tried braille real and "mirrored" but no luck

hi bigtank and swissmiss
stuck also on 2nd

OK on page 3 now

use a mirror

have to go now - I think I was alone anyway
shall check later

I'm here and also stuck on #3..

im still stuck on 2 :(

me too still stuck on 2

omg finaly got it

clue please bigtank

For 2: Use a mirror then use braille alphabet. :)

stuck on 3. :(

Obviously #3 has something to do with elements, but I'm not sure in what relation yet..

I think 3 is about playing cards nicknames, sailboat for 4, snowman for 8, crab for 3 ...

anyone still here?

trucmuche, you're a genius. That did it. Onto 4. ^^

(If you still don't get it, consider what trucmuche said, and.. google is your best friend.)

ty onto 4

Kay, for #4, just read and see what stands out to you. Onto 5..

5's easy. Lewis Carol's hint is all you need. Hope you still have that mirror handy.

Er, should I say, Carol's hint and google.*

gonna come bk to this l8r have to dash now

Hm.. I know what 6 is referring to.. apparently I'm just bad at math..

Shew. that was a lot of googling and math. Pardon me while I go smack my sleeping husband for being British..

No idea what to google on 5. Those letters from the hint?

7's easy, too. ..poor hatters.
I feel I am the only one here, by the way? >>

Mmm, smalltool..

BIG HINT

Write them out as one long letter jumble.

Just came back, not sure what #6 is about

having trouble finding the first four letter word. any help?

Hurry up Mojito or you'll be ...., just like the white rabbit

oh... that took a while for me :-)

Google the word, trucmuche. Then time to take some old-time math lessons.

Finally on 9.

Aw sheesh.. this is going to be fun. -counts-

Thx Emily, maths were not the problem, got better once I found about the price tag ;)

doh.... need help with the elemt question...

You won't need to know elements until you work out the equation.. Read our posts above.

9 pretty much has me stumped. I thought I knew what to do, but perhaps I'm mistaken..

I'm still trying to find everybody on #8

Help on 8?

They're all relatively famous folks. You'll have 7 names/letters..

2 of them are still eluding me though, will give it another try later

I think I'm with ya, trucmuche. This one's giving me a headache. ..just doesn't make sense.

Why can't I find one name of these stupid people on 8?!

Sarah, you've a dedicatee, soldier/hunter, escapist, ruler, artist, inventor, and ..mystic.

It's the artist I'm having a problem with ...
Do we need their real or usual names ?

Surnames for all but the girl.

       Anonymous  10/23/10, 6:12 AM

Take her first name.

Oo Well.. that's annoying.. No, I will not download games at...

       Anonymous  10/23/10, 6:14 AM

The top right is the most famous for that profession.
Bottom right a womanising madman.
Bottom left, look at what he's holding.

#9's still got me..

Righty.. going to wait for someone else to figure this out.. I thought it was a matter of plugging in certain.. variables.. but my outcome doesn't make sense at all.

Well, still don't know the name of the artist, but guessed the letter I was missing ;)

For those stuck on the artist, think Moulin Rouge. XD

Do post if you manage to figure 9 out. LOL.

Ahhh, that was him, I should have known ...
Looking at #9

No prob for #9
x y z (numbers) mean x-th stanza, y-th line, z-th letter

That's what I thought, and tried.. multiple ways, but I'm getting a nonsense result. Supposed to be an actual word?

This comment has been removed by the author.

Emily, I'm using this anagram solver:
http://anagram-solver.utsire.com/
hope that helps

-headdesk- Didn't even think of it as being an anagram. Much thanks.

Hehe. This looks fun. Where'd I put my dry-erase markers..

lol, at the interlude after level 10

My thoughts, too. :P

This is my favourite riddle! If anyone is stuck, I will try to help :)

Hm.. my compass is giving me bad directions..

I seem to get caught up on the easiest levels...

what level Emily?

11, the compass. I know what to do, and checked in an art program, but my outcome doesn't make sense, even unscrambled..

Whoops, have to go for a while. Shall come back to tackle 11 asap.

So, i walked away and came back... still on #8 and I need 3 more... I still need the Soldier, Madman and Ruler. Help?

what letters did you find?

Emily, there are only 2 directions where I could see an ambiguity on #11. That's not too hard to try all the possibilities.

we have Custer, Rasputin and the ruler (?) I think you refer to is Stalin

Got all the names, but now stuck on the actual word... any extra hints?

@Sarah...do yo have the name of the little girl?

*you

I thought it was the title character of the book and game... but it doesn't seem to be making sense... no words are coming out...

POP.. GOT IT... FINALLY!

Sarah, you're looking for a name actually. You're sure you have all the correct names ?
for the artist you don't need the first letter of his surname, but the first letter of the last part of his surname ...

Okay, completely lost on 5. Hints I've tried to understand:
"Lewis Caroll's hint and google" (google what?)
"...write letters like one big letter jumble" (am I anagramming?)
And what with the chessboard?
I'm the big lohooser but, one more little hint please?

mgkanda, yes try anagramming all the letters at once, then try to relate that with chess

@mgkanda, look at the Lewis hint....backwards! Read from bottom to top and find a famous author, now look for the answer :)

ahh...Thank you @jonthewatch and @trucmuche!!!

solved 12 easily, didn't even look at numbers ...
but stuck on 13

Wow!!! That was hard for me but, I did it. At this rate I don't think I can catch up but, I'm grateful for all the comments.

ahhh, ok I know what #13 is about now !

I made a video for 13 but I cannot post it right now. I can offer hints though.....what have you got so far?

and now the math :s

jonthewatch, I have the picture, having fun with it, don't want hints right now thanks

on 14 now

loving this game. finding the answers is fun and so rewarding.

I agree, as I said, this is my favourite riddle!!

woohoo! loving this game more and more as I get some on my own! Way behind the smart people but, having a lot of fun! :D

pheeewwww, I've tried so many stupid things on 14 that I've felt more lucky than clever once I had solved it

can someone please give one more little hint on 4, I must be overthinking it cause I just cant find it

Hint on 11?

       Anonymous  10/23/10, 10:16 AM

Still stuck on #4. Can anyone give me another hint?

I am still stuck there too Abba, i have googled everything and read it a hundred times, still dont know what i am missing

       Anonymous  10/23/10, 10:37 AM

Look at the page. What stands out? Have you read Lewis's hint?

       Anonymous  10/23/10, 10:40 AM

Yep I've tried all of the obvious six letter words (humpty, dumpty, etc) and googled stuff about humpty dumpty too but I can't figure it out.

On #4, you just need to take capital letters and make a word

finally got it, let me know if you still need a hint

       Anonymous  10/23/10, 10:42 AM

Ah..got it. Thanks trucmuche!

I'll leave level 18 for tomorrow, bye everyone

which level is 11?

       Anonymous  10/23/10, 10:51 AM

11 is the Mad Tea Party

hi George...I still can't log in to the Tube lol!

level 4....Look For Letters That Stand Out, Then ANAGRAM

ok.. stuck on #5. Got the name of the author .. now what?

Pop .. got it onto 6!

       Anonymous  10/23/10, 11:16 AM

Hey jon, really? I logged in...it works for me.

hee hee George, will try again later...Fe and I are out to diner now....can you help here with the riddle for a couple of hours?

       Anonymous  10/23/10, 11:19 AM

Umm..I'll try...if I remember anything...lol

Hey all. I'm still here and am super stuck on 10. Seems easy enough. Got letters but, they don't seem to make anything. At least not anything that I know.

Anyone stuck on earlier levels I will try and help if you get me to 11 lol.

I'm even pretty sure I know what I'm looking for. Anyone else still here?

I'm still here and still stuck on 11

       Anonymous  10/23/10, 11:32 AM

I'm sorry...was away for diner...you need to find 12 letters

Give me a nudge on 10?

       Anonymous  10/23/10, 11:34 AM

level 11: There is something on the tablecloth...

sorry, didn't refresh. have 12 letters. just can't make anything that I know out of them. googling the apparent subject matter and still nada. anagram server not giving me proper nouns so if I need one I'm stuck.

Just follow the maze and write down the letters... it spells out a place (no space)

       Anonymous  10/23/10, 11:35 AM

what are your letters, mgkanda?

I know 11 has to do with the compass, but I can't seem to figure out what to do with it.

aopuhtronctm

oh sh**, it is a flower?

No its a place in London. use this: http://anagram-solver.utsire.com

       Anonymous  10/23/10, 11:39 AM

No flower..use your letters here http://anagram-solver.utsire.com/

Im still stuck on 8 i have 3 of the names but dont know the rest

       Anonymous  10/23/10, 11:40 AM

@Sarah...use a ruler

where am I going wrong? For 8 I have C,S,H,L,R,A,E but I can't make a word - help please!

@Alison... its a first name.

SHUT! UP! So you two are telling me that wordsmith is actually kind of a crappy anagram server? Even in the advanced anagramming I couldn't get an actual name or a place. THANK YOU!!!!

a ruler? sigh... might be time to walk away for a bit. lol

@Alison What name for photography? Not Lewis but...

thanks @Sarah

ok @mgkanda, now come help me with 11...

Well on 11 and needless to say my bookmark for anagrams has now changed. I can't believe how much time I spent on that lol.

thanks @mgkanda, easy really - oh well!

@Sarah GOT IT!!! Took a straight edge (used printer paper) and lined up with compass on tablecloth starting at N and got 7 letters. Went back to my awesome new anagram server and it was the very first answer.

@Alison LOL! I started on the right track with that one and then got way off when I couldn't figure out who half of them were. Took me forever.

@Sarah waiting for you. 12 is intimidating me so far.

YOU. ARE. AWESOME!

       Anonymous  10/23/10, 11:58 AM

Help with #12. I'm assuming it has something to do with 1 to 1 or 50/50 but I'm not sure what I'm supposed to do with it.

wait... my letters aren't working... i tried it a bunch of times... somethings off... hmmmm

       Anonymous  10/23/10, 12:00 PM

In one of their previous posts trucmuche said they solved 12 without even using the numbers so I guess it means they don't have anything to do with it.

yay abba's on 12 too! What are your letters Sarah?

atshcme

       Anonymous  10/23/10, 12:02 PM

Still stuck on 4...

       Anonymous  10/23/10, 12:04 PM

@rittenden for #4 use the capital letters and use an anagram solver to get the answer.

nevermind... got it... ugh! ok... on to 12

hmm...Lewis mentions even odds. So completely lost lol.

       Anonymous  10/23/10, 12:04 PM

On level 12 Lewis tells you what to do "look for even odds"...

ooh...so I'm on the right track then george?

       Anonymous  10/23/10, 12:10 PM

So then are we looking for a line with an even number of odds or a line with an equal number of odds and evens?

Or odd numbers in even positions?

       Anonymous  10/23/10, 12:13 PM

I don't know what you're trying, mgkanda..lol
Not the whole lines...each digit

       Anonymous  10/23/10, 12:14 PM

I just don't get then how trucmuche solved 12 without even looking at the numbers

       Anonymous  10/23/10, 12:14 PM

some are odd, some are even...each line has 8 digits

@george lol...that makes two of us :s

       Anonymous  10/23/10, 12:18 PM

if you're on the right track each line should give you a letter

hi and good evening :) i totally stuck with #6, google told me the meaning of tanner, but i stuck on the price tag... heeeeelp please

LOL! Well then I'm officially WAY OFF!!

       Anonymous  10/23/10, 12:22 PM

@Sabine if you look up the wiki sites for the mad hatter and a tanner it will tell you what the price tag on his hat is and how to convert it to tanners respectively

@sabine That one was hard for me too. The paper says 10 shillings/sixpence. Use your google powers to find how many sixpence that is. Let me know if you still need help.

       Anonymous  10/23/10, 12:24 PM

Wow. I'm way off too mgkanda I wasn't even thinking in terms of letters.

Any help on level 9 i think i have all the letters but cant find the word

@keldos google title on left page and use each set of #s for
paragraph/line/letter

any luck abba or Sarah?

oh noooooooooooo... ty mgkanda and abba.. i took 10 shilling and six pence but... and it's a great BUT... i added six sixpence to the sum of shilling-sixpence conversion instead of one... i'm sooooo dumb

       Anonymous  10/23/10, 12:32 PM

Nope. I'm completely stumped. I have no clue how to get a letter out of those.

Well, went comment cruising here on EG24 and it looks like ours and the one from trucmuche are it so no chance of an aha moment from that.
An extra little nudge, george?

Yeah ive done that but cant seem to get a word from the letters

@sabine Congrats! Now hurry up and save us from 12 would you?

       Anonymous  10/23/10, 12:35 PM

lol @Sabine. I did that for a second at first too. Even though the conversion is in the name of the coin I still screwed it up. =)

       Anonymous  10/23/10, 12:36 PM

@keldos what letters do you have?

nevermind got it 1 of my letters was wrong

@keldos what are your letters and I'll tell you which you need to fix. I got the answer from an anagram server.

Oh good! Here comes keldos and sabine soon too. So we'll have five of us stuck on 12 lol.

       Anonymous  10/23/10, 12:40 PM

What about adding up the sum of the odds and evens then subtracting one from the other and then that number corresponds to a letter in the alphabet? Does that seem like too much work for one riddle?

i'll try it @mgkanda... lol... you all are toooooo fast for me

@abba ROFL!!! Let me know when you've got that all figured out! For this game? No, doesn't seem like too much but, for me? Yes! LOL, my brain is turning to mush!
I tried looking for all occasions where evens were in odd places and taking that # letter from CROQUET MATCH to now avail so far.

       Anonymous  10/23/10, 12:45 PM

way too much work...
You only have 2 choices: even or odd...there is a way in the computer-verse to express that

binary language?

I think I got it!!!!

Oh no...what?

stuck on #8, driving me mad - I've got all the names and have used every reiteration I can think of -

First of all, how many letters in total - one of the photo has a name that is hyphenated,

Second, What is the first letter of the correct answer, and is it a proper noun or just a thing - throw me a fricken bone here....;)

ok.. binary language consists of 0 and 1... even=0, odd=1... each line will be a series of 0's or 1's based on even and odds... then use http://www.roubaixinteractive.com/PlayGround/Binary_Conversion/Binary_To_Text.asp

to translate each line to give you a letter :-)

       Anonymous  10/23/10, 12:50 PM

level 8: you need 7 letters

       Anonymous  10/23/10, 12:50 PM

yeah @Sarah!!

@So Cal 7 letters. Use first letter of first name of girl on left and first letters of last names on all others. For our friend from Moulin Rouge use the L. Then anagram and use hint from Lewis.

WOOT! WTG Sarah!!!! Working it out now!

       Anonymous  10/23/10, 12:55 PM

Finally. Thank you Sarah and george. You rock!

Got it! :-) 13 here I come!

No idea what I have to do on 9?

So Cal Peeper,
level 8 is a name.

       Anonymous  10/23/10, 12:59 PM

Well I finally get 12 with A LOT of help and now I'm immediately stuck again on 13.

have I got the right letters for number 11 - A,C,S,E,M,D,R ? Can't make a word from that.

Nvm I have 9, had to look up the whole poem.

No... Alison go back and read my post with the binary code link

ACK! Thanks small-tool! that was so obvious, i feel like a dope now.

       Anonymous  10/23/10, 1:02 PM

@Alison the R is incorrect.
