Hmm..
I'll try this..

primera

Hm, I like when navigation arrows don't move.
Got a dumbbell lol.

Yay! A screwdriver :) Behind the book shelf. And don't forget to take the slip of paper from the yellow book.

Dumbbell, SD, note and credit card..

Key from painting.

A key from the painting (middle of it, a little to the right).

Card goes into device beside pc.

hello everyone

My card is full, but still not useable.

In the corner where cupboard is in the left side, click the upper corner and cut the cable behind the round panel.

This is the kind of game that makes me feel stuped lol. Not many items or things in the room, still i can't find out what to do :)

whats the dumbell for

       Anonymous  5/31/10, 3:04 PM

Got card, magnetic card reader, pliers (used), screwdriver (used), key (used), dumbbell, yellow paper... and stuck.

Thanks @Zazie! I didn't find that spot.

Combine cable with dumbbell and put it into the wall beside cupboard

And stuck..

Card full what next

@Cexy, where did you find a yellow paper? Or do you mean the one with 7C6?

where do you get the cable

Oh, wall with the cupboard near the corner. A hidden panel..

Thanks again @Zazie! I didnt realise we could remove some cable now.

Lol now i am stuck :)

@Corey, get cable from under the painting after removing the outher part of the wall socket with the screwdriver.
You can take cable when you cut the other cable up on the wall in the cabinet view.

My card is emptied now by the electromagnet.

       Anonymous  5/31/10, 3:09 PM

Hmmm, stuck on code

where do you get the cable

The code should be 4 digits and all I have is 7C6 that doesn't work.

you can combine the thumbel and the wire, place it in the device next to the cupboard, then i'm stuck, need a code for the computer en 7C6 doesn't work

Hahaha, I get a smiley when clicking tab-key.

I'm out!

How do you make work the pc ?

I used the first four numbers that are on the card (you have to zoom very much before you can read it)

Thanks @Ikke! That was a different way of showing us the code. What about 7C6??

       Anonymous  5/31/10, 3:17 PM

Ahhhh... tricky. Thanks, Ikke

@Zazie, after you use the card on the electromagnet, put it in the device and you can write the code on the pc.

Now that was sad.. :(
Any other options but zooming?

just joining in - and already really irritated by those moving hands!

where is thumbel and cable

@Corey, the dumbbell is on the floor, just for you to pick up.
The cable is from behind the wallsocket below the painting. You need the screwdriver to remove it and then the pliers from the drawer.

Before you can take that cable you also need to zoom up on the wall (upper right corner) in the view with the bookcase. Use the screwdrver to open a round panel and then the pliers to cut the blue one.

I never would have thought to enlarge the card to read the first four numbers. Maybe it's me, but today's games seem to make even less sense than usual!

@Peke, I agree... it was kind of dumb. And I'd like to know if 7C6 is a code meaning "you need to zoom a lot to see the code on the card, but only use the first four digits".

Spoiler for the code for those who can't zoom:

SPOILERONENINENINEZEROSPOILER

Goddamn I'm stupid.. Hexadecimals...

Hex 7C6 = dec 1990

lol @Peke, I wouldn't call you stuped. You are the one that found out :) I rarely use hexadecimals and would never have thought of it.

@Ellie
But I use them all the time and I didn't get it.. That's why I feel stupid.. :)

Oh you are all out, i was at the phone :)
But now i am out too, Ellie i could not zoom in, really.
Thx for the final code lol.

Night night everybody !!! And thx !

im out but how were you suppose to zoom on the card

@Corey, you weren't actually supposed to zoom on the card, you could "just" convert 7C6 from hexadecimals to normal decimal numbers (using an online converter).
Other than that, it is possible to zoom by using your right mouse button.

@Corey actually you weren't supposed to zoom on the card. 7C6 was the clue for the code.
But for zooming.. I have FireFox and I use Ctrl+'+' to zoom in and Ctrl+'-' to zoom out. (or Ctrl+mousewheel)
Don't know about IE or other browsers..

       Anonymous  5/31/10, 4:10 PM

congratulation! you escaped!

tks !!!

Again I miss a chance to be first to help by mere seconds... :)

I'm sorry @Peke :-*

I did it ...thanks to all the great hints!!! But please...Martinak Daniels....take away those horrible flashing hands!!!! By now, we all know that the right or left is at the edge of the screen! I mean, really!!!!!

(can. not. resist)
That sounded dirty..
I'll get me coat.. :D

Too funny @peke I read it again and ...ROTFLMAO
You sound like a Brit...Londoner??

@nokra
Nope. Just too much British TV shows and a weird sense of humor.. :)

I liked this game with the exception of the code:
1. WHAT is a hexidecimal
2. WHY would I convert them to normal decimals
3. HOW did Peke and Ellie ever think to do that?

Apparently your minds work in weird and wonderful ways that I can only dream of! lol

Thanks for the help.

@SunshineRR4, I'm honored that you think I somehow figured the hexadecimals out along with Peke, but that is unfortunately totally wrong. I just knew about them, and when Peke figured it out I understood how it worked.

(maybe I shouldn't add this but I had to use hexadecimals in another game earlier today so you'd think I would have gotten the idea now, but noooo...)

Just for fun:

missed too many good games !! playin one by one now

just a foot note I always have my windows calculator up and in advanced mode .. when I see a number like this i try all the functions LOL .. Im lazy

nice game!!

have cut the blue cable wit pliers... not in my inventory though.. hw to collect it n mix it wit dumbell?

Hi everyone...
I'm from Brazil... just begin to play this kind of games today... (escape room)
I'm lost!!!!
Please help me... I cuted the blue cable, but I cant do nothing with the other part...

There's an advance mode on my calculator!?!?!?! Good greif - look at all those buttons. LOL Since there are no new games, I am going to escape my calculator. I don't think you're lazy Valentine, I think you're a smare cookie. :)

... a smart cookie too.
Geez...can't even type :s

@Cirandas - click at the top right corner in the cupboard scene...
HINT: your mouse pointer chanegs frm arrow to hand-tool there..
cut the blue wire, n move to the place where u cut the wire initially (below the picture) and use the dumbell with the wire on wall. hope this helps..

my card doesnt wrk on the machine next to door.. n my card is already erased by electromagnet.. wat next??

@Siri, you need the magnetic card reader from the drawer. Put it to the right of the computer on the table, and use the erased card in that one. Then write the code in the computer (told above at times 00:28 and 00:33). After that it should work by the door.

Those moving hands were annoying.

WALKTHROUGH
Thanks @Zazie for helping me out several times, thanks @Ikke for the computer code, and thanks @Peke for figuring out the true way of solving the code!

Turn left.
No, the navigation hands won’t stop moving.
Zoom on the painting.
Find a key in the painting (in the middle of it, but a little to the right).
Zoom out.

Turn left (bookshelf view).
Take the dumbbell from the floor.
Take the credit card from the top of the bookshelf.
Take a note from the yellow book: 7C6.
Zoom to the right of the bookshelf.
Take a screwdriver from behind the bookshelf.
Zoom out.

Turn left (computer view).
Use the key to open the drawer and take a magnetic card reader and diagonal pliers.

Turn right (bookshelf).
Click to zoom on the top part of the right side of the wall.
Use the screwdriver on the round panel.
Use the pliers on the blue cable.
Zoom out.

Turn right (painting view).
Zoom on the wall socket.
Use the screwdriver to see the cables.
Use pliers to cut the blue cable.
Use pliers again on top part of the blue cable to get a lot of wire.
Zoom out.
Combine wire and dumbbell in the inventory.
You made an electromagnet.

Turn left (bookshelf view).
Zoom to the right of the bookshelf.
Put the electromagnet in the wall socket.
Put the credit card on the electromagnet to erase the data from it.
Zoom out.

Turn left (computer view).
Put the magnetic card reader on the desk to the right of the computer.
Put the credit card in the credit card reader.
Zoom on the computer.
Enter the password and click on “make card”.
Solution below.
(Use the 7C6 note – and maybe Google – to find the numbers).
Zoom out.
Take the card from the card reader.

Turn left.
Use the card to the left of the door.
Click on the door handle to escape.

Congratulations!

Solution to the code:
7C6 is an hexadecimal number.
Convert it to a decimal number and there is your code.
Online converter: http://www.easycalculation.com/hex-converter.php
Code: 1990

(You can also see the code if you zoom on the credit card – it is the first four numbers on the card)

Three ways to zoom:
- Press Ctrl and scroll with the wheel on your mouse
- Right click with your mouse and choose “Zoom in”
- Click on the magnifier in the lower right corner of the Internet Explorer page to change the % of zoom.

Not to mention your Windows calculator to do hexadecimal conversions (as well as octal, binary and decimal). Find it in:
Start Menu / All Programs / Accessories / Calculator

And another (fourth) way to make a zoom:
- Go to your browser menu and choose View / Zoom / Zoom In.
It's like this, as far as I can tell, in IE and FF browsers.

@Ellie, that is an excellent WT, with valuable information for some very handy things many of us might not know, and I really wanted to contribute with this little complement... hope you won't mind ;)

Good morning all! :)

@Edgar, you'd think that using the Windows calculator is an easier way of getting the code, but it didn't work when I tried it yesterday. Now I know... it is important to write 7C6, NOT C76!! I guess I'll just blame zoz (I can do that for all number/letter mistakes I make, right??).

Thanks for adding some information, the more the better!

lol @Ellie! I think it's OK to blame zoz for little mistakes like those. I don't think she minds that... after all, that's what friends are for! hehehe

Yes, I try to make friends with people just to have someone to blame. Hm... strangely enough they never stay around for long :(

I did everything except get the code on my own. I would never have gotten that!

Thanks @Ikke for the easy way to get the code
and Thanks @Peke for the code explanation

@Edgar I am staring at my windows calculator, but don't see a way to do hexadecimals. Maybe I am blind or maybe my version of windows is too old on this computer lol

@kitkatfox, there should be an option to choose "standard" or "advanced" in the scroll menues on top.
When using advanced, you see the Hex, Dec etc in the upper left corner. Mark Hex, enter 7C6 and mark Dec after that. You should see 1990.

Unless your computer actually IS too old (or if it is a Mac problem) lol.

@Ellie awesome! I never knew that was there! (I will still probably mess it up when playing games, but at least I have a tool now.

And I thought at first you meant the game needed an option for standard or advanced players. lol XD

Note about windows calculator:
Advanced option does not have a square root (√) button so you either have to calculate it using Log or switch back to standard if you need to use it.. :)
For those who want to try:
Square root of 9 = 10^(log(9)/2) = 3.. (Just googled it)
I think I'll still use 'standard' if I need square roots :D

@Peke yikes! I think I'll stick to the basic square roots button, too!

save me from the bouncing hands...pls.....

WHATEVERTHROUGH:

Go right/left twice.Take the credit card(awesome!)and the DUMBbell(Whoa that's heavy!)and click on the lower-right corner of the cupboard.Take the screwdriver, zoom out and click on the upper-right corner of the SCREEN(yes,SCREEN not the cupboard!)and use screwdriver to open it.Zoom out and go right.Click on the socket and use screwdriver to open it.Zoom out and click on the [ugly] painting.Find the key(you're on your own)and take it.Zoom out,go left/right twice and use key on drawer.Open it and take magnetic card writer and pliers.Close the drawer and put the credit card on the M.C.W.(I hate typing too many letters)then look at the computer.Note that it is full.Zoom out and take your card back.Go right and zoom in on the upper-right corner and use pliers to cut the blue wire.Zoom out,go right and use pliers to cut the blue wire in the socket.Take the blue wire and combine it with the DUMBbell.Zoom out,go left and zoom in to the lower-right corner of the cupboard and put electromagnet in the socket.Put the credit card on the electromagnet and it will be empty(NOOO!!!!!!).Right-click on the credit card and click zoom in.Note the first 4 numbers of the credit card.Zoom out,go left and put the card on the M.C.W. then click on the computer.Type the 4-digit code on the credit card(SPOILER1990SPILER).Zoom out, take the door-opening card and go left and use the card on the card scanner.Go outside the door!
