Legacy - Beneath the Surface is a new audio adventure game created by DESQ for BBC Radio 7 from BBC Scotland. A unique multi-platform drama, Legacy, produced by BBC Radio Scotland's Drama department will transmit in two-parts from Sunday, August 22 on BBC Radio 7.

Set above and below the streets of London, Legacy combines a two-part radio drama and an online adventure game to tell the story of Jules and Harry, two 20-something siblings coming to terms with their family’s shocking past.

Shortly after the death of their grandmother Rose, twins Harry and Jules are clearing out the contents of her attic prior to the arrival of the executor of her will. Stumbling around in the gloom they come across a cryptic message hidden on an old gramophone record. Speaking to them from beyond the grave, Rose tells her grandchildren that theirs is an important legacy and that only by following the clues she’s left for them will they discover the secrets hinted at in the recording.

Thoroughly familiar with Rose’s eccentricities – their own childhood was littered with the strange treasure hunts she used to set for them – the twins resolve to head off one last time and uncover their mysterious inheritance. Good luck and have fun!

Seems pretty cool but, you need to be able to sit here for a long time.

have finished chapter one. The key information in the description of this game is "in the gloom". I spent the first 10 mins searching for a non-existant light switch. Navigation is by arrows until you come across something interesting to be investigated.

nice game..but in chapter 2 i´m lost because of my terrible english..can´t understand all :/
think i miss something from the birthday-numbers or something for the code..couldn´t understand all..

I really enjoy this game actually :) It is fairly easy, except I seem to be stuck at a code door in Chap 5..It's like an escape the room game, where you play in the dark :D

I cant get the code for the third vault 3 letter code . Tried birthdays and nothing . Any help please

I'm in chapter 2 and can't find the code for de door... I tried with the dates from the letter but it doesn't work (or i'm doing it wrong)... the guy says that it's a 3 digit combination

Okay, I'm on chapter 3. I have used the Crowbar to shut off the security alarm, and to open the door (obviously, since you need to do that to get to the security alarm). I found the tape, and I put gas in the broken generator, but I can't find a cog. I cannot leave these 2 rooms, and I cannot find anything other than the dictaphone, broken generator, broken alarm, the vent I can't get to, the grate with something ticking behind it (which I can't open with the crowbar? REALLY?!), the lift I can't open without power...and I think that's it.

cant get the code for ch4 the one that is related to ww2 i guess :S

anybody around here? I came back and I am stuck at the passcode for chapter 5 (after you get the knife to use on the tool bag which from you get a wrench to use on the valve...)

I produced this game for the BBC. Great to hear all the feedback on it both good and bad. As you can no doubt imagine this type of project represents something of a departure for the BBC both in terms of gaming and also producing a multi-platform narrative. All the comments here help us assess what worked and what didn't go so well.
