...and out! @nokra thank You very much, but I like it, to find out without help ;-)@selfdefiant thanks for the nice game!!!

I chose not to buy the Watch because I wasn't playing for a high score. The watch will slow time, so you can escape "faster". The choice of what to buy and when is, of course, everyone's to make for themselves.
btw, @Selfdefiant, could I purchase one of those Time-Slowing Clocks for my own personal use? I will pay handsomely!

Ah...I understand, @julia...I thought you were asking for help....lolol...Congrats!

i think there were actually 13 orbs in room A (the one with the chest)

It was a major BUG for me. Using Chrome and XP. Found all 6 cogs and placed them according to size of black things. Big cog on big black spot and small cog on little spot.

And....

is something supposed to happen?? They are just stuck. I clicked like mad all over them and suddenly a small one got picked up but I was clicking so fast that it went back in place and still nothing. Now the little one will not move at all.

BUG BUG BUG BUG

This game was excellent until that happened.

I think that the cog that is originally in place has to be picked up and moved left before placing the others. When I played the game I think I must have inadvertently taken the cog off and put it back later, in a new spot. That's what works for me now.

Well.... really weird... after clicking like mad all over the cogs and having one suddenly lift up and back into place... I then clicked on the stick thing that looks like a hammer hanging there and the head of it slid down.... and nothing. So I backed out and searched all over for an exit that I do not remember seeing. Then I went back to the cog place and when I clicked to go back in .... I was out!

       Anonymous  6/2/11, 12:33 PM

Hi Zoz, I bet you are correct. I didn't think about the one already there. That was the one that moved. It was very confusing though when I pushed the "lever" thing that nothing happened. I searched all around (thank goodness for the crystal thing) but no exit - I almost gave up but thought all my problems were in the cog room. Imagine my surprise to find myself OUT!! :-)

as usual i found the game after more than 200 comments, so i had the time to CELEBRATE it... it was wonderful... thanks SD... also for the place... i'd love to restore this house to live there for the rest of my life =)

oh... i've forgotten to say thanks for the help with the place for crowbar... i was searching so desperately... but after this i got my way out alone... and suddenly... because i was waiting when i would find the first gem... after placing the cogs (and nothing happened) i zoomed out and at the same door again by mistake... but this was the end... lol

Where to find & need what (without orb counting):

*******
Start before you get the map:

- go up, take SACRED JAR for orbs
- same room right under stairs PLACE FOR 6 COGS (click door under stairs)
- go back, collecting orbs, you need 25 for map (not 50 as I posted earlier... so sorry!)
- then go left, up stairs (CROWBAR), up & left through mirror (what I call warp canal :-D) to the salesman / shop
- buy MAP & take small COG-1 right on floor
(if it's there, see notes at the end...)
*******

A
- opened with silver key from F
- hammer in box with padlock
- padlock with code from F

B
- knife (move stone on floor on the right)
- silver door to the left

C
- just orbs...

D
- start screen
- blue door to the right

E
- opened with blue key from P
- light fireplace with lantern from V (costs 50 orbs) for big COG

F
- silver key (move wall down left with crowbar from G)
- code on room divider with pegasus/angel for padlock in A
(8497)

G
- crowbar (stairs)

H
- sacred jar for orbs
- place for 6 cogs (click ESCAPE door under stairs)

I
- gold key (use screwdriver from M on loose floor tile)

J
- warp canal = entrance through mirror to V
- red door up

K
- green door to the right

L
- opened with green key from T
- axe on smashed mirror

M
- screwdriver on floor to the right (red door passed)

N
- just orbs...

O
- big COG in crate (use axe from L on it)
- purple key under big tile on floor

P
- blue key attached on string, wall left side (use knife from B on it)

Q
- red key (use hammer from A on wall crack)
- gold door to the right
- purple door up

R
- opened with gold key from I
- dark corridor, use lantern from V (costs 50 orbs)

S
- opened with purple key from O
- small COG side of floor

T
- opened=lightened with lantern from V
- green key (light fireplace with lantern)
- big COG on upper left corner of fireplace

U
- big COG on left green wall

V
- salesman & shop
(map for 25 / lantern 50 / sphere 75 / clock 25 orbs)
- small COG bottom right on floor

Note:
- I hope, that I didn't forget anything...
- I noticed that already two (little) cogs are placed in H...
You have to click on the right one to take it and place it back.
It seems to be the one in V (shop), 'cause going to the salesman the little cog on floor isn't anymore there...

If you are still reading the comments @Selfdefiant,
you may fix that, if it's a bug (?). Thx very much.

A - Why am I collecting the orbs?

B - I can not get the game to run in FF on Mac. Had to use Safari.

I can't seem to get it to bug for me. I am looking into it though.

I also had to pick one gear up again and replace it, after finding them all and placing them, to make the lever work. Thanks for yet another great experience @SD! Thanks for a wonderful wt @zoz!!

Spent a bit more than an hour inside that place. Enjoyed every minute of it. @Selfdefiant, you rock! Thanks :)

SD, another great challenge. I liked that there was a purpose to collecting orbs (to buy the aids). I was a little worried that I was giving energy to the Dark Side when I did so, though!

FYI to other gamers --
The only aid you REALLY need is the lantern.
You need the map to understand most of the hints.

Thank-you SD. That was fantastic. Positively could NEVER have done this one on my own. Great w/t zoz. I was wandering around for ages totally confused and my eyes were just not seeing the obvious.
Still curious about the moving brick in Rm I. Was it to draw our eyes away from the floorboard? (which, im my case, it did).

Thank you, Selfdefiant!!!!!!
I really REALLY enjoyed this one!
The gorgeous music, the gameplay, the photography,
the shop - just everything =)- And no diving down toilets!!!! =D =D =D
I played it and got out so fast, I had to play again to appreciate it, haha.
I love the way that playing these is like an archaeological dig - if you are in too much of a rush to get round, you can miss things.
When I played first time, my crystal was called "long-nosed pliers", or something similar. I missed that when I replayed and it was just a crystal, haha.

[By the way, I've found and played all the Sneaky's Road Trips, thank you. I loaded them through EG24, so there was no problem. I'll try again through MM and hope I don't get the "there seems to be a problem" message, or whatever it said =D
Thank you for sending me back to them. Lovely and relaxing.]

Anyone want an ORB-THROUGH? I found 200 in total, so if there are any more, feel free to correct me =)
I haven't seen first page of comments, so apologies to anyone who wrote one there.

Thanx anyway SD!!! :D

Brilliant as usual, SD!!! Needed a bit of help on this one, so thanx to Zoz for AWESOME WT!!!

great game again - Selfdefiant - thank you
and in this one I could actually see things!
out on my own leisurely a day late

If I need the picket in Room H to use in Room O on the floor to get the purple key for the door in Room Q in order for me to get to Room S which may or may not have the Cog needed to complete the task to get the picket in Room H; then I guess I cannot finish this Escape Game this time. :o( ....

@ Aye0218:
Nay0218!!!!
Why are you looking for a "picket", and what the heck is a "picket" anyway? =)
You need nothing to get the purple key, just click and drag the board on the floor on the right hand side.
You need only the "sacred jar" on the floor in plain view in Room H.
If you are seriously stuck, go back up the comments for zoz's cog locations [cogs are also known as gears] and click the door in the centre of the screen, at the back wall.
A screen opens up with a small cog and six black dots.
You need to remove the cog and place all seven of them to get the sliding lever at the left to move.
[I did the already-placed cog last, and had to click around it quite a bit to find the pixel to get it off, but it does come off.]
Put it straight back on, then pull the lever down.
back out and click the same door again; this is the exit! =)

Having played this game several times now, I can say there is definitely something amiss with the cogs. Sometimes I have TWO cogs already in place, but most times just ONE. Another time, I had ONE cog to begin with, but when I got to Room K (I think) there was a cog on the wall to the right of the door! When I took this cog and returned to Room H to place it, the original cog had disappeared. Have these games developed a free will of their own???????

@zoz..that happened to me, but I just thought I'd gone mad. I started with 2 cogs, collected all the cogs (as per your W/T), but when i got back there was only one cog on the wall. I placed the cogs according to the dot size and I had enough, even tho I wasnt sure if i had one too many or few. I have to be truthful and say I assumed I had the dingbats. I really thought my eyes had deceived me..LOLOL

Thanks @SelfDefiant - great game!

hey only new players r here

@zoz:
Me too! I played again and got two cogs ready in place, twice.
I'm not sure if we were supposed to find the seventh cog elsewhere now, and place it on the shaft like the others???

@Seldefiant:
If you're still peeping in here now and then, I'm happy to keep playing this game if you find anything that didn't "work right"! =D =D
I'll wait to see if you post again first, though.

@SD: Thanks for this great game.
After first start I could write on map but accidently went to MENU. After I came back in the game I couldn't write on map anymore. I started a new game and still wasn't able to write. (hurray for pen and paper irl).
When having the lantern you can't write cause it will warp you to that place. Am I making sense? LOL
btw I love the warpspeed.
Will play the game cause I love it. Thank you so much.

And out too. This game is great even when you don't play live.

In and out - all by myself! Thank you, Selfdefiant for another great game!

out with help with the red key (thanks, zoz!) My brain must have still been on vacation to miss that crack.

Out with 199 orbs.

Great game, SelfDefiant! I didn't have any trouble placing the gears.

By the way, to anyone that cares, the gear is the whole round thing -- the cogs are the "teeth" of the gears. ;)

@kitkatfox:
"Cog" is the most commonly used name for that whole shape [in england, anyway], because it is short for "cogwheel".
"Gear" is used, of course, by mechanics and designers
=)

"Gear" in england is used for clothing, equipment [ both also "kit"], or the part of the operation of a car [except automatics, haha]

cool to know, Rookwings. Thanks! :)

thanks @premiere for the orb count

       Anonymous  6/11/11, 8:31 AM
