they have a strategy guide on thepiratebay, it helped me alot, and on the numberlock, first, put 0-9. 1-3 should go green, then, just change one number on the other ones, when u only have 1 try left. well, u should be able to figure it out.
the white and black thing is.
white, black, black, white white white, black, black, black, black, white black, and so on.

1st four ROWS are blacked out in the 10-spots only.
ROW 1 2 1 is blacked out in the end-boxes and the 10-spots only (should black out a total of 4 spaces)
ROW 2 2 2 (A) is blacked out in the outmost edges and the 10-spots only (should black out a total of 6 spaces)
ROW 2 2 2 (B) is blacked out the same but skip the end boxes, start in one box further
6 ROW black out the inmost 3 boxes on each side
4 ROW black out the inmost 2 boxes on each side
2 ROW only the 10-spots should be blacked out
this will give you your arrow, and a code should appear at the bottom of the sheet.

i'm so stuck on the mathematical code for the safe in lindon hall. the answer has to be 82, and here are the factors-
Xa can be 8, 6, 4, 2, or 0.
Xb can be 9,8,7,6,5,4,3,2,1, or 0.
Xc 9, 6, 3, or 0.
Xd can be 9,8,7,6,5,4,3,2,1, or 0.
Xe can be 9, 6, 3, or 0.
Xf can be 9,8,7,6,5,4,3,2,1, or 0.
the equation is Xa (divided by) Xb (minus) Xc (plus) Xd (times) Xe (times) Xf.
There are no decimals, and no remainders, i think they are rounding up but can't figure out the pattern. help!!! any puzzles up to this I can help with.

Seanrick - if you're talking about the cryptogram (the one where you have to swap one letter for another), be sure that you've decoded the words above the letter, as well.
Fiyola has the full solution posted above. The one I forgot to fix was "Mozart"
If you're talking about the message you get by using the paper overlay, once you have figured out the message, you have to click on each letter to compile it and finish the puzzle.

I have been stuck on the string puzzle as well. I haven't played the game in about four days because I get aggravated. The thing that stinks is, when you run out of time there is no save point that allows you to go straight to the string puzzle, instead you have to do the stupid red box lock puzzle again. I gave up!

Red box puzzle: Find the correct set of numbers that make a code. There are only 5 tries.
This is a random puzzle, so no solution is given.
The arrows cycle the numbers. The bar with the number below is the enter bar. There is a reset bar.
The wrong numbers are shown by red buttons and if the number is correct the button turns green.
I did this by entering 1 2 3 4 5 1 2 3 4 5 on the first try. See if button(s) turn green.Then 67890 67890 write down in the paper , keep the correct one and replace wrong number to correct number
Can try to raise the red buttoned numbers one or 2 up by passing the numbers that are already green. Good luck.
