    ReplyDelete
  43. LEVEL 8
I've tried blackandwhite, grayscale and greyscale, luminance, intensity.
Not finding anything else close in the articles I've been able to find (which are more how to convert than giving a name for the end product).

    ReplyDelete
  44. Enjoy -- thanks for the Finnish Euro -- I was trying for loonie (the Canadian dollar).

    ReplyDelete
  45. If anyone still stuck on level 8, It's a 3 word phrase, ****** of g***. Can be found in wiki on g***s****.

  62. Can't find the name of the device on level 10 in the wiki page of Brazil?
I'm looking for the name of that device, right?
    Is there a better site?

    ReplyDelete
  63. Small-tool it is not in wiki, search google for movie brazil device, it is the first hit.

    ReplyDelete
  64. still dun get 12....wat is it??

    ReplyDelete
  65. Got 12. It's the language. Consult wiki.

Small-tool, sorry for wrong information, it's not the first hit, however I got the name from google search.

    ReplyDelete
  66. Thanks Faltu, but I still can't find it. My first hits in Google are YouTube video's and all I get from that is 'console' but that's wrong.

    ReplyDelete
  67. omg finally got it. its about the words on the ring.

    ReplyDelete
  68. is someone going to post a wt?

    ReplyDelete
  69. Well, I still can't find the device and gonna give up. Didn't like this riddle that much in the first place with all those very specific ways/names you have to spell the answer.

    ReplyDelete
  70. This comment has been removed by the author.

    ReplyDelete
  71. Smalltool, it starts with E, If you replace devise with machine it's there.

    On 15 now.

    ReplyDelete
  72. I must be fool. I typed everycombination on minus+number+name anda nothing...
    I will give up

    ReplyDelete
  73. Cris,
On riddle games are usually no walkthroughs because giving the plain answers is 'not done'. It spoils the game.
And thanks for the offer about 10, but it's not about the country Brasil, but about the movie Brazil.
    And for 6 it's minus2..d....e

Thanks Faltu for trying to help me, but I don't like this riddle.
    Good luck and have fun.

    ReplyDelete
  74. Cris it is minusnumberunit(de**** Celsius)

    ReplyDelete
  75. Small-tool it is the name of the PC.

And about the riddle, yes it is very much guess work, I do not like it also, but since it is only 20 level, I am giving it a try.

Good luck to you also. Enjoy.

    ReplyDelete
  76. thanks @ST I maybe was writing something wrong. on 7 now

    ReplyDelete
  77. i cant do 13:( i dun play chess..

    ReplyDelete
  78. need help on 12! Not sure what the image is.. can find it on Tineye, but no luck so far on the language

    ReplyDelete
  79. sth to do with lord of the rings @EnJoy

    ReplyDelete
  80. Oh Pop.. got something to do with the Hobbit.. still working on it though

    ReplyDelete
  81. Enjoy fictional language used in lotr.

@aL3xaNdRa, you have to write three moves, white, black and white again, that is to mate the black king, follow notation of wiki.

On 16 now, and bye for today.

    ReplyDelete
  82. Ok.. onto 13 now. Making progress :)

    ReplyDelete
  83. I am really fool. I stuck on levels where nobody did. Any extra hint for 9?

    ReplyDelete
  84. On no! I don't know chess either and faltu's hint isn't making much sense to me

    ReplyDelete
  85. @ Cris.. is level 9 the cards?

    ReplyDelete
  86. I am just looking at the cards and the kilt pattern and nothing...

    ReplyDelete
  87. @ Cris.. by the process of elimination, you can figure out what card is face down. Google that card and you will find that it has another name. Input that name.

    ReplyDelete
  88. thanks for the tip EnJoy..

    ReplyDelete
  89. For 9, find the missing card and it's meaning. wiki should help.

For 13, if you do not play chess it is very difficult to help. However the first move is of K***, 2nd one also K*** and last one for R***. Write them without space.

For chess if there is no place for king to move then it is mate, you can read about how the pieces move in wiki, otherwise email me, I can give you the answer.

    ReplyDelete
  90. have to go for awhile.. still stuck on 13 (chess)

    ReplyDelete
  91. Bye for today. I've answered the emails sent to me. Hope you get them.

    ReplyDelete
  92. I cant believe you got so fast the device machine name on level 10....
I found zillions site for the movie and not found the damn name..

    ReplyDelete
  93. @faltu.. I emailed you too! Did you get it?

    ReplyDelete
  94. @ aL3xaNdRa

can you email me the answer to 13 (chess) - I don't think faltu got my email

@ lulu - the name begins with an "E" google this: fully functional prop computer

    ReplyDelete
  95. Enjoy, I answered your first mail, sending it again. May be it has gone to your spam folder?

Lulu, google brazil movie pc, you get it on third or fourth hit, the e.......

    ReplyDelete
  96. Enjoy, have you got it?

    ReplyDelete

Faltu - i didn't get your first one. thanks for the help, I would have NEVER gotten that one.

    ReplyDelete
  100. @ 14 is that a bottle of tequila with a worm in it?

    ReplyDelete
  101. for 14 - google tequila and look for the little creatures name

    ReplyDelete
  102. Stuck on 15. I think it has to do with the reflection of the oars .. not sure how to phrase it.

    ReplyDelete
  103. Pop on 15.. the answer consists of two words

    Spoiler clues below

Word 1: when something is lost it is.....?
Word 2: when you look in the mirror you see your ....?

    ReplyDelete
  104. Level 16 - two dominoes are missing, they make a date, look at the picture and google the date - something very famous happened on this date

    au revoir

    ReplyDelete
  105. Now stuck on 17..

I've read hints that says: "This furry gang depicts a movie..."

    ReplyDelete
  106. I guess I am the only one playing this??? All alone and stuck :)

    ReplyDelete
  107. I guess the movie is twelve monkeys.
Because there are 12 of them and the author of this riddle seems to be a fantasy/sf fan.
But no idea about the number to dial.

    ReplyDelete
  108. Ahh.. small-tool to the rescue. I got the 12 monkey movie also, but nothing is working. tried the main characters, actors. etc. Need to take a break for a while.

Glad you are back playing! :)

    ReplyDelete
  109. Well I found quite a few references about voice mail in the 12 monkey movie.. nothing working! argh

    ReplyDelete
  110. I think I read the whole screenplay by now and as what I understand he (Bruce Willis) has to call the voicemail of the scientists, but scientists or thescientists is wrong.
    So out of ideas now.

    ReplyDelete
  111. Well, I got 17. I was very strange. I googled the script and did "find" on the page for "phone number" then just read down until I found it. you are not looking for a person and it is not a number. It is who answers the phone once they make the call!

email me if you want the answer!

    ReplyDelete
  112. Oh yes, please do mail me.
Don't wanna read that whole script again and besides I only found the word 'phone number' once in the script and after that a big fight starts.

    ReplyDelete
  113. @small-tool

    I emailed you!

    ReplyDelete
  114. Thanks EnJoy,
Looking at the equation on level 18 now.

    ReplyDelete
  115. Is there anyone playing yet? I am lost with lotr language in 12

    ReplyDelete
  116. @small-tool. If you get the answer to the equation, I can help figure out the answer to the level.

    ReplyDelete
  117. Well If I did the math correct X = 50,228365etc. etc. And now what?

    ReplyDelete
  118. I will have to look at it later, leaving to run a few errands

    ReplyDelete
  119. Cris,
    Go to this site;

    http://lotr.wikia.com/wiki/Ring-inscription

You need the language it's written in.

    ReplyDelete
  120. thanks @S-T. I missed the part of...now, 13 I need my son to help me. maybe later

    ReplyDelete
  121. Finally on 19.
On 18 I forgot about negative numbers.
The other solution for X is -46,0855

    ReplyDelete
  122. Well 19 looks like an interesting chess problem, but I'm afraid it's gonna take more moves than level 13.

Have to do some things now, be back in about half an hour, to crack this one.

Btw Rambler, if you see this and still have posting problems, mail me. I had them too and found several solutions and one of them worked for me.

    ReplyDelete
  123. I'm back trying to solve 19.
I have no chessboard, but I hope I can do it in my mind.

    ReplyDelete
  124. ok small-tool.. you have to give me a better hint for 18 than just a negative number! :)

    ReplyDelete
  125. EnJoy,
    Now you have coordinates.
Go find that little island with the French name.

    ReplyDelete
  126. Yep I could solve it without having a chessboard.
    On 20 now.

For 19; White starts and the 5th move of white is checkmate.
Don't forget the 4th move of black is taking a piece so write it with x.

    ReplyDelete
  127. And really no idea at all what to do on level 20.
Googled a bit, but can't find anything at all.

Come on EnJoy, help me on 20.

    ReplyDelete
  128. @small-tool - I seem to be swimming in the Labrador Sea! Am I getting close to my little French Island?

    ReplyDelete
  129. Well, did the first letters trick on level 20 and found something but still very, very stuck.

    ReplyDelete
  130. EnJoy,
Switch coordinates. The first is the negative one.

    ReplyDelete
  131. -50.22836 and -46.0855?

This isn't working! so frustrated! I have tried all combinations

    ReplyDelete
  132. -46.0855 N and 50.22836 E should be working.

    ReplyDelete
  133. Ok.. now I am off of south africa, but need to look at a different map

    ReplyDelete
  134. Use Google Maps
    and fill in this;

    -46.0855, 50.22836

    ReplyDelete
  135. Oh, and hurry up, no pressure at all :)
But level 20 is driving me crazy, turned everything around but don't get anything at all.

    ReplyDelete
  136. Finally got it. couldn't find a map that would show the name!

    ReplyDelete
  137. well, I will help you with 20 but first email me 19.. I am too stupid for chess

    ReplyDelete
  138. I will mail you.
    But maybe you wanna try it first. And if not it's still a good hint for others;

With every move white makes he puts the black king in check.

    ReplyDelete
  139. Small problem, small-tool - I have NEVER played chess before! (as an adult)

    I was working on it and I got qf4, ka8, nc7,???

    Like I said, I haven't played since I was 10!

    ReplyDelete
  140. But you still got it EnJoy, those moves are right!
Anyway, you got your mail by now.

Btw. now I looked back at this chess problem and I think the author made a mistake. I think there's a better defence for black, but gonna look at that tomorrow, let's concentrate on level 20 now.

    ReplyDelete
  141. Nope, I was being stupid, thought black rook could take white knight at move 2 for a better defense, but it only leads to checkmate in 4 moves instead of 5.

    Back to 20.

    ReplyDelete
  142. @small-tool. I have to take a break now. My husband will be home from work soon and when he asks "what did you do today?" I can't really say that played riddle games with a strange man from Belgium all day! (strange as in unknown). LOL :)

Need to make dinner and I can't cook without drinking, so, I may not be of any use later tonight.

    ReplyDelete
  143. Tomorrow we will crack it.
Gonna play the new escape game and then off too bed.
Btw. tell your husband not to worry, I'm happily married and far, far away :)

    ReplyDelete
  144. 20 - Nord hints says there is a hidden sentence and that the word looks like a "non-sense" type word. I looked at it in Gimp but didn't find a layer or anything. Must have to do with de-coding.

Good night small-tool - opening a bottle of wine now :)

    ReplyDelete
  145. Stuck on level 12 -- got the right story and tried entering the name of the fictional language and the name of the ring and the name of the ring in the fictional language, but nothing's working

    ReplyDelete
  146. Hidden sentence is the first letters of every word.

    PuzzledinCA,
Use the site I posted somewhere above. It is the language and it starts with 'black'

    ReplyDelete
  147. @Enjoy and @faltu,

thank you very much to help me level 10...It was so exhausting to find...lol
Had found every same pic, but not finding the answer..
    Finally, got it...thank you...

    @PuzzledinCA
    You need 4 words....
I found it on wiki Tengwar...

Now I'm working on level 13...pfff...I hate it...lol

    ReplyDelete
  148. please, someone, for 13:

How do I need to put the answer? Its three numbers and three letters?or just the last place of destination?(1number and 1 letter)

    ReplyDelete
  149. Lulu,
    The first move is King to c7 so put in kc7 and then the others so the answer is;
    kc7......

    ReplyDelete
  150. @ lulu - three moves

letter-letter-number, x 3. I can give you the answer, but not explain it. Someone emailed me the answer

    ReplyDelete
  151. Level 20 - found the hidden sentence. Hint take the first letter of each word. Stuck after that!

    ReplyDelete
  152. ahh.. small-tool you have returned!

    ReplyDelete
  153. @lulu, thanks for level 12 -- I was just using 2 words (from the entry on One Ring).

    ReplyDelete
  154. Oh...yes...I was trying the 3 movements with number letter, without the first letter...thank you, @S-T @ Enjoy

    You're finishing...good job!

    ReplyDelete
  155. working more on 20. now that we found the hidden sentence and it told us what to do, do we rotate something and solve again? either the hidden sentence or the original sentence???

just throwing out some ideas out!

    ReplyDelete
  156. I am stepping away for awhile, I will check back later to see if anyone else needs help!

    ReplyDelete
  157. Enjoy, forget my Email, I got it...lol...
    Iwas wrong the last one...

    thank you anyway......

    ReplyDelete
  158. Lol Enjoy,
Just before I wanted to go to bed I checked this and finished the riddle, because you gave me some ideas.
Anyway it is the hidden sentence and 'turn' is used in two ways (backwards and last letters) and the answer doesn't make any sense at all till you see the congrats.

    ReplyDelete
  159. oh.. thanks small-tool. Will work on it tomorrow! I guess I was on the right track for once. Hopefully, I won't need to email you to finish this one!

    ReplyDelete
  160. Well, it was a good riddle on most of the levels but some of them were too far-fetched with Googling (like the device in the Brazil movie and the answer in the 12 monkey movie).
Don't feel like sending a mail to get into the hall of fame, not sure why, guess because the Nordinho guys finished first again and because on the index it says go to Nordinho for hints, while EG24 gives more and better hints.
Yep, I know it's childish, but that's my mood right now and I'm sure I regret posting this tomorrow.

    ReplyDelete
  161. This comment has been removed by the author.

    ReplyDelete
  162. Won't be able to finish -- have to pack for a trip to see my Dad in Georgia.

I think the only riddle game I enjoyed was the Sherlock Holmes one. Got farther in this than most, but only because of the helpful hints. Thanks, all!

    ReplyDelete
  163. Oops! I accidentally put the year in my earlier posting.

    Level 16 --
There were MANY battles and wars in that year in many parts of the globe. Very interesting history lesson. I tried many, not being able to pick One Major Event, and the picture means nothing to me.

    ReplyDelete

  165. On 16. you need to get the date from the missing dominoes. then you need to find a famous event that happened in that year. think french.. google the year with a particular country that I just mentioned. and you should have a major event in history

  166. @small-tool. I agree with you. mostly in Nordhino you get people pming the answer. rarely do you get a hint that you could use. We here at EG24 are the best!

  169. 17 was impossible. I just stumbled upon it .. dumb luck

the answer can be found here:
    http://www.dailyscript.com/scripts/twelve_monkeys.html

do a "find" search in the text (command or control "f") then enter "passerby" for the search word. the very next paragraph will have the answer in it. --- time to vacuum!

  170. 18 - solve the equation.. Small-Tool left excellent hints and the answer to the equation. then look at the picture that goes along with the equation.. (I had bit of trouble on this one too.) Look at again at small-tools hints, then if you still have trouble look at the clue in the riddle and it says "swine".. maybe look up another name for swine/pig in a different language. then google that term for pig along with the term for a small body of land surrounded by water and you should have the correct answer.

    Once again - au revoir

  175. Finished the riddle with the help of great clues left by Small-Tool and Enjoy. Thanks.

@Lulu, same as level 13, only this time 5 moves from white and four from black, i,e, you have to write nine letter number combination.

For 20 apply the acrostic trick to the hidden sentence but last letters and backwords, you will get a non-sence word, that's the answer.
