Lets goooo..

G'day Michael -- this looks cute!

Hmmm a wood bond? Suppose they mean glue..

hi. well got sweeper (lol) and wood bond?? used key

now no idea nothing works

Gidday I am not getting anywhere fast! Have also tried praying with medallion to no effect.

Hmm. I'm not finding anything.

any1 used broom - sweeper - yet?

There's something in lights.
(I've tried praying everywhere. Guess she'll just have to help herself!)

looks like a hammer in lamps above table, cant get it though - tried broom- no luck

Something on the lights as well but cant get it. Could be a hammer for the wall??

Key under water table.

Well, you can click behind the cupboard and under the table, for a start.
I like the stars for "about item", and had no trouble working that out.
And - Hello Michael!

Sweeper/broom in cupboard with key.

       Anonymous  2/17/11, 11:12 PM

Where is the wood bond?

@ 639 behind closet

Haha, so many people, when there was just one when I posted!
You lot are fast!
To give a huge spoiler, you can glue the stick, then add broom =)

@Rookwings, thanks for behind cupboard!

Got hay now...

The stick is in plain view, but a bit disguised, by the way.

       Anonymous  2/17/11, 11:14 PM

how do you get behind the cb?

which stick ? or you mean the stick of the broom

I think I don't like this hammer =(

pop - stick left side of exit door

I think stick was in the clock view

Got the stick and now the hammer but wouldnt work on wall!

Michael, how did you get straw? The broom disappeared when I got the hammer.

Hitting the prayer necklace with it doesn't work, either
And I HAVE tried the wall crack, of course

I don't want to hit the soldier with it because he seems so nice

       Anonymous  2/17/11, 11:19 PM

Got outside. Gave man glasses.

Hammer doesn't work on lock or on soldier!

Good morning

got the hammer now with extended stick

Hay came from window next to cupboard I think..

Can we actively "pray" with this star thing then?

@Switch, glasses?

Where the glasses come from?????

how to get outside
got hammer and straw

       Anonymous  2/17/11, 11:23 PM

Glasses are outside. Hammer can be used where you found the glue. Click again.

Michael, come on, spill the beans... how did you get hay from a window, please?

There is another view behind the cupboard. If you get stuck outside there is a white triangle to push.

Hay! Thanks, Michael. pixelly, about 2nd bar from left.

the glue was behind the cb - but I cant hammer anything there

I HATE that right side of the cupboard -- keep jumping to the next scene!

pop - very pixely - thank you

how do you know the 4-digit-code?

Well, that was bizarre, hay appeared in my inventory when I was behind the cupboard. My lag is to blame, probably.
Thanks anyway, Michael =)

Yup got surprised myself when the hay showed up!!

I'm stuck with hammer and hay, can't use the hammer behind cabinet either... What to do??

So what is the code??

I've got the same problem as you, PuzzledinCA.
I'm not finding a useful spot behind the cupboard

@lina click again behind cupboard before highlighting hammer..

Secret wine, then hay to soldier, but praying isn't giving me the 4# combination!
(Where you got glue, click again towards tope.)

@rookwings same comment..

behind the cb - click along upward a bit - suddenly you hit the crack

cant make anything out of the paper from soldier

rope, not tope!

Ha! sort of near the top of the view, on the floor [white] part!

have to go -
hope you escape

have a nice day

Thx for your help Michael, but nothing is happening... :( Don't know what I'm doing wrong... Hm...

       Anonymous  2/17/11, 11:32 PM

Paper is counting. Above the "numbers" is the order to put to code.

You mean top, not tope, PuzzledinCA?
And how are you "praying"?

Good morning all!
Got bottle of wine from behind cabinet and now soldier is drunken but don't open the door

Finally, got it!! :) Thought I had clicked everywhere but apperently not :)

Ah - found it - gave him the hay

I've found wine! Nice stuff, too. Should we invite zoz or have it all to ourselves?

I had my hammer highlighted the whole time, so I don't think that makes a difference, Michael. It's just a pixel hunt

SM -- thanks for the paper. So we have the first letters of the numbers 1-9.
2 (3)
4 (f)
7 (o)
9 (t)
should be 7924, but not working?!

@switch code??

Tried going up as well as down.
Oh! it's 5 not 4!

the clue on the memo from soldier's pocket is nice. The letters are initals for numbers in order. the ones in brackets above them are the order to use them, as Switch said

Amen how sweet! So to be continued maybe?

the arrow to unlock the padlock is pixelly, too. Just keep lugging at it

Oh, I love train rides!

Got 4-digit code and now outside

@Rookwings, I highlighted my star amulet while looking at the lock! The one that says pray when you need help.

To continue playing after giving the rich guy his glasses, click the white arrow down by his speech.
I almost missed that!

Anja, how did u figured that out, I've no clue, spoiler please???

That was cute!
Thanks again for the hay, Michael!
[It's not often I get to say that in the course of a day, haha]

@lina, look above. Get paper from soldier's pocket (that white thing) for hint.

ok 4-digit-code from up to down:

SPOILER ALERT!!!!!

SP7o9I2L5ER

Yep it was your heyday wasnt it? I dont often get to say that either Lol..

I'm going to play again to try it, PuzzledinCA, thank you. I thought that was only a description of it???
Sneedle, if you read these comments, thanks for a nice game =)

That was fun! Haven't gotten to play live from the beginning for awhile.

what a let down i wanted to get off the train and do some more snooping around...spoilsports..grrrr

Haha, Michael, but I suspect that pun was probably beneath you ;P

Thx Anja!!! :)

@Rookwings, I TRIED to pray, but it didn't help! (lol) I guess it was a security blanket!

@ PuzzledinCA:
I don't know?? You did get out quite fast =)

@rookwings I know I know horrible pun wasnt it.

I think all info for getting out is in the comments above, but if a walkthrough is coming, I believe it's Michael's turn?

Am I pushing it now? =P

Now if somebody can solve lvl 25 in "the deceit" we will all be happy.

I daren't even START that game. My hat's off to anyone that does =)

I have all the answers up to first password at lvl 25 so you can guess where my day went..... Very difficult!

I don't have a chance then, unless the answers are posted. The maker has asked people not to post outright answers =(
I was going to skip through them, taking notes on how they are solved, and have a go.
Sorry Michael.
Have this piece of straw instead =)

Can only ask so will now enjoy my piece of straw. Personally dont think this game needs a WT as all answers are in the comments..

I tried too load it and the window crashed. My computer is being a pain in the "area" tonight, so no-can-help, Michael, sorry

@rookwings some very nasty obscure answers in "the deceit" and the game was very slow to load. Dont punish yourself!

Jitter-through
"Jitter lost her parents and house by war. The poor girl decided to visit her grandma, [who] lives in the far town.
To start the journey, she needs to escape from [her] current situation ..."

The current situation is a small room with barred windows.
Jitter is standing next to a table with water, but she's not thirsty.
Jitter looks under the table (near second leg) to get a key (click near second leg)
She sees something in the lights, but is too short to reach them.

Going right, there are some men talking about the war.
Jitter reaches up to the window and finds some straw (click middle of second bar from left).
Then, she uses the key to open the cupboard and finds a sweeper.
She looks behind the cupboard (click bottom right) and finds some wood bond
Looking up (click near top of screen, in gray area), she sees a crack.

Jitter goes right to find a locked door guarded by a bored soldier. Even though she asks politely, he won't open the door for her.
On the floor to the left of the door (where the wall and floor join), she picks up a wood stick

To the right is a family. Seeing them makes Jitter feel very lonely, so she continues right again to lights.

Jitter takes the wood stick (highlight it then click the star with a "+" sign) and adds the wood bond, and then the broom.
She is now able to knock down the object from the light. It's a hammer! That was dangerous!

Resourceful little Jitter takes the hammer and uses it on the crack behind the cupboard to get a bottle of wine.
She then takes the wine and gives it to the soldier, who takes it because his senior officer isn't there. (For his sake, we hope it wasn't the senior officer who hid the wine!)
He drinks the whole bottle, so when Jitter gives him the hay, he lies down in a stupor.

Jitter takes the hint for the lock from the soldier's pocket (open it by highlighting it and clicking the upper right corner).
Jitter now opens the padlock (enter the number from the hint top to bottom, then click the gray bar at the top).

Joyfully, Jitter goes outside. She recognizes the train station, but there's a confused-looking man standing on the left (click him)
He says he's lost his glasses. Jitter looks around and finds them on her right, in the snow bank.
The man is very grateful (click the little white arrows in the dialog box) and agrees to take Jitter on the train with him.

"Jittter got on the train. Can she meet her grandma? The train is running in the snow falling. And Jitter's journey is just started.
'See you soon, Grandma.'

To Be Continued...."

I'll respect the kind advice and leave that one then, thanks, Michael.
Enjoy the straw. I picked you out a nice one =)

@ PuzzledinCA:
That's a really great walkthrough, in a lovely narrative form! Thanks for taking the trouble! =)
You know how to get the bold type thing, too.
Does everyone know except me? haha

Padlock solution
The letters on the paper are
"o t t f f s s e n"

Above the first "t" is "(3)"
Above the second "f" is "(f)"
Above the second "s" is "(o)"
Above the "n" is "(t)"

The letters are the first letters of the numbers (one through nine).
2 is (3)
5 is (4)
7 is (1)
9 is (2) (since 2 is 3)

Thus, the combination is 7925.

Thanks, Rookwing. Don't know much html, but that I've learned.
I don't know how to post the code so it looks like you type it, but you type
left-angle-bracket b right-angle bracket
word
left-angle-bracket forward-slash b right-angle bracket
to get word
Do a view source to see how it looks.

This game was so cute I had to write the WT even though the answers were all above.

I'll look forward to the next in the series.

Wow, I never knew how to do the "view source" bit, PuzzledinCA, thanks!
Not only have you saved me from that tower of eternity, but given me a bit of education as well.
THANK YOU!

what a sad story, poor little girl on her own

This game looked promising, but it is just a terrible pixel hunt. I don't like it.

Sorry, but this was just bad.

Thanks for WT, PuzzledinCA! I had the dialog box out of view, so I was stuck trying to get to train for ages! LOLOL...you must read the dialog to move ahead...I liked the game...very cute!

okay, here's an alternative way to open the padlock (I never looking in the soldier's pocket!):
Look at the clock! It's either 10:31 or 22:31. Since there is no zero on the padlock, I entered 2231 (top to bottom) and it opened!

And @Rookwings, regarding the wine, I resent the insinuendos!

note: "I resent the insinuendos" is actually a quote from the original Mayor Daly of Chicago :)

@zoz, interesting! I tried this and it wouldn't work for me -- I tried it again without picking up the paper. You must have the magic touch! (or the game has been fixed).
Wish I had your wit for writing the walkthrough!

@nokra, thanks. I got stuck there as well the first time through. Martin:D had mentioned a white triangle, but all I could see was the yellow one that did nothing!

@Rookwings, you're welcome. I am constantly learning new things here. Many of the riddle games require you to look at the source to get clues for the answer, so now you have a tool to try tackling one of those as well!

@ PuzzledinCA:
Aha! I hadn't thought of that! [source code and riddles] Very nice to know, thanks!

@ zoz:
As I'm english, you could have got away with claiming that as one of your own! I "got" it straight away, and it made me laugh the instant I read it, =)
I've no knowledge of the quote, but I'd still like to use it myself sometime, hehe. Was it deliberate when the original blokey said it? If he's a politician, probably not. =P

If it was about me I wouldn't resent at all.

@Rookwings: Mayor Richard J. Daly was a notoriously heavy-handed and powerful politician who was mayor of Chicago for something like 45 years. The motto in Chicago on election day was always "vote early, and vote often" because there was thought to be so much corruption. Many people believe that Mayor Daly delivered the Presidency to John F. Kennedy by stuffing the ballot boxes in Illinois in the 1960 election, in return for favors (money?) from Kennedy's father, the former bootlegger Joe Kennedy. I have a book, a parody of "Quotations from Chairman Mao", called "Quotations from Mayor Daly". He was a master of the malapropism.
And that concludes today's history lesson.

@small-tool, I never said the comment wasn't accurate, lol!

I know zoz, I just post random stuff on random games.
Just for fun, take a look at my latest posts on that riddle game, Deceit Chronicle.

@ zoz:
We all know you deserved that wine in that game anyway, especially as it was good wine, because you give so much to entertaining people. I love clever vandalism of words, and your comic timing was spot-on with that one. =) Even accidental ones, like my friend's little son's "labradogs" and "elbones", and a colleague's "various veins". As for that mayor chap? He won't be getting any wine from us, but it's nice to know who I'm plagiarising =)

@ small-tool:
It's nice of you to keep the older threads alive =D
