Creo's Riddle
Creo's Riddle is another brain teaser challenging riddle game created by Creo from RiddleX. Welcome to Creo's Riddle. This is a URL replacement puzzle of 30 levels. All solutions are a single word, name or a number. No special software is required for this riddle, and there is nothing to download. If you are an experienced riddler you will know how it works.
If you are new to online riddles then enter your answer by changing the URL of the web page you are currently viewing. For example, if the web page you are on is start.htm and you think the answer is France then change the URL from start.htm to france.htm (no capital letters, no spaces and no punctuation marks).
There may be clues in the source code (to view the source right mouse click on the background and select "view source"), and in the name of the level picture, and the title of the page. Solutions are a mix of lateral thinking, general knowledge, anagrams and conversions of symbols. Google, Wiki, Purple Hell and an anagram solver are excellent resources.
You progress through levels, with the goal of completing all 30 levels of this riddle. Good luck and have fun!

sometimes it's important to know all your properties
what do they mean by "bolt the images together"? It is the parthanon, but that is the message I get....
maybe they spelled it wrong, lol

why do we get an egg when we put "parthAnon" (my cap) when the correct spelling is "parthEnon"?

ok, here's a link to the whole picture, but I still don't know what the author wants. And I'm not sure I want to play a Riddle game if the spelling is going to be hit or miss!

please could somebody in very simple words explain what we are supposed to do for level 3 without being cryptic

copy the image location in another tab...copy and paste the image into paint...then change the last letter of the image into b, it will give you another image, copy and paste that into paint, too...
to solve level three, find the name of the image...note there is a letter parthanonA, try b, c and d. You can guess what is in the center of the picture easy enough......enter that word as the answer

Alison, right click on the image or chect the properties of the image....it has a name, thats the bit that needs changing...

ok level 6 now will try to help a bit more
rightclick on the picture, choose "copy image location" from the context menu, open a new tab rightclick in the address bar and choose "paste"...that will give you only the pic. If you change the pic name in the address bar into parthanonb.jpg you'll find the next one

@Alison, I found this on the web posted by Creosote and it finally made sense to me. But it still really pisses me off, this game!
"Look at the source, find the other 3 images. The one you have is parthanona.jpg, so maybe try errrrr parthanonb.jpg .... replace "archaeopteryx.htm" with "parthanonb.jpg" in the url and so on, and you'll get 3 more images, bolt then together and the odd circle thing in the corner will make sense and give you the answer."
OMG - managed level 4 on my ownsome.....
I used to think I was relatively smart. But for these "riddles" the phrase "dumb as a fence post" comes to mind.. sigh

not going to fold paper, so trying the 'brute force' method, there are only 25 or so five letter countries - but - no luck
@s-t: it seems the author is somewhat infatuated with one specific african cuntry ;)

for 23....check the source....(I printed the image then folded the lines as instructed)

All the numbers are cubes......find the cube of 27 then convert it to a letter..

Yep jon, just found the right kind of math and then first went wrong because I started on 0 for A.

there is no hint in the source for 14, everything you need is in the picture and the title of the riddle itself.

I think 16 is about words that are made of two words but don't know the english word for that?

As far as I know that's called a compound word, but that doesn't work.
Finally found the word, never heard of it.

It's a cube in 4 dimensions.
One of the names for that is hypercube, but that's not the name, you need the other one.

Having trouble with 18. I see that most of them use their middle names for their first names or use their nickname but I'm not sure if that factors into that or what to do with the colors and numbers.

Those are not the right numbers. It's about how manny years couples are married.
@Pascale your numbers aren't right...find a wiki page to help and use the US table.....
I think I need another hint. Can't find an anagram or acronym for those letters.

For 23, I don't get the hint how to fold with the info from the source?
@S-T another way to solve this level is to look at what letters are beside a blue line, (eg A and B), then you will have 10 letters, find a country with 5 letters in that lot (as pointed out earlier, technically there are 2 countries....North and South)
