It almost looks like it could be a map of the room, like where i found the letters, except the last one would be on the cd play/locked chest area but i haven't found one there yet. Am I thinking of this right?

Find all the 6 letters and build a word :)
there are 3 letters around the room and 3 in the chest, you have to unscramble those letters into a word, your either missing the letter from the kitchen area or the one near the computer desk
is there a clue to the arrows that im missing somewhere?

The hint are the numbers, find 8 of them and match them according to their colors :)
I have eight numbers so far - will try to sort out what colours mean etc.
By the way, anyone know if the swapping of the Y and Z keys on the computer keyboard in first room was deliberate by the game designer?
do i need to use them on something, or just know the numbers from my inventory?

Well, I have a German keyboard, and on these those 2 letters are swapped around, this is the reason :)

@Mystery - thanks for explanation of keyboard - I would have otherwise assumed their was some deep "Insane" relevance, and wasted hours!
ok, i tried ex. 1=6 i'd click the first arrow six times and do the same for all the other and nothing happens. am i on the right track at all?
or do i use those directions for the other thing in the room

I'd recommend you to take a look at your watch ;)
Btw, if you set them correctly, nothing will happen immediately, but it will have an effect on the screen puzzle :)

Mystery - I like this game a lot - only slightly negative comment so far is that when the key is used on trapdoor in second room, there is a long delay - I thought my system had frozen, and almost re-started. In fairness though, this may be down to my impatience and not the game itself!! :)
i want to make a balloon, i have the fabric, needle, thread, rope, gas, and lighter, and i missing something?

well, i cant seem to get anything to work on the basket, nor can i get any of the items to interact with eachother, but i know i want to make a hotair balloon
If you have the needle as you posted, you might want to use the thread on it :)
I came to the conclusion that a hot-air balloon would be needed - but cannot get needle and thread to combine or anything
i've tried that, unless i have to do something to the small spine to make it an actual needle

Mystery/Bobby - in garden, I have lighter, rope, sheets, cylinder, thread and cactus needle.
Still cannot comnbine anything, and cannot find anything else that might hurt me or otherwise!
another spine would help to put a hole in one of them to make a needle wouldn't it?;)
aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaah - blindingly obvious really - except that I missed it!! Am now floating away serenely in balloon.

IF being the opperative word. The multi-colored #'s & the arrows have me boggled! : ) And referring to my watch just ain't helping! *scratching his head*
Match the pairs of the 8 numbers in total.
The first numbers tell you the position (to which arrow the second number refers), and the second arrows announce the position of the arrows - this is where your watch might be helpful :)
Sorry I meant the second numbers announce the DIRECTION :)

Am I the only player so stupid to be stuck on the red dot game?
I figured out it has to do with the order they disappear but when I try to click on them nothing happens!!
Click the switches under the screen in the order of the disappearance of the red dots :)
Grrrrr!I was pushing "Play" BEFORE entering the sequence....

Help. I can't seem to combine the items to make the baloon, I have made the baloon bit but can't seem to combine it with the rope

You've done well so far :)
Now you need to login into the laptop.
The password is easy to see in the room, you just need to do something with it to make it work ;)

When I try and open the file, I get a message saying it's corrupted =(.
Try to de-install the game, and install it again.

I'm sorry I'm not getting the red dot game...I push play before I push the buttons and nothing happens... I push play after I do the sequence nothing happens... What am I doing wrong? Please help!
Just push play to see the video. Wait until the movie is over before you start to work with the switches.
Then push the switches in the order that the dots have disappeared (when you push the switches, you should hear a sound each time).
If you do the sequence correctly, you should get an item from the panel underneath. :)
