gotmaiiiillll!!!!

good start in the morning but im just so sure not to get very far

       Anonymous  1/7/10, 10:53 PM

am i all alone? im stuck already... with toiletpaper

is there anyone?

just loading

Got three cards (think I need a coin to scratch off), a tied-up book (used), scissors (used), two keys (used), Y button thing (used), now have paper with clue for code, hammer, and TP... and stuck

Used hammer and TP... can't figure out how to enter code. Hmm.

and still loading :(

i have 3 yellow cards (A, B, D),
1 used key and one yellow key,
1 pair of scissors
1 used clockwise book
and 1 used "Y" block..

stuck!

what does the second yellow key unlock?

wow im like 20 mins late.

hope i can catch up, but idk, the last gotmail game really got the best of me, hopefully i do better with this one.

@Dapink, look at closet by plants

@MissFeas, thx!

Wow, thanks for the "couch is south" clue. Because of that, I was able to escape!

The scissors get used for the book and on a sleeve.

The second key unlocks the double closet doors. You have to zoom in, then click lower (w/o backing out) to access the keyhole.

one of the hints

the view of blinds with sofa is south and u will use this hint after u open the closet

I'm stuck. Have panel open, seem to know what the code should be, but can't change the numbers. I hope it's not a bug.

Figured it out... POP

Shuchun! You give me too much credit, lol! I think I got that e-mail and password from Martin. :) But thanks! And hugs! :D

You have to change the code at the points around the room, one on each wall. There is one behind the clock to get you started.

@MissFeas, where did you get the TP?
(new here :)!)

Got all cards and scratched them off... can't figure out code for desk drawer. Hmm.

@Dapink look through cabinets over desk

@MissFeas, did you look in the desk drawer after you undid the bottom panel?

Yay! I LOVE Gotmail games!

@ladyofsinging - nope, totally forgot about that. And OUT! With only one hint at the end. A first for me on gotmail games. :)

mmf! still can't open the drawer of the desk..

@feline
so thx martin,too :)

wow this gotmail game is EASY ive solved everything without help or getting stuck until now!

just need to figure out what ABCDx5361 means... all i have left undone is opening the codebox in the bottom drawer, everything else was easy, and i alraedy have all 4 cards

is this game still live i wonder?

got it!

yay its still live, that means ive caught up!

ok so any ideas on what the note clue means?

ABCD should equal 1915 according to the cards, but multiplying it by 5361 gives us 10266315 and that wont fit in the codebox!

according to my cards, ABCD should equal to 2719... ?

Looks like ABCD is going to be different numbers for everyone, mine were different than Suicine's.

@Suicine - see lady's last hint to me

its not 7765... i got that by:

Dx1=5
Cx6=6
B=3=27 (7, carry 2 over to A)
Ax3=5 (+2)

but that failed to open it.

@MissFeas, lady's, ooooh! thanks!

im out!

Take ABCD as a 4-digit number (for example, mind would be 2178), then multiply by the number after opening the desk drawer.

OUT!

ty ladyofsinging, thats the only thing i missed, i didnt check the drawer again after opening the bottom panel! after getting the eraser it was easy.

so other than that 1 thing....

OUT WITHOUT HELP FROM A GOTMAIL GAME! :D

very nice logical game, rated it 5

You are all so much smarter than I! Or maybe I didn't click the right spots yet? All I found was the yellow Y block, the toilet paper (is there a toilet nearby? Lol!) and 2 cards (A and D).

This was the first time I ever got out without any real help, aside from reading that the couch was south. Otherwise, I'm feeling pretty satisfied, since even the "easy" ones lately have been giving me trouble! :D

@Feline, have you used the Y block on the mountain picture, yet? Try it there, but don't forget to take it back after you're done.

Where did you find the C card???
I've been playing for half an hour, found and did everything, unlocked the locker, found the coind, etc. etc... except for the damn card!! I've A B D card, where is the C?

@Minhea, look under the desk again. Use the coin in a different way, and don't forget to open the drawer again from up above.

ok guys i liked this game, and since some people are still stuck, im gonna do a walkthrough!

gimme about 1 hour though, its not that short of a game, so this walkthrough may take a while to write.

Wow, thank you so much Lady! :)
I feel so stupid, lol!

Where is the coin, please?

where the heck is the coin?

I feel so lame asking that...

ok... at least i'm not alone... Hi there usha...

The coin is inside the safe

what do you use to unscrew screw under table to open desk drawer? is it the coin? where is it? can imagine the last card is in the drawer??? help!

to get the coin, you need to open the safe behind the panel by the filing cabinet in the couch view.

@ladyofsinging, yeap! Thanks, I used it, now I need to find this coin you are talking about and the C card. And I need to use the toilet paper somewhere. Suggestions? Lol! :)

I'm right there with you dideedi

But I cannot change the numbers from the safe. What I have to do before?
Sorry about my english, I'm german.

No idea how to open the safe and I still have unused TP (which is a good thing I think)

I think I miss the clue on how to open that safe. Is there one? Lol! And that desk drawer? Lol! I am lousy, I know. :)

@feline
Toilet paper can be used at the yellow things inside the big locker, it shows you the code for the safe, I guess.

stuck stuck stuck.

yes! and out! thanks for south clue. just needed a bit of prompting to be headed in right direction. excellent and logical game. good old gotmail!

the TP/paper towel wipes on the 9 squares in the double closet. each game has different numbers. use those numbers as N/S/E/W on the little arrows on each wall. one is behind the clock, one under the desk, one by the front door, and one in the double closet. the couch is south.

@usha, to change the safe numbers you need to find the "dials" around the room. There is one behind the clock and one behind the trash bin (under the desk). The other ones: inside the double-door closet and by the door. :)

OMG! I'm out! [=

and out! nice game.

WALKTHROUGH:

Things you'll need to know: the initial view with the couch is facing south.

1) zoom in on the window behind the couch, raise the blinds and get card D. back up

2) zoom in on mountain picture and notice 3 plugs on the corners, and one with a Y in the bottom right. back up

3) zoom in on clock and notice that it moves aside and you can zoom in on the arrows, which change the number. back up twice.

4) zoom in on the bottom of the filing cabinets and see a panel on the wall. back up.

turn right

5) you can open all the yellow cabinets, but the only one with something is on the right. Take the roll of paper towels and back up.

6) zoom in on the desk and click on the chair to move it. note the long center drawer is stuck. click underneath to see a screw holding it shut. click on the garbage to move it and find another set of arrows. back up three times.

7) zoom in on the side drawers. open the bottom drawer and notice a code box. open the second one from the top and retrieve card A. back up twice.

turn right

8) zoom in on the bookcase by the door (click between the door and the case). click again to change views and get the string-wrapped book and see more arrows. back out to chair view.

9) open closet doors and see that the top left drawer is locked. go ahead and open all drawers. shift the shirts to the left, then note the sleeve of the yellow shirt is tied funny. back up.

10) click under the chair to acquire the yellow Y square (remember the mountain picture?) back up.

turn right

11) zoom in on the double closet doors, then click halfway between the handles and the floor to see you need a key to unlock it. back up twice.

(from now on, directions will be based on task at hand)

12) turn to the couch and zoom in on the mountain picture and use the Y in the bottom right corner. remove the plug on the bottom left to get a circle key, then go back and get the Y again (you'll need it elsewhere). back up.

13) return to the chair view and open the closet. use the key to open the top left drawer and get the scissors.

14) use the scissors on the yellow shirt sleeve to get a square key. cut open the book and get card B.

15) go to double closet doors and unlock with new key. use paper towels on orange squares to get 4 numbers in N/S/E/W orientation (different for each game). Click on globe to get paper that says ABCD X 5361 (I think that's the same, anyway). Use Y on box above globe to get hammer.

16) See arrows above orange squares. You know the 4 numbers now, and you know that the couch is south, so this must be east. change the 0 to your east number, then travel around the room changing each number to its appropriate one.

17) After your numbers are changed, go back to the panel by the filing cabinet and use your hammer on it to open it up. It should say "UNLOCK". Click on the middle and get the coin.

18) Go back to the desk, and use the coin underneath to open the middle drawer panel and get card C.

19) Use the coin to scratch the circles on cards A, B, C and D to get numbers (different for each game). Put in order as a 4-digit number.

20) For good measure, back up, then open the middle drawer and get an eraser. You only have one piece of paper, so give it a try and see that it is now ABCD x 3. Multiply your number by three to get the code for the box in the bottom drawer of the desk.

21) Use code on box in bottom drawer to get key. Use key on front door and you're out!

where to use the code? i mean the last code...

nvm..got it :)

thanks ladyofsinging...OUT after use the tp and eraser :D

I'm lost as to the code to open the box in drawer. Suicune, any brilliant help, please? My note says ABCD x 5361, but my ABCD cards form the number 3220, so... A=3, then I'll have a 5-digit number if I multiply A for 5 (and the other respective numbers), right? Is it Ax5, Bx3, Cx6 and Dx1? I'm lost. Lol! :)

Ops! Late post, lol! Thanks for the walkthrough, I had totally forgotten about that eraser! :D

Great game! I like Gotmail a lot! (I never figure things out, but I like it.) :D

thx ladyofsinging~ a marvellous walkthrough

Thanks! I know Suicine was going to do one, but I just felt like trying since I actually made it out! LOL.

Wow cool Gotmail game !
I did it all alone, the only hint i needed was that the sofa view is the south.
Thx Shuchun for this important hint !!

@ladyofsinging

no worries, multiple walkthroughs never hurt anyone! nice job on yours!

Yay a Gotmail game!!!

Yay I'm out!

Thanks for the hint with the TP. Everything else was good.

Hard, but almost everything I found myself :D

WHERE'S THE FUCKING Y TILE? UNDER THE COUCH NEXT TO THE BOOKCASE WHERE I TAKE THE TIDED UP BOOK, THERE NO FUCKING Y TILE!!! IS THERE ANYBODY WHO CAN EXPLAIN EXACTLY WHERE'S THE TILE IS?

@el_principe_del_canuto, I replayed it and at first there was no Y-tile indeed. After I took the first three cards and the roll of paper and... (and that was probably important) after opening the closet with the 3 shirts and moving them, the y-tile was under the chair.
What I also did before it was there (maybe also important) was clicking the four corners of the mountain picture.
Good Luck.

the tile was there when i did my walkthrough. however, i did move the clothes beforehand when double checking if there was anything there to include in my next step.

also, i think i clicked the painting too. so its highly likely 1 of those is a trigger for the tile to appear, that i wasnt aware of.

perhaps if the game wasnt in japanese, the text we see when moving the clothes might have told us the tile came from behind them or something?

canuto, some G Mail games are done in a certain order in order for you to advance. This is one of them.

In order to get the Y Tile, first you have to go to the closet and move the shirts. Go back to the couch and you will find the Y tile sitting there.

That (the text) was my guess as well @Suicune.
Anyway I'm glad you like Gotmail now after the first disappointment. The previous one wasn't good ideed, but I do advice you to play the older ones because they're really good. I do remember one with strawberry and/or tomato in the title. But there are many more, but not easy to find on EG24, you have to search at other places (don't know where).

       Anonymous  1/8/10, 7:48 AM

wow, what a nice game! thanks to the creator!!!

SneakSnake, it's Strawberry Tomato! lol

Yes, I've loved all GotMail games (I can't believe I called it G Mail! lol)

The easiest way to find more Gotmail games is to simply create an account there and go to their Backroom. That has the complete list of all their released games. The ones shaded out are the ones you currently have to pay for. But I suspect they'll release them for general play sooner or later.

@el_principe_del_canuto you are rude! You should ask nicely for help >:(

Click on the link where it says Gotmail in the game description, and it will take you to all the gotmail games on EG24

out with some help (kicking myself for not thinking to use the coin 2 times -- duh!)

By the way, you can solve the game without the south clue. When you enter numbers into the walls, the matching number appears on the safe. A tiny bit of trial and error allows you to match the safe order to the box order. That's how I did it because I suck at my cardinal directions :p

kitkatfox, my clue was the "Clockwise" that appeared on the cover as well as the order of the numbers that appeared on the safe. That told me that you start enter the code you find in a clockwise manner beginning at the door.

well for me, i did it by trial and error since the numbers appear in the machine when you enter them in the panels. so i just adjusted them as needed to solve it. the clockwise clue went right over my head there, and i in fact did not even think to try the scissors on the book until the end! (thats also why that step is near the end in my walkthrough, cuz thats how i originally did the game)

@Catalyste I saw the clockwise hint and knew what it meant. I still managed to mess the code up and had to use the safe to get it by trial and error lol

Oh Suicune....you just love Brute forcing things! lol

My biggest thing was trying to find the C card. Unfortunately because of that I was stumped and didn't bother TPing the yellow blocks in the closet. Otherwise I would have finished without any help. lol

lol i actually found the C card BEFORE the B card, and i think i must have been the only player to do that rofl

I love Gotmail games , so nice to look at and play! always the best . And I didn't need help today :-)

Catalyste, kitkatfox, SneakSnake and Suicune, you all rule! It's a pleasure to play with you! :D
And yes, click on Gotmail (on the "from Gotmail" part) on this game description and you'll be taken to a page with all the Gotmail games here. :)
@el_principe_del_canuto: being polite and nice is free and brings you good things. Being rude does you no good. Got it? ;)

Wow, it took me a little more than an hour to finish this excellent game :)
And now that I'm reading the comments... I agree with kitkatfox: game is absolutely solvable without the south view hint (I did it that way), and I also got the B card the last :P

By the way, has anyone wondered... where was the time capsule???

@feline, thanks, but don't forget most of the time we solve it together with all the EG24 gamers as a team. And for walkthroughs a special thank should go to @Prid as well and a very special 'thank you' should also go to (although we see him just sometimes, but when he is there he really saves the day) @Xenon.
But again it's EG24 that rules, the best site and the best gamers!

       Anonymous  1/8/10, 2:25 PM

walkthrough perfect!! thanks Suicune

congratulations !!

out !

<> feline! :D

@sneaksnake -- yes, half the fun of playing the games is interacting with other players. Even if that is just reading their old comments.

EEK! my hugs for feline got edited lol.

Trying again hugggzzzzzzz, fe!

I feel loved!

*hugs feline!*

Oh yeah, when you click the Gotmail, the listing it takes you to is incomplete.
For some reason The Bar doesn't show. I had to google it and click the link in order for it to show up on this site...

@edgar

i just noticed the description for this game is a copy-paste of the last gotmail game named "time capsule" lol.

so im guessing thats where the capsule came from, because there isnt 1 in this game.

oh i have my brain back again....lol!!! after locking myself in the control room i thought i was doomed...!!!! i love GotMail games because they have such a wonderful logic to them :)

@Suicune and @Lady...great walkthroughs :) thank you for taking the time to write them! i almost forgot where to use tp so thank you...lol!!!!

after I used the tp/paper towels to get the safe code, it is just a matter of plugging in the numbers in the wall locations; however, if a few are out of place, all one has to do is write the proper order down on paper *according to closet code* and then go to the areas and input the correct number.... :D i had to do that but it was easy peasy!!! great game!!!!

Thank you GotMail. Your gams are totally awsome!

First Gotmail game ever that I solved without help! :-D Especially good after I despaired of the previous one completely... I hope the feedback here somehow reaches them.

Very logical and exciting game, and great design too!

Nice game! (Didn't play the initial Japanese version in 2010)

Now they even have the game text in KOREAN (!!) on demand. Quadrilingual gaming fun! Not bad.

Yes it was very logical, just one translation flaw let me struggle: they wanted me to look for something to "sharpen" the card.
That's why I was always looking for a stone to maybe use the card as a self-made knife to cut the strings from the book =)
(Could have been a nice puzzle as well, to be noted for future authors.)

That's not sharpening, but scratching like a scratch ticket in lottery. (Hah, they did it right in the title!)

out without any help. Very nice game!

Wow it only seems like yesterday that I played
this for the first time.
Time flies when you're....
Enjoyed the replay though.

It was a good game !

To get the 'Y' tile to appear, you must move the clothes in the cupboard. When you move the third item of clothing it says "Huh? Something came falling out". That's the 'Y' tile falling under the chair.

That was fun! These gotmail games go a bit faster in English, no?

Beautiful game! loved it...thanks for the "paper towel"...could not figure out where to use toilet roll!! :D Thanks for a lovely, polite place to play. Thanks for efforts to keep it that way!

Thanks for the help, everybody - I love these GotMail games, but I can rarely finish them on my own.

my large closet is not opening with second key!

Top game

ladyofsinging's walkthrought doesn't work. I'm not sure if it's because we all are assigned different versions. She said that we can open the yellow cabinets but I can't because there are locks on them. She found card D in the window beside the sofa but I found card B. She said there's another card in the second drawer of the desk but there isn't. Any thoughts?

The newest English version is quite different (i.e., you need a key to open the yellow cupboards) so unfortunately I haven't sloved it :(

key in closet below globe.

key for yellow cabinets is under desk.

the wifi mouse opens the locked drawer in clothes closet for c card.

white number in closet with globe is 4th number along with ABC cards.

Sad that you have to go back to 2012 to get a good game. Why isn't anyone making games anymore?
