haha, nice idea how to find pw for computer

but I guess its a huge language barrier then...

lol...found the magnifier AFTER i found pw for pc...

hihi

well that was it;

have paper with 1 number hint, magnifier

need: to understand text in pc, 4 digit code for safe, 3 digit code for safe behind wall hanging..and maybe an SD to remove paper with yellow dots from wall

zoomin in window didnt get me further

any1 smarter?

Nope, I'm stuck at the same place. Ah well - we tried!

Oh, I did get an ink-blot or something off the wall hanging.

in pc text you can make out 3 numbers. 2, 5, 8

as paper hint in inventory shows a 5

I try to use those 4 numbers

got it too... now the wall hanging sign looks different...i dont understand this stuff
i quit

       Anonymous  5/23/12, 2:17 AM

it says 9 after you take the ink off, but i dun get wat it says on the pc

Not getting anywhere - will come back later to see if any interpreters have been here!

The wall hanging said "circle" before removing the piece. Now it sais "nine", which might work for 3-dig code. Need yellow and red.

I got one ending. Blew up computer by entering pw without ; at the end.

safe code

**8513**

Openend the safe with some brute forcing.
From the pc i got 8000.
From the note on left side of safe is 0500.
So I started with 85.. then bruteforced. I think the answer was 8513.
Got two items and new text on pc.

use black part of the letter on colour code panel

I have yellow number from the wall, and red number in bottom of bowl, but cant enter anything into the 3-dig panel.

Did you use the letter part on the 3-dig panel megi? I can't.

mango
use it over the enter button

Thank you! I didnt see that thin darker area on the right side of the "hole" above the enter button. Now the panel works.

And out with both endings now.

Thanks but why 13 ?(85 found) is bruteforced or missed something, please?

I don't know seb. Maybe the clue is in the text on the computer.

Ok, thanks Mango

Btw, don't place the grey part from the wall poster on the 3-dig panel until after you use it on the yellow circle from the wall (removed with tool from safe).
When you see a number in left yellow circle, place it by window to see another number in right circle.

And its not possible to eat the food from the bowl from safe until you look at the computer again, after opening safe.

I used part of hammer to take yellow circle card after I placed black part of letter on the pannel

OK, got value for red circle and value for yellow circle now.

Where's the gray circle number?

I think until I've found it the number panel will keep on showing no reaction at all.

I think,to see the number we have to use card with
circle on the window, we don't need part of the letter

Sorry @megi, you're right. To see the 9 in left circle you just need to click that circle. Then place the paper in the window to see the 2.
I thought I used the part of letter to see the 9, but i was wrong.

@arbeitslooser, the grey number is on the wall poster. That japanese letter is a number 9.
To make the panel work, place the part of the letter you got from poster in the code panel (like megi told above).

"Part of letter" you mean that thing someone called "ink blot" above?

Yes I got that, but I have no idea where to place that in the blue-gray-red code panel. I "just" want to activate that panel. I think we're talking about two different things :)

AHHH! Huge thanks to mango. Sometimes it helps reading older posts, even when they make such a mess.

I had missed that "secret area" next to the button above the "ENTER" pad. Activated! My, my (bout time dammit! :P)

HOT HINT (for all "newcomers")
-------

The "number" on the bottom of the bowl (you can inspect once you've finished your meal) is *NOT* a "5" (even though it looks like that). It's a Japanese character.

This has been puzzling me for some time. (and no, I'm not in CA muhaha)

TY @puzzling arbeitlsooser... for the hint....but...could someone just spoil the exit code...everything else is spoiled...lol

If red is not 5 what is it?

And POP did it again.....
actually, I just bf'ed it....red is 8

See, that's the difference between a hint and a spoiler. :)

If I had wanted to spoil the number, I would have done it. ;) But you don't need to know advanced Japanese knowledge to suss it out...

*clicky*
