@Annaby, did that but it did nothing. Now stuck with sharpening stone, cable (which I can't get attached to TV) and wrench. But shoot, my towel just disappeared......
in brick wall view, look up and get square something
cursor disappears when you click on cable, reappears if you drag another item on to screen

Re disappearing cursor. If you imagine you can see your cursor and aim to pick up something from your inventory (the name of the item will come up), click on it, try to use it in the scene and then it'll return to your inventory and your cursor will reappear.
@Mak -- towel is behind TV, move the locker to get the (I think) wrench, cable was on the desk. Can't remember where the sharpening stone and towel were. Have to re-start anyway (towel disappeared). Will re-find and re-post.

Okay towel combined with cable, wrench/spanner combined with square metal, and metal bit from bed in thing next to pipe, and sharpening stone. Hmm..
Every time I zoom in the panel left from the window, the cursor disappears. I'm afraid to try things up there!
Can look at new metal bit in inventory but cant sharpen... what else??

nvm...combine in inventory, don't zoom, then combine with towel/cable for knife
I just tried in close up view and in inventory to combine the two and suddenly I had a blade

Sharpen and combine off inventory panel. Not on middle of screen. Weird, but, yeah.. ;_)

The metal piece you get when you put the thing from under the bed and the red valve on the thing next to the pipe and then click the red valve again.

Escape Only From Your Cell... And Good Luck Evading The Guards Outside - Through
● Get the metal fitting from under the bed (pillow side).
● Go right.
● Zoom on the back of the TV and get the towel.
● Zoom in the radio on the table, click on it to turn it around and again to remove the back cover; take the cable.
● Combine the CABLE and the TOWEL to have an improvised handle.
● Go right.
● Zoom on the left cabinet and click on it to move it aside to find a spanner.
● Zoom in the box right from the door and get the sharpening stone.
● Go right.
● At this view of an empty wall, find a navigational bar on top of the screen and take a square metal from the ceiling.
● Combine the SPANNER with the SQUARE METAL.
● Go back down and right again.
● Zoom on the vent on the top left and use the SPANNER+METAL combo to remove the cover and find a red wheel.
● Go right.
● Zoom in on the round pipe coming out of the wall and put the FITTING on it, then add the WHEEL; click on the wheel to open the pipe cover and get a metal piece from inside.
● Go left.
● In inventory, use the SHARPENING STONE on the METAL PIECE and guess what you get? Yep, a sharpened metal piece.
● Combine now the IMPROVISED HANDLE on the SHARPENED METAL PIECE and you get… lol, an improvised sharpened metal knife.
● Zoom on the window, use the KNIFE on the bars and click on the green arrow to escape.
