Actually a project for my friends and buddies only, but alas, they're not much into this kind of entertainment, so I decided to make it available to all of you out there." OK, so I need to figure out that they want the inventor, and then randomly guess which of the 3000 languages on the planet to translate his name into???

wiki mount fuji and their are about 4 variations listed.
I tried that combo, and many others, that is why this game is frustrating, it is solve the mystery, and then solve how to enter.

I've tried blackandwhite, grayscale and greyscale, luminance, intensity.
Not finding anything else close in the articles I've been able to find (which are more how to convert than giving a name for the end product).

Well, I still can't find the device and gonna give up. Didn't like this riddle that much in the first place with all those very specific ways/names you have to spell the answer.

On riddle games are usually no walkthroughs because giving the plain answers is 'not done'. It spoils the game.

I am just looking at the cards and the kilt pattern and nothing...
@ Cris.. by the process of elimination, you can figure out what card is face down. Google that card and you will find that it has another name. Input that name.

For 9, find the missing card and it's meaning. wiki should help.
For 13, if you do not play chess it is very difficult to help. However the first move is of K***, 2nd one also K*** and last one for R***. Write them without space.
For chess if there is no place for king to move then it is mate, you can read about how the pieces move in wiki, otherwise email me, I can give you the answer.

Because there are 12 of them and the author of this riddle seems to be a fantasy/sf fan.

I think I read the whole screenplay by now and as what I understand he (Bruce Willis) has to call the voicemail of the scientists, but scientists or thescientists is wrong.

Well, I got 17. I was very strange. I googled the script and did "find" on the page for "phone number" then just read down until I found it. you are not looking for a person and it is not a number. It is who answers the phone once they make the call!

Well 19 looks like an interesting chess problem, but I'm afraid it's gonna take more moves than level 13.
Have to do some things now, be back in about half an hour, to crack this one.

For 19; White starts and the 5th move of white is checkmate.
Don't forget the 4th move of black is taking a piece so write it with x.
And really no idea at all what to do on level 20.

Nope, I was being stupid, thought black rook could take white knight at move 2 for a better defense, but it only leads to checkmate in 4 moves instead of 5.

20 - Nord hints says there is a hidden sentence and that the word looks like a "non-sense" type word. I looked at it in Gimp but didn't find a layer or anything. Must have to do with de-coding.

Stuck on level 12 -- got the right story and tried entering the name of the fictional language and the name of the ring and the name of the ring in the fictional language, but nothing's working

Just before I wanted to go to bed I checked this and finished the riddle, because you gave me some ideas.
Anyway it is the hidden sentence and 'turn' is used in two ways (backwards and last letters) and the answer doesn't make any sense at all till you see the congrats.
oh.. thanks small-tool. Will work on it tomorrow! I guess I was on the right track for once. Hopefully, I won't need to email you to finish this one!
Well, it was a good riddle on most of the levels but some of them were too far-fetched with Googling (like the device in the Brazil movie and the answer in the 12 monkey movie).
Don't feel like sending a mail to get into the hall of fame, not sure why, guess because the Nordinho guys finished first again and because on the index it says go to Nordinho for hints, while EG24 gives more and better hints.
Yep, I know it's childish, but that's my mood right now and I'm sure I regret posting this tomorrow.
Won't be able to finish -- have to pack for a trip to see my Dad in Georgia.
I think the only riddle game I enjoyed was the Sherlock Holmes one. Got farther in this than most, but only because of the helpful hints. Thanks, all!

There were MANY battles and wars in that year in many parts of the globe. Very interesting history lesson. I tried many, not being able to pick One Major Event, and the picture means nothing to me.

On 16. you need to get the date from the missing dominoes. then you need to find a famous event that happened in that year. think french.. google the year with a particular country that I just mentioned. and you should have a major event in history
@small-tool. I agree with you. mostly in Nordhino you get people pming the answer. rarely do you get a hint that you could use. We here at EG24 are the best!
more on 16 - read the clue "hot, blazing, people fought" then with the missing tiles that give you the date.. au revoir!

17 was impossible. I just stumbled upon it .. dumb luck

do a "find" search in the text (command or control "f") then enter "passerby" for the search word. the very next paragraph will have the answer in it. --- time to vacuum!
18 - solve the equation.. Small-Tool left excellent hints and the answer to the equation. then look at the picture that goes along with the equation.. (I had bit of trouble on this one too.) Look at again at small-tools hints, then if you still have trouble look at the clue in the riddle and it says "swine".. maybe look up another name for swine/pig in a different language. then google that term for pig along with the term for a small body of land surrounded by water and you should have the correct answer.

Finished the riddle with the help of great clues left by Small-Tool and Enjoy. Thanks.
@Lulu, same as level 13, only this time 5 moves from white and four from black, i,e, you have to write nine letter number combination.
For 20 apply the acrostic trick to the hidden sentence but last letters and backwords, you will get a non-sence word, that's the answer.
