You found the fireworks scene yet? All I have seen is apples\tomatoes, garlic\onions and peppers\chllies. Dont know how that makes a password.
click on the little dot on the maze like picture to see fireworks, thats all i can do

Numbers above table. first symbol on each red banner left to right 1,5,9. Dont know what to do with it though....

I think, the second symbol in the code hint 福
means luck.
And I think the first symbol on the third banner is not 9 but 10^4 (10x10x10x10).

Guess we gotta know a lot more about chinese new year traditions!!! Wish I still worked for Aust Border security as I would have had it interpreted by now!!!
I am no lucky today. First Gazzyboy has some problem and I can't play, now I just can not find the button to star the game.........

rofl!!!!!! thank you Shuchun :D tricky little piece of candy, that...hahahaah!!!! well...let me backtrack...of couse I felt compelled to click on each individual piece before I finally .... you can't hear the sense of relief in my voice but believe me....it is there!! :) grabbed the pink treat...well, far from the end of my trouble, this stubborn little morsel would not open to reveal the key, which, I might add, is the most important piece of treasure to find in this game written in a language I could not interpret if my life depended on it...which now brings up an entirely new problem...I KNOW a language barrier exists and that Shuchun or Xenon will need to bail me out *this is just a given :/* yet some unknown force beyond my control takes over my fingers and the game is on...that being said....it is only right that the obligatory walkthrough appear:
WALKTHROUGH FOR THE LANGUAGE-CHALLENGED... or: (just another euphemism for I don't understand diddley but .... *fools rush in*)
Walk into a room with pretty red apples on the table and unintelligible red banners on the wall...okay right here you know you are in trouble...! You started so you might as well continue on to your right where the proverbial *escape* door is along with some sort of white flufff hanging on the wall...as far as you can tell this is strictly for show and even then, it is not that impressive... Meanwhile...continuing to your right some sort of lined abstract picture is on the wall with a diamond shape in the middle....to the left is an infinitesimal grey dot that naturally requires you to click on it and a lovely view is revealed....a young girl nonchalantly hanging around while fireworks go off all around her head...what some people won't do for a thrill! All is not hopeless, however...notice a flame that can be retrieved to your inventory....then depart...After the less than stellar New Year's Eve shindig...two items should leap out at you, but if not I will describe the next clicks on the menu. To the left of the *artwork on the wall*, is a box....I am guessing at this but the outcome should be the same...if you click on the box it will show a flame...to the right, click on a small rectangular box and up pops an equation! Thank you to Shuchun for the excellent interpretation...otherwise you would still be trying to figure this New Year's escape and, with me, would be doomed to a lifetime of kissing and *Happy New Year* greetings along with other disgustingly cheery salutations.... :/ We are almost out..don't despair! Continue to the right and notice you need a password for the big box...well....to make a long story not quite as long....look at that formula for the answer...Now...since it will be much simpler to just blatantly cheat and give you the answer....here it is: *again...thank you Shuchun* :D ... *for those who want to accomplish this feat without the *cheater* walkthrough...on your honor ... close your eyes!! ;) for the remainder of intrepid gamers....the answer is CHE*135*TER. Alright...alright...again...thank you Shuchun!!!! :) ... the equation is number of *diamond shapes* + feather strokes of symbol *13* X 10...and voila! 135. Enter this number into the box and take the pink piece of candy. Now...I am thinking I have just about finished this very short game whose walkthrough is at least twice as long as the actual gameplay....let us just leave it at that....! o.0 All that is left is highlighting the candy, click toward the right wrapped end and receive and very pretty and useful gold key! Needless to say....no further directions are needed!
Congratulations!!!!!! You have escaped the New Year...I mean the New Year Room! Shall we recap? Anyone playing this game has long since finished because *1,2,3,4,5 and you are out* would have sufficed, but due to my verbose nature plus a very *convoluted* sense of humour, it has been my extreme pleasure, not to mention a heck of alot of fun, writing this *New Year Walkthrough: Did Someone say Understatement* :D

oh....P.S.: lol...don't worry ...unlike it's predecessor this post will be short....hahaha1111 There is an ending with money and one without money....to get your money *because after Christmas we can all use it!*, click on each edge of the diamond shape above table w/ apples, then click on the middle of the shape. Magic elves will shove money out the lower right-hand side.....

For the red envelope (money), you click each corner until you get and exclamation mark (!) (it's more than once), then click the center.
At first I thought it was related to the numbers on the banners that Michael pointed out, plus the number of apples.
Click on the diamond福btween一帆風順年年好and萬事如意步步高's vertixand middle. Then ,you will have the good ending

it's not a puzzle-like picture on the wall, it's a traditional window made of paper, and the grey dot is a hole in the window lol. and the "white fluff" by the escape door is actually garlics. I'm chinese (:
