

I found the logic in Plant Tycoon. I’ll try to explain it clearly. I don’t know if anyone else has discovered it yet…
There is a domination in the flowers and plants. I think I found all the plants and flowers, but I’m not sure.
First the plants’ domination:
(I haven’t found those in (), but they must be above Pitcher, the order is probably wrong)
1. (Weeper)
2. (Ridgeball)
3. (Multiflora)
4. Pitcher
5. Tigerfern
6. Glaber
7. Ball Cactus
8. Pear Cactus
9. Pipe Cactus
10. Rare Oak
11. Maple
12. Bamboo
13. Lemonbush

This means for example: Fern + Astera = Gladiatus
But also: Fern + Orchid = Gladiatus <-- because there is nothing between Gladiatus and Astera it chooses the top one. I’ve tested this, and it’s true. The list is correct.
Another example: Tigerfern + Reptans = Fanleaf
It just chooses the middle one, except when there’s no middle, it chooses the one above the middle. Dominance.
The same goes for the flowers:

The difficult part is finding the top and bottom one. Because they are hard to mix. I used the Mutation Liquid to find them. That liquid makes a plant in either a new flower, that is one above or below in dominance, or a new plant which has the same rule.
Now, combining the two dominance rules is a bit tricky. It takes a lot of thinking… If you want a fabled orchid for example, you CAN (there are more ways) do this:
Fragrant Grass + Jalapa Astera = Fabled Orchid. Just look into this, and you’ll see the logic eventually;)
Now the magic flowers. I found all six, but I’m not sure if there are just these six, or it’s because I found these six first…

By the way...my best seller is the fabled lemonbush...sells like hot cakes at $1011...it has sold for a couple hundreds more, but the time it took wasnt worth the wait. Once you've found the *berries of whealth* .. the selling price your plants will fetch will greatly be increased. TIP unless trying to discover species.. SELL SELL SELL those highly priced plants for a while.. then invest in better soil and all.. if not already obtained. Really.. why sell $20 plants ? it only hurts your price per plant price average.. all you need is the seed of it.. if you need to use it to polinate it to another. I use the *hex program*.. or whatever its called lol : *ctrl w* to soil and water them ( it only fills 'em w/ 1/2 water.. no worries, its all you need. then I use *ctrl e*.. it takes the 1st 15 seeds from your plant box. MAKE SURE TO PREARANGE the 15 seeds you want planted prior to pressing ctrl e . I then use bio-plant food on all freshly planted seeds.. once all 15 and when done.. I do it a 2nd time... I then use fertilizer bomb.. click on any plant.. it takes care of em all... wait 2 secs.. do it a 2nd time. then I use the insta-grow vapor bomb ( the pink one ) wait til plants stop growing from its effect.. do it a 2nd time... trim the dead leaves you can see and easily trim ( plants wont sell with dead leaves, or bug infested and such ) I then arrange the plants that have matured after the 2nd insta-grow vapor bomb in order.. top left to right... usually.. anywhere from 2 to 6 plants will mature after 2 shots of it.. then polinate these matured plants.. and now.. I then use 3rd and final insta-grow bomb and immediatelly use *ctrl p * to pollinate all other p;ants.. as the effect from the last bomb is making them age quicker.. *ctrl p * right after it makes them gain seed much quicker... harvest 15 of them.. double-check that there are no visible dead leaves.. click SELL ALL .. and they will fly of the shelves within 3 minutes. THIS SEAMS LIKE A VERY LONG PROCESS.. BUT EACH *BATCH*, FROM THE 1ST STAGE, SOIL, WATER...AND ALL.. TO THE SELL OF THE LAST PLANT ONLY TAKES ME 8 MINUTES. FYI.. I'm after position #1 for best price per plant sell price average lol anyone has found better than fabled lemonbush and dare tell me about it ? lol

To conclude, use the pollination chart...VERY helpfull. use a lil bio-food, fertilizer bomb then insta-grow.. makes more and bigger flowers, therefore plants sell faster, at a greater price. I sell 15 fable lemonbush in an 8 minutes process for $15165, spend roughly $2500 on chemicals and all.. not too bad of a profit !! lol

mhkang, you need to go to the nursury. it is already in a pot and will stay that way forever. start working on your next majical plant. go to http://www.webbible.mine.nu/plant_tycoon/ . it will be worth it. try for fabled lemonbush because it is the money maker. over 300 dollars for one. and they will go fast. hope i helped
By the way, the genetics are not correctly described as dominance which would be AA+bb=Ab, which has the same phenotype as AA. It is more like co-dominance, (AA+BB=AB, where AB is an intermediate phenotype). However, both flower color and plant type would more correctly be described as multi-genetic traits, similar to height in humans... For example, if your mom is really short and your dad is really tall, you are likely to be about average, except that in humans, there is probability associated with genetic segregation, but in plant tycoon, the probability is set at 1, such that the result is predetermined. That said, although mis-named, your logic is AWESOME!

I've found all six of the magic plants.
1.Rosaceae Fern- Buy it at the seed shop.It could Be other Ferns, but it could be a Rosaceae Fern.Out comes your first magic plant!
2.Nox orchid-Cross breed the Rosaceae Fern with your spotted reptans and out comes your second magic plant!
3.Fourpetal Maple-Cross breed a Blazing bamboo with a Aureus Rare Oak and out comes your third Magic Plant!
4.Fabled lemonbush-Cross breed a Fragrant Maple with a Japala Maranta and out comes your fourth magic plant!
5Aereus Scandens-buy a Scanden seed at the seed shop and it could be other Scandens, but it could be a Aereus Scandens!Out comes your fifth magic plant!
6.Mela Rare Oak-Cross breed a Venomous Fanleaf with a Citrus Ball Cactus and out comes your sixth magic plant!
HEY MARY AND ANYONE ELSE! Do you need more room for seeds? Well first look up virtual seed tray on google then download that and you get your very own seed tray w/ unlimited space for seeds. It also gives you cross breeding info by pressing tools then chart. Well i hope this helps

Just to let everyone know, if you cross a tigerfern & a wheeper you get a pitcher. If you cross a multiflora with a tigerfern you get a wheeper.

I've cross bred everything and finished the game, but I need one last bug. The bug in the jar on the bottom far right pedestal. Can anyone give me the name or what to grow to get it?

How to get a lot of money use hex editor (i use Hex Editor Neo).
install hex editor. Start the plant tycoon (for a minute or so should be enough, just so you have a saved game) then exit.
Find the file of your saved game (.ldw) usually in my documents/ldw/plant tycoon. What we looking for are .ldw files that has approx 335kb size (i found 2 .ldw files)
open those files using hex editor. you will see numbers on the most left. find 00002180, change the numbers right next to it into 9f 9f 9f, you'll get lots money.
I found a cheat that speeds up the game. If you change the clock of your pc, ou don't have to wait for the plants to grow. Change the hour 20 minuts lates for example and you'll see..
Also I should say that if you self-pollinate many times the same plant, it gives another seed. That's how I found many new seeds. However, I can't make any magic ones!! Can anyone make a guide with images of the seeds and the necessary combinations? Cause, I don't remember which seeds goes to which plant and I cannot plant all of them again to find those I need... Helpppppp...

if you cross the maple(11) with Bamboo (12) u will get maple(11). Or the result is the smallest number.
if you cross astera (19) with grass (21) you will get Orchid(20). it mean the result will the middle.
and if you cross the rare oak(10) with lemonbush(13) so you will get maple(11) or in other hand "Middle-1"
thats why u can't get (1) and (23) by cross the plant.

Fabled Lemonbush will sell for $1000 if you have all the magic plants. You first have to 4 fertilizer bombs on the freshly planted seeds, then when they sprout, use 3 doses of BOTH plant foods. I rush it with vapor bombs, but you don't have to. I can push a batch through in 12 minutes (from first seed planted to last plant sold)and make about $12,000 profit.

I have found all magic plants, and a way through the game. Even though partly by accident.
As many of you said, neither do I reccommand wasting money on growing formulas. When I put my seeds in soil, I just move the clock on the computer one hour ahead and go back to the game and all the plants are mature.
I have never gotten all the plants needed for most magic plants, on the start of the game.
So this is what I did:
I got what I got, I bought all three cheapest seeds and planted all 15 plants. I moved my clock 1 hour ahead, went back to the game and self pollinated each plant. Then I put clock again 20 minutes and went back. I collected the seeds, moved clock to normal and sold all plants.
I replanted seeds and tried to get at least one magic plant. Usually it was Fourpetal Maple. I self pollinated it and kept seeding and selling it until I got enough money for the best soil and water.
I won't repeat all the possible combination for all the magic plants, but the thing is that when you buy all seeds in supplies, even the most expensive ones, before seeding anything, move the calendar one or few days ahead until the supplies collection is renewed.
You will then get new seeds to buy and eventually will be able to get all magic plants.

One tip: never seed anything before moving the calendar or all your plants will be dead!
