Let's play!

found a magnifying glass behind the sofa

got magnify glass and green glasses so far

#5 on the painting

you can zoom with magnifying glass on the painting

magnifying glass on picture gives code

4 numbers on the painting actually, one in every corner

numbers are 4425 - still trying to get them in correct order

got cheese, I know this goes downstairs, still looking for bulb.....

i'm in and so far i have, um, nothing

@Annaby, I found 9541

TV books give you order of colors (numbers will come)
then turn on tv to find colors on corners(each color represents number found on painting)
Put numbers in order for lock box to get green glasses
use on fridge for cheese

if the room is square, why are there about 10 corners? just asking...

got a cube, glasses, cheese and stuck

in empty cupboard, use green glasses for book and code.....

thanks @greenmama for code order

got lightbulb

shanna, how did you get cube?

Thanks greenmama!

lol @zoz, that's what I thought too

NVM, got 1 cube from phone, I suppose there's 6 cubes to get?

there is a cube under the phone

it's in the blue couch when you have the glasses on.

numbers appear to be different for each game. cool glasses!

glasses help you see what time you need to set

set clock and drawer opens under bed

use glasses on tv, gives you time for clock, get key conversion machine

btw, these glasses confirm my theory about a parallel universe...

use glasses on hat stand, opens square on couch, get another cube

I have 3 cubes so far.....

put glasses on, there's a key behind sofa now

where's light bulb?

anyone know what the thing by the door is for?

got metal from mouse now, hmmm.....

once you find the key you open the locked box and you get a bulb

gave cheese to mouse and got a piece of metal in return

BTW, thank you and your welcome

still stuck now....lol!

take off glasses downstairs... someone is watching you!

Got a key with conversor thing

Open door and stange room

stuck with 4 cubes

@Cece how did you use the conversion?

A red key I cant take

open valve D and turn on water upstairs for another cube

oh, forgot to go right in basement to turn on valve d, lmao!!!

In the sink, open water and a square appaers

you can go right in the cellar and open the valve, then you can go to the sink and make a key from metal and converter machine

there's a fifth cube in the new room

I got 5 cubes, I miss one

there's a cube in the box downstairs

got 5th from blue room

where's #6?

put metal in box over sink to get key for the other room

what does the yellow key open? I don't think I used it yet

there's a new box downstairs but can't open it

WOOT out!

use blue key to get second piece of cheese from fridge... mouse gives you 6th block

out too nice game

FOUND IT!!! Give mouse the other piece of cheese!!!

give another piece of cheese to the mouse and get cube nr 6

just got those glasses, now what?

got purple glasses now after entering the cubes

use the new glasses to find the scissors... cut rope for red key... find new door... press button under old box to raise the stairs. Out

And out!

out - thanks all!

Nice and good game

and out too!

I agree @cece, very nice game!

Thanks all!!

still stuck on the boxes,
can anyone make a list of where I can find them?

I`m stuck with key conversion machine, magnifier, blue key, piece of cheese, 3 cubes and green glasses.
Don´t know where to use the key, neither to find the bulb. Any help, please?

Where is rope??

Got only 5 cubes, missing one.
let's see...
Under phone.
Mouse hole.
Valve-D view.
Blue room.
Where were the two others?

put glasses on and go all the way tothe left, open little brown cupboard with key and i thought there was the bulb.

Found it and out.

one cube is under phone, give creature in basement cheese to get another, go right in basement and a cube is in the water. (with glasses on turn coat rack handle and get cube out of sofa. there is another cube in the second room. trying to remember the last one....

that was fun! at least once i figured out to turn the pages in the book to get the telephone #, ha! @peke, if you only have five keys, check the book again!

Found the sofa one.
Was the last in fireplace?

the fireplace gave the purple glasses....

I have my red glasses but can't find the scissors anywhere. Where are they? I see the 2nd box near the stairs but it won't open.

Thanks shanna. Had forgotten completely that cupboard!

Scissors on the shelf where the fridge is

Thank you Henrique. And out.

did we ever use the code "Istanbul 2010" from the book??

ahaha, didn't saw the book
ty

And out.
Found everything by myself afterall :)

Gonna check which cube position I forgot...

And yes the cube was in fireplace.

I'm doing something wrong I cannot get the numbers right no matter what.

@apricotmama, the colours of the books symbolise the numbers and the tv (I think with glasses on) give the order of the colours/numbers

       Anonymous  3/29/10, 1:04 PM

Ok got it

       Anonymous  3/29/10, 1:05 PM

Thank you Truus.

yw apricotmomma!~~sorry I spelled your name wrong before.

What a great game!!!

@truus...I forgot about that...what did Istanbul 2010 mean???

Anyone still here? Can´t find the scissors. Help

SQUARE ROOM ESCAPE - WALKTHROUGH

- Look the color order of books in lower shelf; go right.

- Zoom UNDER PHONE the get Cube #1; zoom out and go right.

- Zoom in right side of couch and take the magnifying glass; zoom out.

- Turn TV on and look the colors (of books) in each corner; go left.

- Use the MAGNIFYING GLASS on each corner of the picture and figure out the CODE. Numbers change. Go right 4 times.

- Use your CODE on box and take the (green) Secret Glasses; go left.

- Green glasses on, open the cupboard and take a book from third shelf to see you need to collect 6 cubes in order to get another set of Secret glasses and, going through the pages, a PHONE NUMBER only visible with the MAGNIFYING GLASS selected; close that view and move left twice.

- Green glasses on, there's an extra (fourth) hang on the rack; click on it to reveal a box on the couch in which you'll find Cube #2.

- Green glasses on, zoom behind the couch (right side) and take the blue key; zoom out and go left.

- Zoom in the phone and dial the NUMBER from the book; if done well the fireplace will open to give you Cube #3. Go left.

- Green glasses on, use the KEY on the cabinet to get the (light)bulb; go right twice.

- Green glasses on, turn the TV again and see a CLOCK TIME; go right 4 times.

- Green glasses on, now you can see 2 buttons beside the clock. Use them to set the clock at the TIME from TV; if done well, an extra drawer on bed will open to give you the Key Conversion Machine. Go right.

- Green glasses on, open the fridge and take the left piece of cheese; go left twice.

- Take off the glasses. Click on the stairs to go to the basement.

- Down there put the BULB and turn lights on. Put the CHEESE in front of the mouse hole and wait to the mouse eat it; take the Piece of metal the mouse gives you in return; go right.

- Click on Valve-D to have running water on the sink upstairs; then zoom in the pink box and take Cube #4. Zoom out twice (you're upstairs again) and go right twice.

- Green glasses on, open the fridge again and take the remaining piece of cheese; go left twice.

- Glasses off, go down to the basement (again), turn lights on (again) and give the cheese to the mouse (again). Now you can get Cube #5. Zoom out (upstairs) and go left twice.

- Open the water tap and see the mirror moving aside. Put the Conversion Machine in the hole and click on the button to open it. Put the piece of metal inside and wait while it becomes a yellow key; take it and use it on the door on that view to enter a new room.

- Zoom in the right side of the middle box to get Cube #6. Select the cubes in inventory and start placing them in the boxes, from the upper ones to the bottom. After that you can grab the (purple) Secret Glasses Level 2. Go out and to the right 4 times.

- Purple glasses on, there are now some shelves on the wall. Move away a box on the lower shelv to find some scissors; take them and go back to the door, 4 times to the left.

- Enter the room again (with yellow key) and zoom in the left side of middle box. Use the SCISSORS to obtain the red key; zoom out twice (outside) and go right twice.

- Purple glasses (still) on, use the red key on the lower cupboard to open it and press the green button inside; see the basement stairs move up to allow you to use the door and to do a great Square Room Escape. CONGRATS!

@debra
Probably just reference to 'European capital of culture 2010'. Author might be from there...

TY Edgar and debra. I missed the cube under phone. Out now.

       Anonymous  3/29/10, 1:22 PM

Not a problem Truus. I'm out now

Super W/t @edgar!!!
Loved this game!!!

Oh well, played the game and wrote the WT the fastest I could... now I can see a typo there (shelv for shelf). It might not be the only one so, I hope you can forgive.

Great game btw, and proud to have made it on my own and amazingly pretty fast!
These new avatars might be working for a change :)

o.k. I didn't know that @Peke, thanks!

YW @Madde & debra.

I wondered the same about that little Istanbul 2010 ad in the book, and I even googled it in case it was some clue for the game, lol.

Too funny @ madde, I deleted my "help" because I told you where to USE the scissors, not where to find them...LOL Thanks for the thanks...ha ha
TY @peke for info...

Never mind the typo's @Edgar. It's looking great as ever!
lol about the avatars, but we never needed those tools here. Who would have thought we would be needing coloured glasses for this one??

lol @Truus, you're right, but think of my useless tools (at least this time) as a lucky amulet instead :)

@Edgar, excellent walkthrough (but I expect nothing less from you :oD !

Sorry to hear about your useless tools @Edgar lol

       Anonymous  3/29/10, 1:37 PM

Edgar you always do very good wts a typo is certainly forgivable!

And Truus thanks again.

hey! Prid's Minoto game is up!

Glad I could have helped @apricotmomma.
(lol, almost wrote -mama again)

Going over to Prid's game now.

To Prid's game..

       Anonymous  3/29/10, 1:49 PM

Lol Truus that's oka :)

       Anonymous  3/29/10, 1:51 PM

Alright I missed something again which game is Prid's

That was a really, really cool game. It was really basic in its design, but it was a ton of fun to figure out without suspending belief, minus hotspot-hunting, and nothing inanely illogical. I hope Cengiz makes a few more.

@apricotmomma, it's the quiz Prid makes on the Minoto games.

@Edgar, hope you're not offended!
I shall think of them as a lucky amulet instead!!

Good game :-) I needed the Edgar helper though ...so nice to have when you can't do something

       Anonymous  3/29/10, 6:28 PM

Thank you Truus I had forgotten about those games.

lol, of course not @Truus... at all!
And if not in this game I hope the tools become more useful eventually... or not, as long as luck is with me all along! :)

I really enjoyed this game. It is totally not what I'm use to it's so differant

       Anonymous  3/30/10, 5:16 AM

This was a great game. I hope there are more of these, too. Logic was great and the glasses idea was brilliant!! Thanks!

Good game and @edgar: great walkthrough! I needed it once or twice just to get to know how the creator od the game thinks. After that I found the game was very logical.

I loved this game so much that I am playing it again!!! Ditto all the comments in favor...
It was a bit of a dark horse...
I didn't think much of it at first and then , WOW!
Please give us more games like this, from this author!!! Thanks @megi.. and @cegniz !!!!

So sorry! I misspelled the author's name...
It is Cengiz Turk !!! Thanks again!!!

very good game!

Thanks for the walkthrough, Edgar. I missed checking the coat rack. Duh! >.<

This was a very enjoyable, imaginative game, a 'real' escape game! Give me gameplay over graphics any day.

Very good game!
Thanks for the walkthrough Edgar =)

I just noticed we never used the box under the basement (the one covering the mousehole when you put on the glasses) and the changing stand(the thing people use in changing clothes) covering the sink. I wonder what those were for...
