it just takes a little while to load
Not having a lot of luck. Found a knife I can't reach, compass clue is working like I think it should and don't know what the smudges are about.
@ barry, keep clicking the top of the curtains until the knife falls down
Used the knife to cut the curtains, cleaned the smudges
and out - thanks for the help. I tried nudging it with screwdriver.
@ Barry, i'm stuck with the code...I only have 4 coloured dots...do we need 6??
I guess the coloured dots stands voor north, east, south en west? But how?

i have no sense of direction, but i did try to the sun to no avail, so i did process of elimination! lol

hm, stuck too... I don't like it that the colored dots don't really stand for the directions. For example when I see the compass, I see only one dot (the blue one). That one should be north. So the wall in front of you should be east, but there is no dot on it?? Anyway, I think this is thought too complicated...
Oh, I was wrong, the dot in north direction is pink... Anyway, I don't get it. Tried pink-blue-cyan-pink-green-blue, but that didn't work
i guess when you are in the compass room and click one room to the left that is NORTH which is where the light blue dot is located.
The dots are placed wrong. They should be in every view on the backwall.
But you get it if you pretend that they are on the back wall of a view.

Oh, okay larue. I would have never guessed that if a compass indicates directly to a colored dot that this dot is not the north dot... ;-( so I think it was

Actually it's even stranger than I thought.
In the room with the safe the pink dot is on the left wall. So if you go left, you should see the pink dot on the backwall there. But no, you see the cyan dot on the right wall there (so that cyan dot had to be on the backwall of the room with the safe. And the same goes for green and blue.
Anyway, like I said, it's correct and easy to find if you pretend the dots are on the backwall in every view.
Haha@smalltool, I'm glad that I'm not the only one who has problems with the dots. I thought once that it is maybe not a square but a octagonal room (then it would make a bit of sense that the dots 'jump' from one side to another and that there are no dots on the wall in front of you), but as I said earlier, this is just thought too complicated. Your explanation is much much better!!
I just assumed the four rooms equalled nesw and was out easily. At last my tendency to underthink (the position of the dots) paid off, lol.
