    ReplyDelete

    ReplyDelete
  19. hi @annaby and everyone, I think I've caught up on this game. I have 2 keys, a knife and the clue on the paper... am I missing something else?

    ReplyDelete
  20. that sounds about right Edgar, you lost your ball & chain like everybody else, trying to figure out safe code.

    ReplyDelete
  21. Hi @Edgar. You're caught up.
I thought the clue might be paper + water but can't get that to work.

    ReplyDelete
  22. I was trying to take the notches on the black key and sychronize with safe keyboard, couldn't make that work.

    ReplyDelete
  23. It's solved... water indeed:

    16116518
    +
    23120518
    =
    39237036

  24. Open the safe then with the black key.

    ReplyDelete
  25. Used the valve to get a view on the ceiling and dragged the new key from the safe to escape.

    ReplyDelete
  26. lol @Edgar - once again, trying to make simple things hard. I tried adding and multiplying the 2 sets of numbers separately. Thanks!

    ReplyDelete
  27. @Egdar , how did u get the numbers?
did u put the paper in the sink?
i did that but the numbers didnt appear.
    just key= paper + ?????

    ReplyDelete
  28. You're welcome :)
I guess now I'll have to figure out how things were done here, like losing the ball and chain (maybe with one of the keys to set us free from it?) and other not-so-clear things to me.

    ReplyDelete
  29. @Zania - you ran the paper under the water and then dragged it to the magnifier icon at lower left?

    ReplyDelete
  30. I have 'game over'
    Did I drown or escape?

    ReplyDelete
  31. good thinking @Edgar - I hadn't realized I was wearing the ball and chain!

    ReplyDelete
  32. i tried putting the paper in the sink. doing so i heard water running (i guess that means the paper is wet) then dragged it onto the magnifier!

    did i miss sth?

    ReplyDelete
  33. @small-tool - good question. I used the key on the trap door in the ceiling and got game clear

    ReplyDelete
  34. @Zania - don't know why it's not working for you

    ReplyDelete
  35. annaby,
Then I think I did something wrong and didn't escape. But I did use the key on the trap door too.

    ReplyDelete
  36. ok, i do see the 161 16 518. i just dont get how Edgar found the other numbers??????

    ReplyDelete
  37. Zania,
paper in numbers (a=1, b=2 etc.)

    ReplyDelete
  38. and the same for water of course.

    ReplyDelete
  39. ok. i get that.thanks small-tool
    but
    key = paper + ?????
    11525 = 16116518+ ?????

    how is that possible.
could some one explain that please!

    ReplyDelete
  40. oh i have to change water into numbers and then add them. ok.
    that would work.....

    ReplyDelete
  41. Don't thank me, thank Edgar,
But I don't think key is in numbers.
It's paper + water is the code so you get the key.

    ReplyDelete
  42. ok. especiall thanks @Egdar and @small-tool

    ReplyDelete
  43. There are GAME OVER (with ball and chain in your leg, you cant swim and die) and GAME CLEAR (you take out ball and chain with small key)

  44. Water - Walkthrough

    • You start the game with a chain and ball in inventory; “an iron ball bigger than a bowling ball”… attached to your ankle.
    • Move two times to the right, to the sink view.
    • Zoom in on the lower part of the sink and open the doors to see the pipe and to get a “handle or something”… it looks like a valve, and you get this item (and all of the items in the game) by dragging it to the inventory area; take also the knife and close the doors back.
    • Open the little fridge on the right and get the little black key.
    • Take also the large piece of paper with “anything in particular written.”
    • Zoom out by clicking up.
    • Click on the sink tap to make the water run and drag the paper to the “running water” to make some a code visible on the paper (read it by dragging the paper to the magnifier on the bottom left part of the game screen):
    KEY = PAPER + ?????, where paper equals 16 1 16 5 18 alphabetically.
    • Go left once.
    • Use (drag) the valve in inventory to ANY of the little squares on the wall and click on it to make the red beach ball go up for you to grab it.
    • Open the BALL in about item (drag it to the magnifier) and use the KNIFE on it to get the thin gray key.
    • Now open the BALL & CHAIN in About Item and use this last KEY to remove it from your ankle (you’ll still see the ball in the view until you close it, but notice it’s gone now from inventory).
    • Go to the left two times.
    • Zoom in on the bottom right safe, solve the code from the paper clue and enter it in the safe panel; HINT: think of the game’s name.
Solution at the end of the Walkthrough
    • Once the code is entered, press the “E” key and drag the BLACK KEY to the right handle to open the safe; get another handle/valve and another “ordinary key”; zoom back up.
    • Turn around (twice to the left or right) and use the new VALVE on the remaining square in the wall; click on it to make the room filled with water and to have a view in the ceiling, with a trap door on it.
    • Use (drag) the latest KEY to the trap door and escape with a GAME CLEAR… CONGRATS! :-)

    NOTES:
・You don’t actually need to see the code in the paper to make it work on the safe, but it’s a bit hard to brute force if you don’t, LOL.
・I’ve found only 2 way of dying in this game so far:
    - Forget to take the final key from the safe… you won’t be able to go back for it after the room is flooded.
    - Forget to take the ball and chain from your ankle… even if you have the key for the trap door, you won’t be able to escape and you’ll dye drowned.

    Solution for the safe code
The paper tells us the key for the safe is the result of the sum of PAPER and another word.
We know the numbers for PAPER, coming for an alphabetical substitution (16116518)
The most logical word to use in the code is WATER, and its numerical substitution is 23 1 20 5 18
    Do the math now:
     16116518
    + 23120518
    ━━━━━━
     39237036

  45. Great walkthrough Edgar :) I must start writing WT's again...I have noticed many games don't have one and since every game deserves one, time to sharpen my pencil again...lol!!! Don't you just hate it when overthinking/analyzing simple logic takes up time...lol!!!! Paper + water...pfttt!!!!! oh well...duh!!! hahaha!!!

Migraines prevent me from posting and writing WT's as much as I would like to but I will make up for that :) Always good to see you Edgar and thank you also to everyone for POP!!!!

    ReplyDelete
  46. You're welcome @irish!! :D
So good to see you back in action as well!
I'm writing for crime scene right now... as you did, I also notice quite a number of games lacking of a WT, and doing something about it as well here :-)
Be around for a live game together, will you? Just for the old times sake ;-)

  47. I would love to be here for a live game with you and the rest of the gang :) Sometimes I get lucky but most of the time I am a day late and a dollar short...lol!!! I am on PST but I will definitely try to be here for the fun *live* chaos...the comments are often more entertaining than the actual game...haha!!! especially Zoz' Minoto walkthroughs...those belong in the Walkthrough Hall of Fame :D

  48. Right! Every single one of them is Ellie's Museum of Walkthroughs excellent additions :)

  49. Nice game :o) even though I drowned. I thought I was doing well as I still had my ball and chain and others had lost theirs LOL.
Thank you for the walk through, @Edgar - now I shall go back and try to make it out alive!
