I'm in ! Hi all!

the red door is shut & TV needs an antenna. Maybe numbers in bookshelf shape?
Dont click the blue poster!!

Trying to drag coat tree into next room. It's heavyyy!

found only a knife.. stuck!

pop, found a cutter on the left sofa leg sceen (zoomed in)

There is a box cutter near the left foot of the sofa (it is far on the right of the screen).
I can't find anything to cut, though (it seems to be an horrible pixel hunt).

Well.. nothing but a cutter... can't find any other hotspots.

we have a box cutter and are we in..... a box?

lol @ff I was thinking the same!

it sure looks like it nini...

Red Key!!!!

Don't like those pixelhunts where they also hide items at the edge of the screen.

Where??????????

In room with shelf - lower left corner of wall.

Use box cutter. Forgot to mention that.

OMG thx!

Hammer now..

Thanks kimbly.
Use the knife to get it.

Broke TV and found a key!

Use hammer on tv in first room.

Where to use pin and keycard now?

Hi sir red are things.

What's the color order, my colors don't work?

Buhh i even cannot find the hammer, where please ?

Zazie hammer on shelf in red room

I've waited for the colors 4 times and still can't get them.
@Zazie - hammer is in 2nd room on shelves (red key)

Spoiler:

color code:

yellow
purple
green
red

my tv code was 1913 but that doesn't work

THX Nini !!!!

Where to use the code from the tv?

And thx annaby, did not refresh quickly enough !

s-t no idea.. my code won't work on drawer

Thanks @Nini xD!

hey guys! hope you enjoying this one. let me know if you need any help...

Stuck with the rest of you :(

Yep we need help Miller,
Where to use the pin or how to get the code?

We need Miller!!!! Our code from TV doesn't work on drawer! And I dunno what to do w/ pin or keycard.

need a SD

Miller and if I got the anagram correctly (Hi sir red are things) what does it mean?!

@s-m: sorry, but there is something simliar like the boxcutter thing. look for something in grey room

@Nini xD: you are right that it is a five word sentence, but not yours. althrough "red" does appear in this sentence

what was code on TV for. It doesn't open the top dresser drawer and I can't find a code that does. Anyone?

This comment has been removed by the author.

papercode works on safe behind pic. now i am stuck with pushpin, keycard and hammer.

Hm.. cant find where to use pin!

@zazie, hammer was fo tv...

Thx ff i used hammer already on TV, and now what ??

okay, I thought that this part was going to be hard. in window view look on upper right corner and drag something on the screen

now nothing i guess, sorry, this is not fun any more, going to find an other game, see you all later...

Thank you Miller; got a yellow key now !!!

Ah hahaha! Miller, that was tough! A balloon :)

lol! Ty!

Thanks Miller.

GOt SD!

SD woohoo! must slide keycard to enter your TV code.

yes, that was impossible without a hint since hotspots aren't indicated

Hm.. Stuck again!

kimbly,
Slide keycard? How?

small tool ,at code box in yellow room

yellow room? Where do I use the yellow key?

Nvm. I thought it was a door we already used.

Miller does the equation have to do w/ drawer code?

@Nini xD: yep

wow am I stuck! don't know what letters are and don't understand code from using screwdriver. Still can't open dresser drawer either. Feeling pretty deflated here.

So now that we are with a math equation, I'm waiting for a spoiler because I hate them (says the English major).

Hm... maybe y circle is 7 and ? 4... but have no idea for the other symbols

i cant find hotspot for yellow key!!

351 - think right upper corner of the screen. looks like a string.

@351 - upper right corner of screen, not back wall

@3501: there's a string on the upper right corner in window view. drag (!) it to the screen

did anyone figure out the letter code for the wall with North at the top??

evans, no...

Where do you guys see 351, what room.
By the way I think the first number for the equation is 1913 from the tv and yellow or orange could be 7 from the balls.

Miller - what does the orange circle in the equation represent??

maybe the middle word is "is"

small tool: we are addressing the gamer called threefiftyone ;)

s-t 351 is cleveland1971 LOL!

no loitering window?

threefiftyonecleveland

@kimbly: orange can be mixed by which colours?

Yes, 351. There's a string in the upper right corner of the screen. Drag it!

@351 - yes, that's the view

if y circle is 7 and ? 4 so orange circle is 11? and qhite square 4 too?!?!!?

jeez, I keep getting lost just counting the yellow balls let alone anything else

Ahh, ok, Miller. And the gray square - can I count the number of grey things, like doors and mirrors and TVs?

Spoiler plz! lol

the question mark is related to the "north" in yellow room. it's the direction

Pixlehunt. No thanks.

Why is the questionmark 4.

or the tall gray cabinet with 6 square compartments?

ahhh thx ...the very corner pixel and drag it down i needed that

@kimbly: no. orange circle means the balls from yellow AND red room. yellow just yellow room. grey just grey room

?= 20 ?

Miller ;( This is difficult!!

please someone post a spoiler for the math code?

Hm so orange cirle is 7 and y circle 3?

So gray having no balls means the first part of the equation is zero. Still confused with red ? north. . .

I'll explain the math code. grey square represent the squares in grey room (look at colour pattern), orange circle is the sum of balls in red and yellow room, question mark is the direction (n, e, s, w) of the wall inverted and yellow circle is balls in yellow room

Giggling at my last comment.

Circle 3 why?

lights change to blue when looking at equation

so if ? is north the oppsite is south so: 19?

@small-tool - 3 yellow balls in yellow room

Thanks Miller, have a barcode now.

s-t help! I have Y circle = 3
O circle= 7
? inverted = 19
and square =10

Inverted and square is wrong.

Can't use the barcode and can't use anything on it?

hm. maybe square is 11 and ? 23

(right?)

I don't get the math at all. Please someone just post a spoiler!

Just a spoiler wouldn't be fair to Miller, he created this game for us.

questionmark and square are both just one digit.

@s-m: no, no. go ahead

so square 9 and ? 5

the squares is just like Miller said (look at the color panel)
and the questionmark, what Letter is inversed a number.

       Anonymous  11/29/10, 7:46 AM

Love the anagram. Although I thought i wouldn't need the stuff from safe because of that...

5 is wrong.

What to do with the barcode?

I'm pretty sure normal ? is east..

Yep but E(ast) isn't 5.

if ? is 7 3990 doesn't work

lol! ty s-t!

is east 3? I can't get that to work either

got it!

yeah annaby

@s-m: damn, i forgot something. can't believe it! completely sorry! maybe the links will help:

http://www.onlinebarcodereader.com/
SORRY

annaby, remember the order rules for calculations. First multiply then add.

lol Miller!

@small-tool - thanks! If I hadn't been so stuck on this, I would have remembered (I think)

lol loved the message!!!!!!!!!!!!

LOL POP, THanks Miller.

POP rulez!

Thank you very much for this game Miller.
A very good one.
Two little things though;
- I didn't like the pixelhunt at the start and for the yellow key.
- The colors in the window were hard to see (Yellow and Orange).
But kudos for the rest.

@s-m: thanks. this was my first game and i think i still have to learn which is hard and which is easy. when you think of riddles they appear very obvious to yourself...I promise in the next game, there wont be a pixel hunt and codes will be more obvious. and maybe I'll give you a barcode reader ;-)

Oh no, with 'hard' I meant (at least at my monitor) the colors yellow and orange in the window didn't appear as yellow and orange.
So no, don't make the games easier, we like them hard. Let us struggle and let the comments go up to 200 or 300.
Looking forward to your next one.

And forgot to say;
Great Graphics !

I just came back from eating...and finished lol.

Miller, i want to thank you for the game, it is really great !! And go on with them, let them come.
I also liked the graphics !

       Anonymous  11/29/10, 8:17 AM

I just tried any solution for 0 to 150 for the ?. Is there any chance that i read the equation wrong? are we supoosed to get the sum before multiplication?

       Anonymous  11/29/10, 8:20 AM

Ok, refreshing this page from time to time
helps...

(9x7)² + 3x3

       Anonymous  11/29/10, 8:26 AM

well that was a nice one.

I give up.
I dont know what to do with the barcode.
Can't copy it

I am stuck with the pin and the keycard. I did not solve the "anagram too"! What now?

       Anonymous  11/29/10, 11:14 AM

I solved the anagram. its very frustrating. Now have the barcode and stuck with the wall that says north. SOMEONE PLEASE HELPPPPP!!!

       Anonymous  11/29/10, 11:19 AM

OUT with a LOT of help! This one was a toughie!

Great game, Miller and I agree that the graphics are great too! Thanks for going to all the trouble to make a game for us hopelessly hooked escape room gamers! This has all the great combinations of logic, math and just plain entertainment! I hope you make many more games!

i can't solve the anagram (irish reader nights has 17 letters where as there are only 14 letters on the wall) have no clue what to do with the barcode paper.. a bit more help pls from those who have escaped

This comment has been removed by the author.

radhu,
If you already have the barcode paper you don't need the anagram anymore.
Use this http://picupload.org/i/7fed9034159e.jpg
to see the barcode as a picture. Save the pic on your computer.
Then go this side http://www.onlinebarcodereader.com/
to read the barcode (there you have to upload the picture from your computer) and it gives you the answer.

out with a ton of hints, which I usually need for a new game maker. Hopefully, now that I know the style, I'll need less help in the next one.

Looking forward to the next game @Miller! (please with less pixel hunts)

Walkthrough part 1

The game is missing a vital part so instead you have to save an image to you computer to upload. If you don’t want to save stuff to your computer, then you will need to read the spoiler for the solution.

For now, click the red door.

Yellow Room: Note the wall here needs a code and it is the north wall.

If you don’t want to save stuff to your computer, then read the spoiler for the solution.
There is a problem in the game because there is no reader to read the barcode. You have to save the image of the barcode. Here is the link to the image: http://picupload.org/i/7fed9034159e.jpg. Right click and choose “save as” (or something similar for your browser). Now go to http://www.onlinebarcodereader.com/. Click browse to find where you saved the picture. Upload the picture by clicking Send File and the reader will translate it for you.
Enter the translation into the wall
SPOILERPowerOfPostingSPOILER (too funny! We always knew POP saved us in games!)
Press the red button and escape!

Solutions

Here be SPOILERS!!!!!

Solution to the math:
The colors tell you which room to look in. For orange, it is a combination of yellow and red room (yellow+red make orange). (silver square x orange O)squared + red? x yellow O. Silver squares are the square buttons of the color code panel -- there are 9. Silver square=9. Orange O is the sum of the yellow balls in the red and yellow rooms. There are 4 in the red room and 3 in the yellow, so orange O is 7. Since we know there are 3 balls in the yellow room, we also can see that yellow O is 3. Therefore, so far our math equation is (9x7)squared + red? x3.

The red ? is the hardest since I don’t know how you would figure this out without a hint. In the yellow room, you can see the wall with the letter puzzle says North on it. If that is north, then turning around to the silver door is facing South. Turning right to the red door would be facing West. Turning around in the red room to the ? symbol would now be East. The ? is backwards, so you need to turn around the letters. The first letter in E(ast) becomes 3. That is your number for the red ?. (9x7)squared + 3x3 becomes (63)squared+9=3969+9=SPOILER3978SPOILER

Solution to the letter code:
For those who don't upload pictures from untrusted sources, the barcode translates to SPOILERPowerOfPostingSPOILER

End of SPOILERS!!!

Sorry I missed this live. Great Job for you first one Miller!!! I agree the pixel hunt was annoying but the rest of the game (especially the code at the end!! LOL) was well done!!
