hi all, let's go!

yes!

Found a lighter and lots of codes... nothing else so far

Game on !

and scissors and a piece of paper and lots of places I can touch but nothing happens

Scissors on computer table

Disc on shelf

lit the stove

I have scissors (used), pliers, a wrench, and 2 papers

Scissors cut pillow for a green paper with holes

Pliers in trash in the bathroom

and a lighter

Used wrench/spanner on tap in bathtub.

corkscrew

found a DVD in the computer room and another paper in the billards room

Found sheet with holes in it in cushion on couch (use scissors)

Bottle opener in kitchen

I'm at the same place as you guys. Really stuck now!

You can interact with the stove.. but how?...

I lit the stove, but I'm not sure why

green paper with holes goes in slot by door to get new paper

Use lighter on stove

the green sheet with holes in it goes next to the upper picture in the right side of the kitchen

Green sheet with holes goes in the slot next to the door, gives you a note.

Hi, first time here.
got screwdriver, lighter, cd, sissors, 2 pieces of paper and a green card with holes

why is the stove lit and the water running? any idea yet?

Hi Claudia, Welcome!!
How did you get 2 pieces of paper? Dit you get them without using the green card?

I got the corkscrew hot on the stove

I've got two pieces of paper too one with a foot on it another with a container with a triangle

I also have a big paper with colored numbers

I have 3 papers (I think I am still missing one). One was from the picture using the green card, one from the chair in the billiards room, and one I can't remember.

@kitkat

and it cools in the water... still very confused

Guys use corck screwer on stove, it turnes red !

You can make the corkscrew cold again with the water. But why?

two empty spots in my inventory and stuck

Thanks! Didn't saw the one on the billiard table.

Tess: yes got them without it. one with a sign and one with colored numbers

After making the corkscrew hot, use the pliers on it and cool it down again.

when you use the pliers on the hot cork screw it looks smaller, but when I used it on something, it looked bigger again... a bug maybe?

I only have one spot open in my inventory

After you deformed the corkscrew it is the key for the top keyhole in the door.

Corkscrew in door 1st floor. Doesn´t open though.

thanks sneak. The bent and cooled corkscrew is now in the door lock

use crocked opener on door knob

Yes, yes, yes, cracked the computercode!

How do you know it opened the lock? I have tried that a bunch of times and nothing seems different

Ahhhh, I didn't cool it first. Thanks!

Please share the code!

What's the code SneakSnake??
Well done btw...!

me too... got password

Hi all!!! I start now

hi all... where is the lighter please?

Sue, on the first screen on table

Sue lighter is on coffee table bottom shelf

Hello SneakSnake and Koby Douek???? Please share!

For the computer code you have to use the note with all the colored numbers and letters on it. Use numbers and letters in color order. So first all red ones then yellow ones etc.
It's ASCII codes.

ty all... finally got it...thought i searched everywhere :-)

code hint: look at the characters in the blue note, as pairs according to thier colors. Notice it says "ASCII"

just starting...

Using the information you get from the computer combined with the picture in the pooltable room you can crack the code at the door.

How do I get the water to run?

I'm out... good one.

I'm still confused with the computer code, must be missing something...probably something simple...

Now I'm stuck with the last code. Probably has something to do with the four white notes?

Claudia, use the wrench on the toilet

@Koby Douek, a hint please for the last code.

Cluadia: You have to use the wrench, it's on the toilet

Oh for crying out loud. For those of us who have only the vaguest idea of what the hell ASCII code is, please give us the computer code, or at the very least a better hint?!?

Look at the four white notes, and check out the picture in the pool table

@SneakSnake the white notes seem to be Egyptian heiroglyphics. I don't have them all yet, though.

I'm still working on the ASCII code

SneakSnake, I've been right where you are for a while now. How do you combine the numbers on the computer with the painting?

Bill, this helped me alot !
http://www.asciitable.com/

@Bill,

All red ones = 007B
All yellow ones = 006A
All blue ones = 007A
All black ones = 003F
All Purple ones = 007D

They are ascii codes and you can look them up

Computer code: {jz?}

I only have 2 white notes... a "leg" and a "triangle or fire in a pot" where are the others??

@Raw, only look at the green ones.

Snake, you are in the last code ?
For that code you need to identify the symbols (google it)

for the non-ASCII among us, the code is {jz?}

@Koby Douek, please, pretty please with sugar on top a hint for the last code.

Thanks @Koby Douek, but I can't identify them. Are they; Owl, Fire, Bird, Leg (or foot)?

koby & Jo-Ann: Thx, found it!

and OUT

I appreciate the hints. I've looked at an ASCII table (asciitable.com) and I might as well be looking at chinese characters. I just do not get it.

http://www.iw-chameleon.co.uk/history/ancient_egypt/images/write/heir.gif

this might help for the heiroglyphics
http://www.greatscott.com/hiero/hiero_alpha.html

where are all the 4 papers...have only 2 whites

Even better:
http://www.all-about-egypt.com/image-files/alphabet-hieroglyphs.jpg

Oh my god! Guys, do you really speak English?? For me it's like Japanese! I didn't knew I'm that bad with computers ;-{.

After I found out the code for the computer (with lots of braindamage lol), I got in. And what's my award....!!?? A part of a Word file! Can somebody please tell me what to do with that!?

Right with you Bill.... not a clue

kitkatfox - I think this is the first time I beat you and got out first... I am humbled...

I'm stubborn and finally got the ascii code myself. Very slow :P

Still stuck on the painting. Grrrr...

Guys, I'm at an advantage, I am from Israel and I learned the Egyptian symbols and Alphabet...

And out...thanks for all the help!

Still don't have the last code; I think the letters are m, g, a, b. But is there a certain order?

and finally out!

@sneak: not A!! Else it´s right.

So I finally get the computer code and . . . . . a blank word document. Is the clue the times new roman?

@SneakSnake you have some of the letters wrong. MGB is right, but A is not. The quail can be W or OO

@Bill back up so you see the computer desk and use the CD on the screen

Minoto ending: it is a joy exit after came the notes and is it happy for ever and joy after sickness in house of sun

I'm late. Well, trying it now.

I felt so smart before, solving the first two codes and now I feel so stupid. The letters are m,g,w,b I think. But can't find the order (and upper case or lower case).

Oh of course, why didn't I think to use a CD on a monitor?!? I really get frustrated with illogical use of props. Does it show?

@Bill Please give us the code in english.

SneakSnake - the green numbers are 1248. Is the code a number? I've tried all combinations of those.

I think I used mgob...and the picture changed to a key.

@Raw, just the order of the green ones on the picture (so start with 4 then second row etc.)

I'm still stuck on the comp code. got from a list 123, 106, 122, 63 and 125 but it's getting me nowhere

@volker mgob isn't working and i'm feeling more stupid every minute.

Hmm, the chicken was u,w or o. Have to rstart to find out. Maybe capital letters. Sorry, don´t remember exactly.

@Claudia, the computer code is already given. It is;(lower case!) = {jz?}

Madde, the code rally is the characters {jz?}.

@Doesn't matter @volker I just wait for kitkatfox her walkthrough.
You're eager to write one after your vacation @kitkatfox aren't you?

4281

Claudia - look at the ascii web page that someone posted. The code is literally {jz?} (including the brackets).

DOH!

I was typing the 4281 into the wrong spot.

TY! Bill

MGBO...sorry mixed the last 2 up. In case you don´t want to wait for the walkthrough.

ok everyone i may be stupid but i cannot figure out the anscii it is like japaneze to me pls help

Final code: mgbo

the hieroglyphics part I get. I have gone back and looked at that ascii table again. I think I may get it, but what's with all the leading zeros? Oh, and how did you know to use only the green puzzle pieces on the pool-room wall?

ty raw

got it now, thx raw & sneakSnake

Thanks @Raw and @volker, but where did the order come from?.
In my inventory the order was Owl, Fire, Bird and Leg so m,g,o,b?

MGBO dont work for me ??? is this for the paintin at back of sofa ?????

Wasn´t the little bird the end of the papers? Only fractured on the left side?

@Bill the zero's go in front of the letters and then you've got ASCII (see one of me previous comments).
In the other code I used green, because they were the only ones with the same shape.

Thanks @volker, of course, didn't look at the shapes of the notes anymore because I felt so stupid, but that's it.
By the way, funny; If you click play again and click one thing all your items are back and you can go out again.

Your mouse will turn to a small hand when you can interact with something and a large pointing hand when you can go into a new room

ahmm guys? How and where do you make water run?

Ok. I got it now.

out! thanks for all the help!
Edgar: use the wrench on the wc, I missed it as well

Edgar -- in the bathroom (off the computer/bedroom) using the wrench/spanner from the back of the toilet.

It's really good to have you back with your walkthroughs @kitkatfox. I missed them and tried to be a substitute but mine are what they are; just substitutes.
You're the queen of walkthroughs.

O, and of course not only because of your walkthroughs. It's good you're back with all your input.

       Anonymous  1/5/10, 12:44 PM

That was all kinds of painful.

       Anonymous  1/5/10, 12:45 PM

LOL Edgar...

sneaksnake. Your walkthroughs are wonderful and have saved me lots of times. I think it is great that more people are doing them so people don't have to wait so long for them!

By the way, this seems to be a good guide to ASCII codes. It is a PDF that you can search

http://unicode.org/charts/PDF/U0000.pdf

       Anonymous  1/5/10, 12:54 PM

Poor Asha - she would have gone nowhere if I was left alone with this. I had everything in the inventory and not a clue what to do with them. Thanks to all for the clues, explanations, and of course the masterly walkthrough.
Oh Lord... I suppose there will be a part 2 sometime...my brain hurts....

Well, well, well. I go off to do some studying and then come back to find a new game. Let's see how far I can get before I start peeking at the walkthru'. Not very I suspect lol

Phw, this looks like being a long game. It looks like a SSSG game.

Rambler, it reminded me of the older Sneaky Guy games too. And thanks to kitkatfox's walk though, I finished it! :-)

Hi tribble, I'm determined not to peek at the walkthru. But I'm struggling a little. Done loads of stuff though and got quite an inventory.

Purple Hell is a good tool for codes and ciphers and stuff.

My head hurts :P Still cant figure the ASCII code. Pls help me, yeah I know im stupid

While I'm on, can I just say that it's so refreshing to not have a pixel hunt. Gazzyboy and 123bug take note.

Annelies, go here
http://www.purplehell.com/cgi-bin/riddles/hex.pl
and enter the same colour text in the right hand side and press decode.
eg, red = 007B

@Annelies, just look at the walkthrough part 2. It's written between SPOILER and SPOILER. Type it exactly like that, so no uppercase letters.

An yes @Rambler you're right I really liked this game.

ooh on unicode it much more clear thnx ;)

@Annelies the way to do the ASCII code is to look at the paper with the colored numbers and letters. Find all four for one color -- like red. Then search for that exact combination in here: http://unicode.org/charts/PDF/U0000.pdf

The short answer is {jz?} and yes, you need all the symbols

I really liked this game, but I guess others didn't. It's rating is low :(

Hi SS, I think I've nearly finished. In my defence I only had to check your walkthrough about what to do with the corkscrew, I was madly hunting for bottles of wine. (Nothing new there though lol)

Yeah I just saw your post about unicode, then I figured out, thanks anyway :)

kkf, I think that these kind of games are great. I just wish I had the time and energy to make one myself!!
Oh, and I just gave it 5 stars :)

Yay, I got out. That was a good game, I look forward to part 2.

THKS EVERYONE i couldn't make this without hints

I don't find any note in the bedroom (I have the note from the cushion and the note from the door upstairs).

@Pascale, the note in the bedroom is on top of the bed, in front of the pillows.

NEVER ever would I have finished this with out all the help from comments. Thank you kitkatfox for walkthrough.

And I still haven't got the code and I don't even bother all that work to find it either. But why is it so difficult for you all to just write down what the code actually is?

Thank you, SneakSnake. I've just realized that I had this paper from the bedroom : the paper I missed was from the leather chair.

@K huh? We did say all the codes. And all of them are in the walkthrough, too. The computer code is {jz?}

and yes, you need all the symbols and lower case letters

Computer code was different for me: urG8h

It appears the "updated" version has different locations for some objects and a different clue for the computer password (Webdings).

Please note, I played on the original host site, not through the link posted on this page...
