I don't understand the meaning of SIZE
can you please explain a bit?

@ Lottie: If you look at the 'bigger/smaller' signs, you will notice that the numbers are not in their regular order. For example, 1 is "bigger" than 4. Start with the number that's marked the "biggest" in the order, and press all numbers in this order, then press enter.

9 to 8,
8 to 5,
5 to 6,
6 to 3, etc....

So first 4 numbers are 9856.....

Probably makes no sense.

Neither get heart clue nor clue with coloured shapes.

Hand from guy doll has screwdriver in it, use it first to remove vent before pushing it into the nose on the door (careful - dead end with panda.)

Can't find SD. Lydia, did you open the glass door with yellow/green buttons ??

@Drisana: Yes. Machine in second room gives clue.

Can't for the hell of it figure out those coloured shapes in the calendar. They're probably to do with the coloured numbers in the passage behind the vent, but I can't solve it. It's probably something obvious, though.

Roberto 2431 is the order. Put it with signs (directions) on wall above drinking guy.

It doesn´t work.
Tried this way from left to right:
1) 3 clicks
2) down
3) up
4)7 clicks.

Wonder is the paper with grid hint is related with safe on shelf... it's a 7*6 grid clue and the safe is 7*5...

Got the heart/grid box, but don't know why ....
I draw the heart like on hint but reversed (4 = bottom) and without drawing the first line (with the "1")

Take fly man (?) on beer and the green plant guy gave me a lea. Now i think he's giving clue with hands ;)

put fly guy in hole in vent (with colored #) he attacks the panda :)

2nd end, now you can go out without getting the panda. Puzzles remaining so this is not best end.

Used the same pattern as you post, but nothing happens in my heart puzzle.

and when you escape without panda and with the moving~~ doll -- perfect end

Ho, but my fly man is no longer avalaible since he killed the panda... can't take another one on the beer glass... do i have to restart ? :(

How to use fly man again? I used it once and it´s dimmed in inventory, and can´t get another one.

Ok you have to USE the fly guy on woman FIRST then you can take another one !!

Well, didn't like this too much because some of the decisions you make are final...you have to restart to see the other endings. So BEFORE USING THE HAND AND THE FLY, SAVE THE GAME.

1st end : panda end trough the nose door
2nd end : escape trough the nose door killing the panda (red signs)

I'm with you nokra...I don't understand a darn thing either

for some reason, you have to enter the correct code on the guy's kneepad before you can open the cabinet with the beer inside. Even if you put in the correct code for the cabinet, it won't work until you've taken care of kneepad guy.

I don't understand the hint for the guy's knee pad... am I the only one with no brains skills this morning?

The WWEBIDSEVW (worst walkthrough ever because i don't speak english very well)

FIRST ROOM

- You can see a locked door and 2 guys behind a glass door with YELLOW AND GREEN CODE.

Turn right.
- CLick on koala man and look at the shiny smile :) Above him are SYMBOLS we'll need later for the machine (call it 10 o'clock 5 o'clock 12 o'clock 6 o'clock 3 o'clock). Also note the empty GLASS.

Turn right
- Look at the shelf :
There is a BOOK with hints (left hint goes with symbols above koala man, right hint is for red man to unlock door). There is a LOCKED BOX and a SAFE too.
- Look at plant man, disturbed by fly men !
- Click bed and take BATTERIES full of....mmmm... maybe it's better not to know what's on it ! :)

Turn right
- Zoom in on Red and blue men. Remember the hint in the book ? click numbers in right order and unlock the door. (you have to sort numbers like this : 9>8>5>6....)

- ZOom on TV : take hint (for safe on shelf) and note position of men (1up 2 down).

Go back to the shelf
- zoom on the safe. You have to draw there a heart according to the hint we had on tv. On the hint, there is a "1", on the safe a "4" so you have to draw it upside down. forget about the first line of hint cause we have only 5 row on safe (6 on hint)

- Zoom out, open safe and take beer.

Go back to koala man
- Zoom on glass. Put beer in it. go back zoom again and take a fly man !

Go to plant guy !
- Hey no more fly men ! He's happy and gives you a leaf.

Go back to koala man
- Give him leaf, he gives you a hint. (this is for the box on shelf).

Now it's time to discover the other room.
!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! SAVE NOW CAUSE THERE ARE 3 ENDINGS !!!!!!!!!!

MimosaStar: You have to rearrange the numbers from highest to lowest just as the note in the book says. But not the real highest, the hint in the book has its own logic. You have to start with number 9, because the hint says so (the 9 in a circle in the last row). Then look what pair of numbers starts with a 9. It is the 8<9 pair. Then look for a pair with 8 in it. It is the 5<8 pair, then look for the 5 and so on. So the whole number is

Woops, Drisana was faster with the walkthrough than I was with my lousy comment! Wow! And as far as I can judge it is a GWBTEIPG (great walkthrough because the english is pretty good).

Detarou Through
this WT will only take you to one end, others will be avoided

Go Left twice, to the bookcase. Zoom on the books and have a look at the Diary. Go straight to the last page for a couple of clues. The page with the numbers and the < and > signs is the clue for the guy with the keypad on his kneepad. You have to go through and figure out the order of the numbers from largest/greatest to smallest/least. For example, 0>E means the zero comes just before the enter key. Then 7>0, so seven comes just before zero. So go to Keypad Kneepad guy and enter the code.


SPOILERS9P8O5I6L3E2R1S4P7O0LERSPOILER followed by the Enter key.

Watch as his Buddy in Blue is horrified by what he sees, and notice that what happened to Keypad Kneepad guy caused the door lock to open.
** the Keypad Kneepad guy must be dealt with before doing anything with the code box on the bookcase. **

Have a look at the TV and take the Clue Note that's taped to it. Make a mental note of the positions of the three guys on the TV: Up, Down, Down.

Go to the bookcase and compare the Clue Note to the display on the locked cabinet door. The "4" indicates direction, so you must enter the pattern from the Clue Note from bottom to top, and eliminate the very top line for some reason. So, the pattern is

Press the white button, back up and open the cabinet and take the Bottle of Beer. You may also want to apologize to old St. Nick for smashing his nose. Or not, it's up to you.

Go Left and zoom on the beer mug and fill it with Beer. Back up and you'll see there is now something on the beer mug. Zoom on it again and, ewww! flies! So take one, but know that you must use it wisely!
While you're here, tap on the koala's shoulder and he'll turn around a give you a smile. Back up and note the Direction Circles on the wall behind Mr. Koala.

Go Right and you'll see that Mr. Eucalyptus Head is grateful that you got rid of the flies and is offering you something as thanks. It's a Eucalyptus Leaf. Take it and give it to Mr. Koala and he'll give you Clue Note 2. Take it and proceed through the unlocked door to the next room.

Whoa, @Drisana beat me to it, lol! I'll just leave off where I ended since she has finished the WT (EDGDTWT - Every Detarou Game Deserves Two WTs)

But....what do we do when we get to the next room?????
I have things to use and my game does not say to be continued....do you mean the WT is tbc? lol

Seems we left off at the same spot, so I'll just continue along...

Room Two

Check out the Calendar and make a note of the colors and orientation of each shape.

Go Left to the man reading the paper and the Sleeping Woman. Put the Fly Guy on the woman and watch what happens. Take the Toy Body.
** This step must be completed before you use Fly Guy for anything else. You can get another Fly Guy after using him on the Sleeping Woman, but if you use him anywhere else first, you're stuck with no more Fly Guy. **

Back up and go left or right twice to the Machine. Zoom on the keypad and set the round switches according to the Diary clue and the positions of switches on the wall behind Mr. Koala. Then set the lower 3 switches according to the hint on the TV.



SPOILER
Left to Right, the round switches are set at 3 o'clock, 11 o'clock, 6 o'clock and 5 o'clock. The lower switches are set Up, Down, Down.

Now a bored Man comes out of the machine and places a ladder under the wall vent. Also, Green and Yellow Men pop up from the machine in a specific pattern: GYYGYGG

Go back to the first room and enter this code on the Green and Yellow Buttons under the big window with the two guys behind it. Zoom on the manakin and click on his hand, then take the hand and see that it's a Screwdriver! One might even say it's a Handy Screwdriver. :o}

Before returning to Room 2, take another Fly Guy off the beer mug. Back in Room 2, climb the ladder and use the Screwdriver to remove the vent cover and go on inside. Go Left and you'll see a hole surrounded by four colored numbers. Make a note of the numbers and their colors, then release Fly Guy into the hole. Ha ha, take that Mr. Panda!
** Note: if you go through the hole without the Fly Guy you will meet an untimely end at the hands of Mr. Panda. **

Go Left and through the Vent hole to get back to Room 2, then go to Room 1. There is a locked box on the center shelf of the bookcase. Enter the four digit code and open the box and take the Toy Head.


SPOILER The four digit code is derived from the shapes on the calendar and the colored numbers from the vent, combined with the Clue Note 2 from Mr. Koala. Note the position of the triangle on the calendar and the clue note! The code is
SP5O9I2L8ER.

Place the Toy Head on the Toy Body then look at the bottom of the Toy and you'll see that you need batteries. So go to the bed and turn back the covers. You'll find a plate full of spaghetti with two Batteries hidden in the noodles and sauce. Take the Batteries and put them in the toy.

Return to Room 2 and go back into the vent. Go Right and place the now activated Toy on the shelf where the arrow is pointing. You'll see a wall move. Continue on around until you see the door, then go through it for The End!

** you'll notice that the Handy Screwdriver is still active in inventory. This is because it can be used on the Nose on the door in Room 2 for a Bad End. **

SECOND ROOM

- Zoom on calendar : Hey same symbols on paper hint ! let's keep it for the moment...

- A vent (we can't enter now) and a big big machine. Let's zoom !
Dials and lever hmmm... Remember the book ? 2 4 . 3 1 --> remember symbols ? 10 o'clock 5 o'clock 12 o'clock 6 o'clock 3 o'clock

10 5 12 6 3
So first dial is 3 second 10 etc. For the lvers, think about men in tv.

- We got green and yellow popping men. Does that remind a bell ? By the way we also have a ladder under the vent. Dawn, where's the handy SD ?

Go back to first room, glass door.
- unlock the door with code from popping men.

- take the SD from left guy's hand. Well take his hand ;)

SAVE YOUR GAME this is the first end.

Go to the 2nd room
- You can get out of this always strange world by putting the SD in the nose door....
END 1 : the evil panda

But i don't want to end now !! OK ! let's continue our travel....


- Unscrew the vent with the SD. Enter and turn right. You can see a place to put a doll.

Turn right 2 times
- you see colored numbers. Mmmmmm same colors as calendar's shape !


!!SAVE FOR END 2 !!!!!

-Put the fly man on the "window" between the colored numbers, he kills the panda !!!
For END 2 : use SD on nose door and go out w/o evil panda!

!!!!! WARNING PUTTING THE FLY MAN IN THE WINDOW WILL AVOID 3RD END !!!!!
I STILL WANT TO CONTINUE !!!!
OK,ok let's go !


Go back first room --> shelf --> code box
- Code is square, triangle upside/down, star and circle. IE red, green u/d, yellow blue. Enter code

You get doll head.

Go to 2nd room
- go to see the man reading with the woman sleeping. Give her the fly man. You can now take the doll's body. Combine with head and put batteries in it.

Go back in vent
- put doll in the wall, hey ! a new door ! :)
- click door
END 3


Note : after you took the doll's body, you can go back to beer glass and take another fly man to put it in vent windows and kill the panda. but it doesn't make any difference for 3rd end !!

Lot of walktrough :) People will have to sort hihihihi :)

Finally, the panda gets his comeuppance!

@Drisana, I agree with nokra, there isn't anything at all wrong with your english and your WT was great! I just wish I had seen it before I wrote mine, but then EDGDTWT!

I love to write loony [and always lengthy] walkthroughs for Detarou's exquisitely crazy games, but I think the two fine submissions by Drisana and zoz are more than enough =D Thanks, peeps!
I MUST point out my favourite bits though - Smacking the giant red face in the nose with the cupboard door [repeatedly, of course - how could I tear myself away from THAT?], and the man of the reclining pair whacking the woman over the bum with his paper to swat the fly dude [I had to replay JUST to listen to the Cramps: "Human Fly", simultaneously]. Check out the man's little quivering mouth, too, when she's pounced on him.
I've so far got FOUR endings:

1, bad] shove the shop dummy's hand up the door's nose-lock [another delightful moment, haha] and fall into evil panda's trap.

2, better] Assemble the peg doll so that it is writhing disgustingly in your inventory [no one can imagine how much I HATE that maggotty thing!!!], place it on its spot in the alcove and out through the new door behind the wall which opened. You get no red "seal" with this end, so you know there's another.

3, bad] Assemble the peg doll as end #2, place it but ignore the wall and go back to the nostril-lock door. Exit and blunder into the trap again. [Doesn't that panda get on your nerves?]

4, BEST - with red "seal"] Assemble the peg doll [ugh!] place it on its spot, ignore the sliding wall and turn twice, put your second fly guy through the hole [you used the first in the reclining couple scene and went to get another], he sorts that panda out [for this game, at least], THEN go back to the nostril door, poke the fingers up the nose and GO OUT HERE.

=D =D =D

I confused myself there - FOR THE BEST END, you CAN'T put the peg doll into the alcove or your exit will be cut off. It has to be writhing in your inventory. Enjoy!

DUH!!! [*headdesk] You can take it back from the alcove if you can't resist the compulsion to place it. Phew.

Good catch Rook' with the exit cut off, had the same "problem" but I took the freedom to do without seal (just like Heidi now)

Seriously I think that this Detarou game FINALLY got back to the original weirdness, whilst I found some of the latest ones rather "normal" (in terms of Detarou's usual "mind").

Loved the fly men with the office-style suitcases - ROFL!
