I'm gonna fill y'all in the way I escaped. So bear with me...
We've established that the codes are different each time we play flower/butterfly wise. So here's what I did: I said 'to heck with the painting.' I believe I followed Ziz's advice...
As far as the actual painting goes, it's the same every game.
Each petal on the LEFT flower = 4.
Each petal on the RIGHT flower = 1.
When you look at the books on the shelves, not the book in the drawer, you're going to find images of flowers that aren't on the painting. IGNORE THE PAINTING since you know what the flowers mean.
For me, when I opened the book depicting the eye, I found it to be like this:
One red on Left & three red on right.
I solved it like this:
L > 1x4 PLUS R > 3x1
All together equals 7.
For those that aren't great at math, simply take what I wrote above and replace the first numbers (1 and 3) with the numbers of red petals on the left and right flowers respectively (that means 'in order').
Onto the music! Which, lucky for you all, is a language I speak quite fluently.
When you solve the code, a keyboard pops down. Looking at the keyboard, you're seeing part of the main scale of the G -- or treble -- clef. Meaning this:
The keys from left to right are as follows...
C D E F G A B
You're little puzzle piece says 'CBF' if I remember correctly. Play those notes.
The second time 'round, after you plug your piece into the tray that pops up, you see a measure of music appear.
You now have a F-sharp (F#) and a C-sharp (C#).
I can understand how to someone that doesn't know how to read music, this would seem confusing. But! Those black keys are there for a reason! :)
Again, the white keys are:
C D E F G A B
There is a black key diagonally right above the C. That is the C-sharp/D-flat key. You need that.
There is also a black key diagonally right above the F. That is the F-sharp/G-flat key. You need that too.
The notes you now need to play are as follows:
G F# E D C# E
The whole keyboard is as follows:
C# F#
C D E F G A B
Y'all can figure that out, I'm sure. :)
Good luck!
xoxo
Kate!
ps...I hope that last keyboard thing came out right... :/

I liked this game!!! The painting tells what number to apply to the red petals...look at the blue butterflies surrounding each flower. For my painting (I think each game has the same painting but not sure); anyway, the left flower showed 1 red petal and 4 butterflies; right flower had 1 red petal but was surrounded by 1butterfly...to summarize: Left flower-ea red petal = 4; Right flower-ea red petal = 1. I hope that makes some kind of sense!! Also, don't forget to note what time the clock shows because that is the direction you will need to turn the dials under the table...hour first (Left) then minutes (Right).
Thank you Radmila...your WT got me through a few areas!!!!
