Sorry brogettenks I forgot the first m. Need lots of help, have part of screwdriver but need the bit.
Also opened a panel near clock but can't take key.
I'm so stuck. Found two +'s in the lower left corner of the cabinet with the two drawers, but still have to find the screwdriverhead.
Finaly found the scroll Guru was talking about. On the right sight of telephonetable is a small drawer.
Check the top, for a secret button, inside of the left bottom cabinet ;)
Yes, found screwdriverhead. I used Guru's first Kanjisign.
hiragana from bowls with caps in cabinet. Translation doesnt make much sense cause of multiple meanings. as read first from cap then from bowl.
1st(circle).sen-uranai (セン - うらない)
2nd(pentagon).ji-mizukara (じ - みずから)
3rd(square).han-soru (はん - そる)
4th(hexagon).kan-hosu (かん - ほす)
Dont know if something makes sense or is helpful
Words from bowls have a somewhat single meaning so here it is:
1.Fortune telling
2.Personal
3.to bend
4.to drain/to dry
hiragana under mat reads sanji (さんじ) which either means
3 o'clock

three times
and many other things that i dont think make sense here
after doing the W->E thing like GuruOne suggests click the button in the new panel to change it to
戻す, this will reveal a set of stairs to access the upper part of the closet
number hint under mat might be used on clock's window's corners not sure about the order of the corners though.
sliding door-lock is used with SD on the thing next to the exit door (corridor)

upon unscrewing the sliding door check inside right door lower part of the other part of the lock. Used with red cord to get magnet from corridor

You're not alone Brogettenks, I had to take a shower. I have two lightballs now, a red and a yellow. Red came from big white cupboard in second room and yellow from left side lock in corridor, use the thing you have from the cupboard and then normal screwdriver.

steamed buns from using moon key are placed in the cabinet that was tied with red cord.
Now it asks for something alse (あついおちや=atsui ochiya) (heavy pumpkin??)
I lost my first screwdriverhead in the right drawer above the bowls, don't know if that has any meaning.
@Jacq for red cord, use scissors on it, its tied on the handles of the cabinet on the room
I think you get 2nd part of SD after placing scroll on wall and unlocking the drawer under it
Screwdriverhead is in glas cabinet, you need the scroll first and then put the first sign in that Guru said in his comment above.
That changes each game, as do a lot of things here
Lol Brogettenks, I don't have the scissors yet. You way ahead of me. Didn't we use the bowls for the E W hint. I just followed Guru's numbers but don't know where they came from.

Remember that left drawer at glass cabinet opens by pulling the red plug below it (in cabinet view)
@Brogettenks, 13 means not thirteen but one and three, so 26 is two and six. Follow the numbers from 1 to 6. Lost my whole screwdriver so I think we don't need it anymore. Don't forget to unscrew the one in the toilet, you'll get a box. Going to find the scissors now.
The hint for the clock is under the mat that says "さんじ" (3 o'clock)
LOL, all parts of my screwdriver appeared in the right drawer again. Found scissors, never saw the button below the left drawer, did you opened the clock yet.
@Jacq, THX. Btw seems that items no longer usefull are placed somehwere (note for door is in garbage, corridor).
Green/Red thing goes to the key from clock and you get a different part for SD handle
USe the hexagon shaped thingy with SD handle, and open the "END" panel in the toilet and got a wooden box.
The shapes on the box correspond to the 4 bowls so i think the clue must be there
thing from toilet, behind End sign, goes on the corner of the drawers cabinet. Shapes on it indicated that the caps and bowls are connected to this somehow
Finaly found the red cord, combined it with lock from door but I can't get the key near the clock. The box where the second part of the screwdriver came from disapeared too. How did you get the key.
When you press the buttons on the wooden thing, they are all names of fish.
I think we need to use the bowl hint and combine the parts to form the Kanji..

We need Guru to translate (hack) the code for the drawercabinet. Still can't get key.

I used the L shape thing from the big white cupboard with the red cord, which sewer do you mean, the one in the hallway, I don't have the code for that one.
Okay, I worked out the code for the wooden box.

press the green button, and you'd get another set of hiragana, but you can now open the top drawer to get blue hose
Never mind found it under trashcan in hallway, this is realy a tidy game. Everything you don't need anymore is thrown away in the trashcan or the drawer. Try to catch up again but first I made some coffee, think I need it.
at the corridor move the garbage bucket and under it there is a sewer grid
Unfortunately, that drawer is a show-stopper
Why? Because I would have to paste here images of the entire set of 19 symbols and then match each set to the drawer codes...... (yes, it's possible, but it would take me ages)

Use blue hose with the tap, fill up blue bucket and got the sun key. Open the sun cupboard to get green bulb and tea cup.
now need to find a way to make hot tea...

Doesn't work for me neither.
The code changes each game, there are many possibilies. You will need to provide some idea of the mapping/solution/logic and that may be tuff
Play the game again, later and you will see what I mean
aahh sorry Brogettenks, I just saw your earlier comment and you are right, our hints are different.
Let me try to work out the answer to your code
My hints are:
Cap - Bowl
セン - うらない (same)
じ - みずから (same)
はん - そる
かん - ほす
Any ideas?
I brute forced it and, considering the first two are the same as mhtyhr's
the 3rd was: changed 2 times from the default
the 4th was: changed 4/5 times from the default (think i pressed 5 times but not sure XD)

Do you have a screenshot of the various options for hiragana hint on the bowl?
I think that the options for the answers are the same, but just that the hints are different.
Basically, the hint gives the "radical" (kanji part) for the correct Kanji.
e.g my first hint, せん/うらない refers to this character : 占
so in the answers, I just had to look for a kanji which has this radical, which is あゆ(鮎）

@mhtyhr, i didnt take note; changed it 2 times from the default if that is any help.
I use this, but if the translations are just how the symbols are read refreh cause you wont get the translation ofc. Also it has search for kanji by combination of basics.

No I don't know how to type Hiragana, found your sites but can't copy the symbols, so I still stuck with the drawers. Yellow lightbulb was in the left top of the big cupboard I think.
@Jacq, at the jisho site you can type hiragana ate the Japanese field as they are read from the pics i posted. Upon searching it will result a list of words or w/e option you chose were left are kanji, at middle are hiragana and at the right is translation

Okay, put the bulb in the safe in the drawer.
Rather than put my solution, in case the answer is different, here's how to work out the code:
Look at the jumble of characters.. it represents half of the Kanji of the color.
赤 ＝ Red
青 ＝ Blue
黄 ＝ Yellow
緑 ＝ Green
Put the bulb in the right order, close the door, press the red button.
Having trouble with the kanji in the book >.>
I'm getting confused now. What do I put in First in the drawer. Top line of the bowls or the second one. I don't get the answer you gave me, can't put those symbols in so I suppose I will get that if I put the wright line in.

Then, press the blue shapes until you see the characters you need.

@Jacq dont count the stroke with your eye, certain lines are continue from another counting as one not two. Instead use jisho to find them by searching with radicals
Same here Jacq XD, havent done anything yet so much to do. Kanji in book i think are words but you only care for their stroke numbers
LOL Brogettenks, you're talking Japanese to me. I'm not that good on PC, what is jisho? Counting, and counting, the symbols I have are not that difficult but still don't have the answer.

go here and try using the basic kanjis to make each kanji you see in the book when you have it click it (at the pool below) and there you will see its number of strokes

e.g 口 is made with 3 strokes

It should give the right answer from left to right, and top to bottom, not center-out like what I was trying earlier.. gonna give it another go

Hint: Start from the right side, because the 2 characters 外 and 脱 are interchangeable, so that makes it easier

Hi guys, I'm back and you're still stuck. Didn't find any keys outside but I have a whole box of Beaujolais Primeur, so let's toast. I'm trying the puzzle but then I read that I should begin at the right side. So I start over. Was allmost there but didn't notices that there are two caracters that don't move.

Sorry but I have to quit, I have to made dinner. Know what we are eating, LOL, selfmade spring rolls. I'm not sure if that't such a good idea, had a little to much Japanese/Kanji this day. Still can't figure out puzzle, when I changed it to difficult I don't know what order to put them in. I had it all finished except two, they had to swap places and I didn't figure out how. So I completely waisted a day on this game, I certainly will open my own bottle of wine later, good luck all, I will save my game so I can be back if I want.

Unfortunately, it's different..
And we actually need the full set. The way to solve this puzzle is to figure out the readings of each character, and see which are the ones that make up numbers.
For example, I might have a character 鉢 which is read as "hachi", which is also the reading for the kanji for the number 8.
We have to read it left to right from top to bottom

In Japanese, the kanji for these 3 days are written as:
日 (Sun), 土 (Saturn) and 月 (moon)
So just put in the key in that order

weird thing exit door doesnt have 5 kanji for every slot but 5,5,3,4.

It's not all kanji.
It's hiragana, katakana, and 2 kanji.
For those interested, the hint is from the cupboard where we put the hot tea.
After giving it hot tea, it says "でぐちでおわり" (It ends at the exit).
so we have to try to make the kanji for おわり which is 終
So just have to pick the parts that can be combined together to form this kanji.
