    ReplyDelete
  51. This is fustrating, why give us a screwdriver if there's nothing to screw !!

If those symbols at the bottom of the note are numbers, then the code will be easier to find, too of them are the same. But since when is a code given in an escape the room game...

    ReplyDelete
  52. ok try to translate the paper with the numerals and guess what? There are only two numbers in it in the last row.

  54. I think I've found out what a few symbols mean on the note. The second line from the bottom, where the middle symbols are the same, is a ya ya ha, or 2008...but I tried that and 2009 and no luck:(

    ReplyDelete
  55. Damn...maybe not...tried Babelfish as well...not helping me...gonna go sign up for Japanese class....

    ReplyDelete
  56. Anyone else getting anything?

    ReplyDelete
  57. Got the code finally !
The kana for "a-ya-ya-ha" on the note are to be interpreted as their numerical values in the Japanese kana "alphabetical" order. So the code is... 1886.

    ReplyDelete
  58. Nordinho is stuck in the same place:( I'll try back tomorrow...too tired to translate each character...hagn all!

    ReplyDelete

  74. For those who play the game and only see "squares" an no Japanese writing, you can download a japanese language pack. The file name is ie_ja.exe and only 2.5 mb, you can find it here:

    http://www.microsoft.com/DownLoads/details.aspx?FamilyID=24a66277-cd9f-4332-a6f1-52b85a6470bd&displaylang=en

( i´m not sure if i can post this link here, Yalçin. If not, please let me know and i´ll delete it)

  75. hello all,
Well Im trying to play the game, but I cant. My inventory is on top of the advertising and everytime I click on my items in the inventory, it opens the advertising instead. I was wondering if there is another link for the game. I used firefox and I try using IE with no luck. Thanks.

    ReplyDelete
  76. @Mary, i had the same in the beginning. Try to refresh (restart) the game, that worked for me.
( The game itself does has some spots that redirect you to different pages though, you might mean that)

    ReplyDelete
  77. Mari I had same problem. Try this link http://www.doodoo.ru/games/5009-karaoke-club-escape.html
btw do you use a Mac?

    ReplyDelete
  78. Thank you so much for the link, I'm out. Thanks for the code. Easy game after the code of course.

    ReplyDelete
  79. I love escape games, but it seams to me it is a little bit unfair for everyone that can't understand japanese to play this game... I feel very bad having to use the code that someone else found. Nice game though!!!

    ReplyDelete
  80. Hey carotcuite, when you ask where something is, and if no one answers right away and you find it by yourself, please dont post that you found it. Now I dont know where the bottle opener is. It was a good question.

    ReplyDelete
  81. Francois...you are my hero!!!! Please come back again...all of us addicts (oh the pain we go through just to escape a room. lol!) will need your great help! Hey Shuchun...you are always so helpful; shame on you for the "hit and run" lol!!!!! Seriously, thanks for all the great games you post for us and the translation. I was able to play and finish "12 Doors" but I get stuck on these pesky escape games!!!!! Geez! Anyway...thanks again Francois. You rock!

  85. The note says:
    To Yamada,
since you weren't feeling well and fell asleep, I'm leaving already.
    (a-ya-ya-ha...)
    hint... cellphone

the last one has actually no meaning. So it is an joke between the guys only, that occurred in a mail on the phone before.

    The story:
The guy Yamada was invited by his friend to go drinking with some girls. After that they went to Karaoke (where the Japanese usually drink some more on such occasions).
After escaping the room, Yamada gets angry at his friend, but before he can start a fight, his friend tells him, that he arranged to go out with the girls again and asks Yamada to come too.
He agrees and there is no reason to continue arguing...
