i have a ruler, which i knocked down the shelf with the red box on, a white cup, a pill which i got out of the blue jar, totally stuck now!
just 1 empty slot
Did you put the ball from the bottom of the mouse under the cup?
I put the pink thing in the water with the cup and looks like i made steamy water! lol... but now I'm stuck again.
oh! found a key!
now i'm stuck too! have filled the cup with water and the pink thing! now i've got hot water and use the lamp on the cup and got on the cup some numbers! looks like the pic in the book! what now???
used flashlight on steaming cup and found some numbers... i think they might be connected with the letters in the blue book... but not really sure what to do with them.
the numbers are:
4,2,8
5,6,6
1,4,1

Hello everybody. How do you get the water into the cup?
Just click the cup and then the water/vase. When you view the cup again, it should be filled.
Hi. I've tried to put the cup under the dripping vase, but can't get any water
I cant seem to find a key for the red box...which I assume has a flashlight in it???
First you have to knock down the shelf with the red box on it using the ruler... make sure you have the ball from the mouse in the bottom of your cup and then just click the cup and click where the water is dripping. look at your cup in inventory and it should be full.

Hi together, I`m here the first time. Found a key under the couch for the red box. Inside there is a flashlight. Now I stuck.

Yes, but stuck on the code. I tried "translating" the numbers with their corresponding elements but that's a no go. There's something more...or less.
Hints about what t do with the numbers anyone?
The grid gives you the correct order to type in the numbers from the cup. Nothing happens when you have the right code, but you can click on the door and get out.

I can't remember which view it is, but if you look at the left side and the paneling that runs around the room floor, you will see there is a line on one of them. Click that.
the grid is in the book and the ruler is on the left skirting board in the scene with the sofa.
Any hints, cant´t get the numbers. Got the steaming cup and torch is on, but can´t get the numbers!

Walkthrough:
-Click the item on top of the snowman’s head and get the cup.
-Click the blue jar on the shelf.
-Go right and click the cord behind the computer monitor. Get the mouse.
-Right again and notice there is a black line on the left side paneling running around the floor. Click it and get the ruler.
-Click in the middle area under the couch. Get the key.
-Go right again and use the ruler on the shelf to knock down the red box. Use the key to open and get the flashlight.
-View the mouse and turn it over. Get the mouse trackball.
-View the cup and turn it over. Use the mouse trackball to plug up the hole.
-Use the cup on the spilled water on the floor to fill it up.
-Open the blue jar and click it to get the pink item. Use this pink item in the cup of water to heat it up.
-View the flashlight and turn it on. Use it on the cup of steaming water. Note the numbers:
4 2 8
5 6 6
1 4 1
-Go right and click the small blue book. If you associate each symbol with its number on the periodic table of elements, you get:
H-1, He-2, Be-4
Li-3, B-5, N-7
C-6, O-8, F-9
-Now associate each element's number to the grid found on the cup.
H is number 1, the cup number is 4.
He is number 2, the cup number is 2.
Li is number 3, the cup number is 5
Be is number 4, the cup number is 8
B is number 5, the cup number is 6
C is number 6, the cup number is 1
N is number 7, the cup number is 6
O is number 8, the cup number is 4
F is number 9, the cup number is 1.
-Your code for the computer is 425861641.
-Go right to the computer and input the code.
-Exit the computer, click on the door and you’re out!
Still got steaming cup, lit torch but no numbers... oh well, nvm got to go shopping!!
Check Chemistry periodic table. Blue book contains chemcals name. Use periodic table to find out position of each number from glass and you should have 425861641.
Thanks vg, but I don´t have a problem with that part- I simply can´t seem to find the numbers from the steaming cup with the torch
nvm got to go out in 5, will try again later I suppose...
I know this sounds silly, but I actually had to adjust the angle of my monitor before I could see the numbers on the cup.
*Make sure you turn on the flashlight first!
Thanks Diana, But I just replayed, I have a steaming cup and a torch (that is on), I select the cup and use with the torch. Nothing. I tried the screen trick but still can´t see numbers.
I´m probably doing something really easy wrong, and I´m going to feel really dumb when I find out!! I suppose it won´t be the first time on these games!!
Niff, do you have a Mac? I had the same problem. actually this sort of thing happens quite frequently to me with these games. i had to take a cropped screen shot (apple+shift+4) in order to see the numbers on the cup. o.o
No I´m not on a Mac. Thanks for your help, but I´ve sort of given up!! It´s a little disappointing when you can´t finish without using cheats and not just hints (used the no. Diana left- thanks)but like I said before it´s probably something silly I´m doing wrong!!!

used it under cup.found on snowman..or whatever that is
pink pill..from bottle..

and a key from under couch..
hm..
Used the ruler to knock down the shelf
water come out from the vase..
used cup on it..
put pill in cup..
Get flashlight out of the red box..using key u found under couch..
then use flash light on the cup after filling it with water and the pink pill
u get a code
turn on flashlight first in inventory

When i saw the numbers at that time in my inventory i had

bottle pill come from
ruler..
key
Also read book on the shelf..
took ball from mouse
put that in bottom of cup
Opened pill bottle took pill out
grabbed ruler from the baseboard
used ruler to knock down red box
used cup to fill up with water and
then added pill to cup..i saw the steam
then i used key to open up red box..
got flashlight from it..
turned it on in inventory
then used it on cup full of water and pill...
saw the numbers then
then used book to figure out code for pc

I had full inventory when i saw it..so maybe that might help..:)
Also make sure ball from mouse is in the bottom hole of cup underneath it..and the pill is in it..oh and i filled cup right up a few times..eh....i gather u did that though..lol
Here i am again at the same situation, and....... The numbers are there alright but i had to turn over my monitor almost 45 degrees, LOL

Me again, maybe it´s too early in the morning still and i´m yet not really awake but i don´t get this code at all.
I´ve been looking at Diana´s walkthrough but i don´t see how and why you convert H being 1, He-2 etc.
Got it, i googled the "periodic table of the elements". Why didn´t i do that before ?
I was never good in that matter at school neither, haha
lol for once i know what the letters mean :)they are the first 9 elements
hydrogen, helium, lithium, beryllium, boron, carbon, nitrogen, oxygen and fluorine
