Well, can you explain, then, what to do with the white pages, the handcuffs and the last guy with the gun? I'm stuck, here! :)

Re-loaded, still no gun in safe. Noticed that lamp in hall has no plug, no wonder it doesn't turn on!! LOL

OK, that was buggy. It's like Merryworks said, don't combine spray and tape before opening the safe.
Same here but now I still have the white pages and a cut phone cord. Can't call for help or even walk out the door.
Nevermind, found another room with a key.
Patooie!! Definite bug as only got gun by leaving the annoying sound on and not yet using baseball bat, or even getting the tape\spray! Only restarted 3 times!!! Got key from upstairs now!
after avoided the bug, it was quite easy. That's why I like StoneAgeGames, I can go in and go out in quite a short time withouth a WT, feeling more smart afterwards, lol. Anyone needs one?

Well I definitely opened my safe before I combined the spray and tape, as I didn;t find the tape for ages. But my safe was empty. Don;t think I can face another start...

key for pantry in room upstairs (click stairs) - had quite long to find it out...
i am clicking, handcuffs are on..not opening!
i had to leave for a minute i will restart again but i opened my safe first and no gun ;(

It was easy.
A Maybe-you-can-avoid-the-bug-WT - Because of buggy action consequences, it's wise to follow the following order:
- first room: light lamp, take baseball-bat in right corner
- go through door in corridor and straight forward to the gun-burgler
- take white pages on floor and safe code from wall
- go right, zoom on safe, type code, click on handle (code disappears in inventory), zoom out, safe is open with big gun.
- take gun, zoom out, zoom on old table, take handcuffs, zoom out
- combine handcuffs and gun in inventory
- go left back to the gun-burgler and handcuff him
- go back to corridor, go right to office, knock out burgler with baseball-bat.
- zoom on table, take scotch
- zoom out, back, and left in bathroom
- take spray in cabinet, combine it with scotch.
- go back in corridor, straight to gun-burgler, left in kitchen.
- knock out egg-burgler with spray and scotch.
- go back to gun-burgler and click on stairs to go upstairs in living room
- key for pantry under sofa cushion of left sofa
- go back in kitchen and open white door with key
- take blue insulating tape on right box and pliers on lower shelf, combine them.
- go back to office, zoom on table and fix the broken phone cable.
- click on phone, white pages disappear in inventory and you receive a police car.
- go back to handcuffed gun-burgler and open the black door to let the police in.
- click on police car and you're a hero, knocking out 3 burglers at a time - gongtats (but this is completely another game ;-) )!
Hope, this WT is not buggy, means no missing something. I'm not so experienced in WT-writing yet as some master practicioners here on EG24 ;-)
Annoying! I got the gun after restarting...got all the way to where I fixed the wire on the phone, but clicking the phone does nothing...another bug? I read the walkthrough so it must be another bug :(

the white pages should be lightened in your inventory by clicking the phone - were they? I played the game once more, and it works...
Extremely buggy tried safe with no items and still no gun tried with many different items and 1 at a time still a bug, pull this game...
crashhana is right...i've tried everyone's bug-fix suggestions and restarted like 6 times and STILL NO GUN! very frustrating... :(
BUG FIX!
just did it, no gun in safe.
reload the game, take first guy out with bat.
get spray and tape but DON'T COMBINE YET
go get the code and white pages down stairs then turn to see safe.
open safe and gun will be there.
THEN combine spray and take down egg theif.
funniest part to me was combining the shot gun w/ the handcuffs the icon changed to an ak47 w/ handcuffs

That's a kooky bug to find. Why the need to open the safe before combining the scotch tape and spray?

No phone bug, Candibar, you just have to click on the keypad of the phone, that's all. I didn't get it to work straight away, either, unitl I found the right spot.
It's such a shame as I thought this was their most atmospheric game, but there's nothing that ruins suspense faster than a lapse in continuity.
It works the same as imagining a powerful individual on the toilet. The effect loses that "edge" after that.

I played 5 times in the end.
First time I was so stuck I had to resort to comment-hunting. Second time, tried to go straight to the safe and it was empty. Third time I tried I followed premiere's fix, which gave me a gun, then fourth play, I tried omgkthnx's fix, also giving me the gun. Fifth time I got both the spray and the tape, WITHOUT combining them, and got no gun.
That concludes my bug trial.

By the way, the music went very well with the theme; I'm not sure how it could be "annoying"?
You are thrown into the burglary scenario from the instant you enter the game, but my first reaction wasn't to open the safe! I suppose it'd save them the job of torturing me for the combination?
Also I don't think I'd put ANY lights on in my own house if I had burglars. I know my way round, they don't, remember? Haha.
Apart from that it was a good game, and I'm sorry it had that [rare for SAG] bug.
And I want that gun-guy's coat! In black, please!
Leather would be nice, with no silly drafty gap at the back; I'll have to turn it up because it'll be too long =)
