Ooh, live game!
Have chinese bookmark, candle, votive holders, weird tops of the rack (look like chess pieces kind of), flowers, matches, cane, key, watering can, chinese note and newspaper (?) STUCK
Remember to click the Japanese/English button to read clues in English. The hint button works but I don't understand the hint.
ALSO FOUND 24 has a diff view and there is a U on the elevator door on teh 2nd floor ??

The third charm is on the 2nd floor behind the 8's but I can't figure out how to open it...anyone?
You can jam lift door open with walking stick on floor 2, but I dont know why!

I got the 8 thing open. Just clickd on the buttons randomly but cant remember which order. Think it was top bottom left right bottom left top but I could be wrong, sorry!

The order is top, bottom, top, left, right, bottom, but dont ask me why i was just playing around with it.
you can also zoom in on the 24 on the second floor. no idea why though.
the only thing i can use is to put the stick in the elevator door on 2f to hold it open. but it goes away if i enter the elevator.

Does the sheet of paper with all the colors spell anything?? All I can get are the words: TOUR, FILM, COOK, BAKE...but I don't see what that has to do with anything!!!

One was om a purple boot rack. (can't remember which floor) and the other is on the shelf with the pamphlets.

I can't get charms on poster either. Assuming the charms are papers with symbols on them?
The paper with the colored letters reads:

Is the poster the one with the rainbow on it? That you can't approach with invisible power?
You have to use them on the poster in the order of green (second left on your inventory), fire (top right on your inventory) and water (top left on your inventory).

Is there a pattern for the vases and cups? I can't seem to get the water to go in. I just keep picking cups back up.

@annie, according to the pointers on the cards, vases are on the four corners, candle in the middle, cups on remaining slots. Put water in cups and plants in vases.
I didn't get a monster or anything...I just got into the elevator and went to the first floor. Are there other exits??

so i tried going back up to the 4th floor 4 times because of the "look back four time" note. she always kills me the 4th time. there must be a good end, not just "bad" and "alive" end though! and what's the crowbar for? i couldn't attack her..

If you dont put the stick in the door on floor to it goes up to floor 4 and the ghost appears if u put the stick in u go down. i dont understand what the bar is for or the note... is there a way to survive the ghost? looking back four times?

@angeles, there is a wall-mount box with a lock on the 5th floor. You open it to get a gold key. Lock it with the key and reopen it to get the water card.

@Carolina -- no. I am still stuck on figuring out a third end. I'm sure we must do something like smash the mirror, but I can't get it. I think I am going to give up for now.

Hey guys, what small door are you talking about? I'm trying to get the second charm.
@Catalyste the small door is the one on the 5f on the wall. it wasn't locked and there was a key inside. if you use the key to lock it, it opens up a different compartment with a charm in it.

i found out the crowbar end, go to fifth floor, turn around to face the elevator door and use the crowbar on it... then you can climb up a ladder to the roof!
Guys the reason why it's top, bottom, top, left, right is because you're recreating the number '4'. When you click on the sign on the door, it zooms in on the 4.

No. You can look back at yourself in the elevator when the doors are closed.

The note tells you to look back four times...I'm not sure what part of the game it's referring to other than when you go to the 4th floor and get killed by the ghost.

muhli, exactly what did you do to use the crowbar on the elevator door? I can't seem to use it. Everytime I do, I end up in the elevator.
lol, yeah I got the Bad and Alive ending. I'm trying to get the Roof Ending that muhli described, but I don't know exactly how to use the crowbar. Where on the elevator do we click, is there something we have to do first?

So right after you hold the door open with the cane and light the candle, turn around and open the locked extinguisher cabinet to get the crowbar. Go into the elevator and go to the 5th floor. Turn around and wait for the light indicator to go to another floor, then use the crowbar to break the elevator door to see the ladder.
As a bonus, click on the trapdoor after the Roof End comes up. Lol, it'll bang and then you can hear the ghost grumble.
Good game, got "Bad End" though...I was killed even after reading yalls comments..lol...never could get the cane to stick..That was fun..Thanks everybody
vbranam1, if you still want to get another end, use the cane on second floor elevator door after clicking the elevator button, after the door opens, use cane on the lower right corner of door right where it meets the frame. you will see it stuck there.
Is this game still alive? I'm totally stuck with no used items except the golden key. As if to make the game more confusing, the hints in English and Japanese have different meanings.
I can't look back at myself in the lift, I can't light the candle, I can't do anything about any of the items.
How do you open the locked extinguisher for the crowbar when it is, well, locked?
bernard, the key is behind the little house where the poster used to be on the 2nd floor.
Bernard, you can only use the candle, vase, cups, and leaves, and matches at a certain point in the game.
See as how you have the Golden key, go back to the exact place where you found it and lock the door, now open it. There will be a charm there. Take it.
Walkthrough:
2nd Floor:
Turn around towards elevator and take left candle. Turn back around towards other door and click on the sign, click on the 24 and it will zoom in on the 4. This is the clue for the framed puzzle in the room. Go to the puzzle and click the buttons in the shape of the 4: top, bottom, top, left, right. Take charm for Water.
3rd Floor:
Click magazine rack and take cups.
Open extinguisher cabinet and take matches and Charm for Fire. Go right and click on the umbrella rack to take cane. Go right again and click under the bench to take newspaper.
5th Floor:
Click wooden cabinet and take Watering Can. Click the plant on the right of the flowers to get the Leaves. Back out and click the Umbrella rack. Click the shiny tops of the rods to get Vases. Go right and click on compartment on wall. Open it and grab Golden Key. Lock the door with the key and open the door. Take Forest Charm. Back out and click on the extinguisher cabinet door to grab Memo.
Pay attention to the hints. After you get the memo a hint saying "An imitation have hint of memo." This means go back to the artificial flowers and look at the color order. Look at memo and following the color order of the flowers, decode it's message per line. You can look at yourself in the mirror in the elevator after the door is closed.
2nd Floor:
You have to break the seal around the poster to your left.
Take out the newspaper and read the clues. On the front page it mentions Forest, Fire, and Water. You have three charms that match this description. On the back it mentions that someone died of unnatural causes on the 4th Floor at 10PM.
Remember in the beginning it mentions that people disappear in the building at 10PM. You're in the building and it's 10PM.
Use the charms in order of the newspaper to break the seal. Just click on them one at a time, they'll make a chime sound. Afterwards, break the cement with the cane and open the small shrine. Click behind the shrine to find Silver Key. Click on the door of the shrine to find instructions on how to place the candle, vases, cups, leaves, and water.
*For Bad Ending: Light the candle and go in the elevator.
*For Alive Ending: Select the cane and press the elevator button. When it opens click the bottom right corner to wedge the door open with the cane. Go back to the shrine and light the candle. Go into elevator and press 1. And you're out.
*For Roof Ending: Do the same steps as Alive ending except before going into elevator, unlock the extinguisher cabinet to get crowbar. Light the candle and go to the 5th floor. Turn back around to face the elevator and wait till the light indicator is on the 4th one (the 4th floor), now use the crowbar on the elevator door. Climb ladder and out the trap door and you've escaped.
Personally, I think the Alive Ending is the best Ending you're going to get. Clicking on the trapdoor in the Roof ending will aggrevate the ghost! lol
About the Shrine placement:
Reference the three Charms of Forest, Fire, and Water. The arrows indicate where to place the vases, cups and candle on the shrine.
The note actually says, "DON'T look in the mirror 4 times!!!"

lol, people don't have to worry about looking into the mirror unless they hop into the elevator after they lit the candle. Then it's just automatic and he looks into the mirror 4 times.
Where did you see it say "Don't" ? It was in english and it said Look Back Four Times...

Catalyst: I played the game in Japanese; in the Japanese version, it says, "DON'T look back four times." The English one must be a wrong translation....
I tried playing this again. I don't know what I did different but I see the ghost, then the elevator buttons still work and I can move around floors 2,3, and 5 again. I don't know if this is a bug or if there is another ending. I can't seem to do anything other than light the candle again and go back up to the 4th floor. I did this a few times and was eventually killed.

danielle, the cups make a diamond shape, the vases go in the 4 corners.
cricket, there isn't a bug there are just different endings to this game, that's why you're able to go to different floors.
I posted a walkthrough indicating which endings you get.
If you go right in the elevator after lighting the candle, then you'll die. If you prop the elevator door open with the cane before lighting the candle, and then going to the first floor, then you're alive. If you prop it open with the cane, light the candle, grab the crowbar, go to the 5th floor and break the elevator door, then you're stranded on the roof.
Catalyste, I'm sure I lit the candle then went up to the 4th floor, saw the ghost, then could click the buttons still.
The other time I went to the 4th floor I couldn't do anything and the automatic 'look back 4 times' happened.
If you want to see something cool, do not put the cane in the elevator door, and do not enter the elevator after you light the candle. Just face the elevator and watch the door. It will open and close, then the ghost glides through the closed elevator door, across the room, and blows out the candle! (This is why you die if you do not prop the door open.)
cricket, I know that the elevator automatically goes to the fourth floor where the ghost is...but you said you were still able to press the buttons? Didn't you end up dying?
Catalyste, I did die eventually, but it was after about my 3rd visit to the 4th floor. I couldn't get to any of the other endings either.
The other time I played I went to the 4th floor and died straight away.
BTW, anyone gone back to play U-sensor 1, link at the top of this game. There's a creepy bit in that too.
cricket, did you click on the cane AND THEN click the elevator button. After that you have to stick the cane in the Bottom Right corner of the elevator door. You have to do that BEFORE you light the candle.
See, first you set up the shrine, stick the cane in the door, then light the candle.
Did you do that in this order?
The "don't look back 4 times" version actually makes sense :-)! If you don't block the door with the cane, but just go in immediately (or if after the ghost came to blow out your candle, you light it again), then you go up to the 4th floor, but the buttons still work. So, if you push the first floor button in time (before you have looked in the mirror 4 times), you still get the alive end!
