hi all
ewww math
lol...mean snowman in red house, well have to do math, no clues found
other houses need key, havent found anything yet
40 in first room, click right side answer
yellow key and something, yellow house now
well, which sign to press after putting in numbers= left or right
try to bf it :(
The math is easy... wait till ya get to the colour code.... :P
yellow room ...
i dont get it, the yellow number?? is it 3064 +1
Think of it more like number segments and flip it ;)
not getting it in yellow room
497 sue
the number is vertically reversed
*4978
??
no idea here maybe a little spoiler? :)
next one is 23
in green house
1 SB = 2 candles
2=3(2+1) 3=5(3+2) 4=8(5+3) 5=12(8+4) 6=17(12+5)
The addition of number is 1,2,3,4,5,6...
so 7=23(17+6)
r,y, bg or gb forgot
out i guess
LOL
the color code ... only click the button 1 2 3 4 times in each grid...
so directly out is only 1 out of the 2 ends...
*only for the mathematically interested - solve cake puzzle for random N * (N = number of cherries, identical to cake seq number)
I thought there must be a handy formula to get the number of candles without much trial-and-error - and yippieh, I found it!
However, it's a non-trivial formula because it is NOT (!) linear. I tried with a linear function first, but I failed, so I tried with a parabolic (**) one and ... YEAH!! success :))
Generic function is f(x) = ax² + bx + c
(x being a positive integer greater or equal than 1)
We know three values, so:
f(2) = 3
f(3) = 5
f(4) = 8
Getting the coefficients takes a bit of time juggling with equations, since we will need a bit of sophisticated Gauss magic, hence skipped.
Function is
f(x) = 0.5x² - 0.5x + 2
Try it out for x = 7 (candles on 7th cake)!
0.5 * 49 - 0.5 * 7 + 2 = 23 !
So for the 25th cake, we'd get
0.5 * 625 - 0.5 * 25 + 2 = 302 candles!
(**) Albeit parabolic, you are NOT supposed to draw a shiny and beautiful graph of a parabola from that! It would be nonsense, since there cannot be "fractions of candles!"
P.S. Teachers, wouldn't this make a nice problem for your students? =D
