Hello Nokra, i was stuck with Zoz and Grzegania in the dream house ;)
There is japanese hint behind picture with "dvdv" and 83.

Yep....will need lots of help here.......
back later when more ppl have been....

Too much for me right now, sorry...I won't be ANY help! lol

I bruteforced the star drawer and got a doll. But still at the same point :)
SPbottomOInothingLEupperrightR

435 for drawer below (again bruteforce) to get SD

And i give up, no interest in BF. each code :(

BF'd the locker to the right of the blue screen SPAOIXLE#R but that's no fun

somehow finally got the trash can to flip over and got a clue but no clue what it means.

Are the little square symbols (look like stamps?) on 3 walls representing Zodiac?

Picture, on left side of 3-drawer cb, has clue in Japanese(of course)on back side

Still need corner order for Large picture centered on same wall

hi
the shapes on the large picture look like CDVB

there are CD DVD boxes in the pink CB,clue for the picture

click on the picture corner in this order

SHORT WALKTHROUGH

get rod and picture,get key behind picture,plug the rod on the switch right the door,switch down and look at the wall with the 4 grey dots,click on button below the dots,get the color hind for the box,get japanese coin,push on button in the same order,open box...

thanks for help, no idea for hint 5 digit code?

get hint for number, roma, telephone code from bottom of trashcan.
get bottle
note codes from CD cases (dvdcdbd). Note the picture with the guy on the camel has the cresent moon, half moon, plant and shoes(?).
order: halfmoon,plant,halfmoon,cresent,halfmoon,shoes,halfmoon)
take picture (flip picture for key) and handle.
use handle on yellow box next to glass door. make sure handle is all the way down. use key on bottom of purple cupboard. take odd box.
go left.
press button next to sequence of black button. note the colours:yygrgbyr.
use code on little colour box from bookcase.
get coin from box.
use coin on bottom set of drawers (use it on the corner hinge). get string.
use string on coin. click on cupboard in ceiling. use string and coin on hatch and click the button that pops up when all the red bars are filled.
take exam papers and combine with paper on wall (code is 43.5, no I don't remember how I did the math, I suck at it so god only knows what I did to get the answer)
take screwdriver
use screwdriver on panel near pink door.
use screw driver on green panel under big screen. take battery. place battery in strange brown box. press button. this turns on the 'close open' panel next to the blue door (you get left and right buttons)
now stuck...

re-check the white box, use code
eenwnsew (points of arrow, use flashing flights as compus), take doll.
use doll on brown box with battery
I swear, I think the NHFA is actually to be converted into numbers for the big display beneath the TV, but my code 14861 does not work...

found 94615 on chinese forum

probably hint given by karateman eyebrow in 2nd room

Whoo hoo! Thanks Seb!!! :D

I still can't get into the second room though... :(

We need a light for the lamp to get the code for the last star box (where, according to Drisana, we get another doll, which probably goes on the brown box). Which I suspect will dance left and right and give code to get into other room. The only lights available are the 4 that give the code for the box... but how to get them....

I can't figure out how to get the lightbulb :x. So using Drisana code) put little seated man on brown box next to standing man. Put green hat on seated man, press button:
code for door rlrlllr.

put handle on yellow box on middle and karate man can break the bottle

hmm you can FLIP the picture with the "83" on, I hope I'm not telling things you already know...

Karate Man does NOT work. He needs power, check left of the case he resides on/in.

Seems we got to find a power cord or something like that.

take red plate from floor (use screwdriver to unscrew it), examine red plate, flip it over and place on wall next to door.

6537 on the floor safe. I forget but somehow I have a drill plugged in.

Also, I think you can take his right eyebrow O_O

Karate man works with the switch outside set in the middle. Still need a key for the safe in the second room.

Thanks Mezman!!!
I've got the drill and one last clue, but I can't read japanese and I have no idea what the front and back of the white page mean :(

I've also got my marble...

I have a drill, a silver disc with blue and red petals or whatever and that white page. No idea what that poster means. No idea of the thing you put the red panel on. You can hear the drill working on certain areas if the switch is in the middle. Also no light bulb.

Yes switch must be in the middle, just figured out too ;)

Wow just took the red panel off and used drill on it and put it back.

Yes? My red panel won't budge anymore.

BTW, I also have a ladder that I have never used. (At least I assume so)

I can't my red panel off of the wall :x

You have a ladder in your inventory? You would have used that in the first room in the same scene as the 5 digit code.

SS did you take the panel and and drill it and put it back on and now has a black arrow around it? If so we are in the same boat.

Mezman, mine already came with the black arrow around it.

Black arrow? Now I get it, you don't need the drill for that. ;)
Already got that when I flipped the panel just after unscrewing it.

About the ladder, well I think it worked without, simply by throwing my disc-on-a-string towards the handle of the ceiling hatch. (I assume it's meant to reach the hatch)

How did you get a drill?

IIRC drill was inside the compartment opened by the 5-digit code (needs battery inserted to activate code panel)

Red panel clue used on four cabinet doors to get lightbulb.

@shadowkisaten, how did you make that work??? Thanks!

Nice job so the O and C stand for open and close.
Open TL, BL, BR, close BL, close TL, open TR, close BR, and open BL. Hope I got that correct.

You did!

Drilled myself a key, opened small wall cabinet, found security access card.

Finally out...
...NOT!

Now stuck at final panel with 4 buttons and "password".
(Warning: You had better forget about the thought of brute-forcing this...)

Got it (hacking)

Look at poster NHFA, so imagine the buttons as if they were labeled "N", "H", "F", "A".
The combination is "HNNFAFFA" or if you insist on numbers as labels,
"1", "2", "3", "4"

2 - 1 - 1 - 3 - 4 - 3 - 3 - 4
And you're OUT!

Thanks for the last code!

how did you drill yourself a key?
I've put the little disc on the floor where it said 'start' and it rolled on the floor and now is in another place but i can't do anything.

:)

- switch (lever) to middle position
- have drill connected using extension cord
(Instructions: connect extension cord to electrical socket left hand side of "Karate Man", then (!) go through - to the other part of the building - and plug in drill in the receptacle that's now on the floor)

- SELECT (!) drill when zoomed on disc

Huzzah!!!! Thanks guys!!!
Hey arbeitslooser, if your still around, could you figure out how to hack the hanging test result picture? Because there's one last space for items...

OMGOMG!!!! I got the last item!!!
After you open the door, DO NOT GO THROUGH!
Instead, return to the Karate man and click on his other eyebrow to get ship ticket! For different ending! :)
Also, I think the game is actually timed...?

Sleepy, you're a GENIUS! I would never have thought there was a 2nd ending in this! TY!

Anyways, I'd like to do a WT (I've already prepared one TBH) but I'll need some more info:

1. what do you need the ladder for, actually?
2. what is the logic behind the floor panel? (6xxx code, cord inside)
3. what is the logic behind the wall compartment with the green digits? (9xxxx code, drill inside)
4. what is the deeper sense of these Chinese zodiac posters spread all around the building, some of them repeating themselves? (e. g. rooster)
5. what do the three strange dolls (fat, big, dog) represent? For a moment, I thought you should build a sensible phrase from it ("big fat dog", like a basic English test for Japanese people ;)) but that sounds way too silly...

I can't just write in "The code is XYZ" without explaining why, that'd be silly.

Hi arbeitslooser!!!
1&2:
You need the ladder to climb into the ceiling in order to get the cube. The cube, which you can spin around, is actually used for the code for the floor panel (on one sheet it says red > pink) and something that = 7. There is also a colour code of squares.
3: I honestly have no idea, I think its to do with the scratchies we get, but I'm not sure.
4: I think that might mix with the floor code (the green trap door), as there are some colours like red. Maybe it's red phoenix's are > to pink. Again, I honestly have no idea.
5: You know, I think the three dolls are connected with the hint on the back of the test picture frame. But I only speak English and can read a little German and some French so that's the extent to my knowledge :(

I suppose what you could do, is to replay the game and see what items are 'closed off' when you solve a specific puzzle.
I know I did the floor one puzzle and suddenly my coin was unusable :x

Thanks for your insights! Helped me a lot, so now let me help YOU...(though the actual helper was NCIKU)

On the back on the test picture, you can read a 平均点 (heikinten). This means "average mark", so it's a hint how to calculate the average mark from the marks you get on the other tests. So no (though I thought it too at first!)

There is an interconnection between the scratch cards and the floor panel, that's for sure, because as you were pointing out, you can take the "USED" stamp as an indication of a relation between items. And these two cards got the "USED" stamp once I had that panel open.

Thanks for the cube - I MISSED THAT ONE!!
Now even the colors on the back of the scratch cards *might* make some sense...we'll see...

Thank you!!!!!!! :D
I had been pulling my hair out over the writing on the back of the frame because I also thought there was a keyhole in the top of the frame and somehow they might have been connected, or connected with the three dolls.

Wikipedia comes to my rescue...

"Hit" and "Out" are baseball terms!!
Which fully correspond to what is written in Japanese on the scratch cards:

WIKI #1 (jap) - hit (baseball)

WIKI #2 (jap) - out (baseball)

Now there is the problem I'd understand from baseball quite as much as an athlete from politics...

OK, bingo, it's INDEED the color cube that helps to find the code for the floor panel!

Flip side of GREEN card shows:
CODE = | or | pi | (cy + pu) | (gn + peach)

Flip side of PURPLE card shows:
-with every cube, sum of pips on one side and its opposite side is 7 (though we already knew that! ;)),
-ORANGE is greater in value than PINK.

So, what else do we have?

- First, use coin with hole on both scratch cards and scratch EVERY field.. (...even considering you will make them INVALID that way for participating at a lottery or whatever else (For IRL, you may only scratch 3 valid fields, and none of the others must be scratched!))

- COUNT the HIT (ヒット) fields PER COLOR.

- So you get:

-GREEN card: 4 hit fields
this means that GREEN = 4!
-PURPLE card: 2 hit fields
this means that PURPLE = 2!

- Now look at the color cube in order to get the rest of the numbers.

1. PEACH is opposite of GREEN, and you know sum must be 7, GREEN was 4 - so this means PEACH is 3!
2. PINK is opposite of PURPLE, and you know sum must be 7, PURPLE was 2, so PINK must be 5!

First step:

PURPLE = 2
PEACH = 3
GREEN = 4
PINK = 5

Now we also know that ORANGE must be greater than PINK. The greatest value of a pip is 6, so ORANGE got 6!
Opposite side is CYAN, so finally CYAN is 1!

-----------
FINAL LIST
-----------
CYAN = 1
PURPLE = 2
PEACH = 3
GREEN = 4
PINK = 5
ORANGE = 6

And here's the...

Remember:
ORANGE = 6
PINK = 5
GREEN = 4
PEACH = 3
PURPLE = 2
CYAN = 1

Flip side of GREEN card showed:
CODE = | or | pi | (cy + pu) | (gn + peach)

hence

CODE = | 6 | 5 | (1 + 2) | (3 + 4)

-----------------------
CODE = | 6 | 5 | 3 | 7
-----------------------

OK, now the

THIS IS ABSOLUTELY INSANE! To get at least a tiny clue, I had to search through about 5 blogs!
(most in Japanese and thus usually resulting in a horribly bad translation)

Anyways, it's done!!

This game is FANTASTIC, just in a "wrong" language! ;)

Consider that the 5-digit code is EXTREMELY hard to explain without a picture, and so I hope everyone will get what I am on about.

In the upper left door of the 4-door cupboard (the one you also get the LIGHT BULB from), you get a strange flyer type-of leaflet.

What it shows is almost (!) the solution to the 5-digit code, but only almost!

The "digital 8" you see is the bird's eye view of the two rooms, with the BLUE door in the center and the PINK door leading out to the north into freedom.

You have probably wondered why there were so many "strange animals" on large stickers fixed to the wall. These ARE the clue to the puzzle, but how??

Well, each "digit bit" you see on the flyer (except the center one with the blue door) represents a WALL with cards.

------------------
CARDS AS FOLLOWS:
------------------
see also:
Four Symbols (CN mythology)
as well as
Qirin (Chinese unicorn)

The Qirin is not part of the Four, but you need to know what it is to find it on the cards/stickers.

----------------------------------------
FOUR SAINT BEASTS
(each protecting one section of Japan)
(Besides, where the hell were they when Fukushima happened??!)
----------------------------------------

- Black Tortoise (NORTH) (J: genbu, 玄武)
- Azure Dragon (EAST) (J: seiryū, 青龍)
- Vermilion Bird (SOUTH) (J: sujaku, 朱雀)
- White Tiger (WEST) (J: byakko, 白虎)

plus...

- Qilin (J: kirin, 麒麟)

(NB: The White Tiger looks a bit like a fierce kind of cat, just telling that you can find him on the cards.)

Now you have to do the following:

Walk around the room and note down where the various beasts are AND WHERE NOT.
(Hey, do not start counting anything, this is no Tesshi-e! ;))

Seriously, if you imagine a digital 8 looking like this:
-.-.-.-
|_ _ _|
|°°°°°|
-------

you could assign the wall marked in bold to a "1" or a "3" or whatever.

So that's what I did:

- upper bit of digit (-.-.) gets a "A"
- the adjoining walls get a "B" (right" and a ("C" (left)
- center bit of digit (blue door) gets NOTHING
(but must be drawn later, remember that!)
- right wall below the center digit gets a "D"
- left wall below the center digit bit gets an "E"
- lowest bit of digit (----, this is the wall with the locker that needs yellow key) gets an "F"

So now what we have to do is make a "hit table":
("hit" stands for "animal is on one of the cards at this location)

ANIMAL | APPEARS AT|DIGI
qilin | ABCDF.....| 9
|
v.bird | ACDF......| 6
|
w.tiger | ACDF......| 5
|
a.drgn. | BD........| 1 (**)
|
b.tort. | BCD.......| 4

(**) possible game bug: you have to write the center digi-bit for each number BUT this one. This was a bit illogical to me.

--- CONTINUED IN NEXT POST---

This comment has been removed by the author.

So this gets us:

v. bird (sujaku) (digital) 6
w. tiger (byakko) (digital) 5
a. drgn. (seiryu) (digital) 1
b. tort. (genbu) (digital) 4
qilin (kirin) (digital) 9

PHEWWW!

I guess you agree it was hard enough to get to this point.

Now we have the numbers 6, 5, 1, 4, 9 which need to be put into right order. ALPHABETICAL order (hint leaflet on the right eye of Karate Man, showing "A to N" in Japanese, which means the same as "A to Z" in Western world)

Yes, as if it wasn't already tuff enuff, we're now going to need a Kana table (Hiragana/Katakana) to solve this last bit.

sujaku (V.B.) = 3rd row, 3rd col

byakko (W.T.) = 6th row, 6th col

seiryu (A.D.) = 3rd row, 4th col

genbu (B.T.) = {k+m'sign}enbu = 2nd row, 4th col
(Though consonants with mellow signs are shown in separate columns in Wikipedia Katakana table, they are not considered having their own rows as I had to learn)

kirin (Q.) = 2nd row, 2nd col

Hence...(are you still with me? ;))

kirin - 1st - 9

genbu - 2nd - 4

sujaku - 3rd - 6

seiryu - 4th - 1

byakko - 5th - 5

HOOORAAAY!
And here we have it, our final code for the panel.

You can believe that even Japanese people asked the same question about 10-15 times how to get to this code.

MAN ALIVE!!
Now this was really PURELY INSANE. (but fun :))

Arbeitslooser,

I am in awe.
Excellent work!!! :D :D :D!!!

This comment has been removed by the author.

Wait, I'm not yet finished even. :)

First, some errata (though only one little mistake in reading my sheet of paper)

In the above "hit table" it must be

v.bird | ACDEF......| 6

-

OK. Come to think of it, since spatial orientation is a bit of a problem for many folks here, I've decided to explain what walls I have assigned letters to: (animals on cards in parentheses)

"A" is wall of 1st room with PINK DOOR (Q/VB/WT)
"B" is wall of 1st room with buttons and HATCH (Q/AD/BT)
"C" is wall of 1st room with drawers and FRAMED EXAM SHEET (Q/VB/WT/BT)
"D" is wall of 2nd room with KARATE MAN (Q/VB/WT/BT/AD)
"E" is wall of 2nd room with FLOOR SAFE and 4-door cupboard (VB only)
"F" is wall of 2nd room with LOCKER (you need yellow key for that) (Q/VB/WT)

Now that should be more self-explanatory (I hope).

Thanks to an anonymous hint I now finally know why we could only solve the drawer with star code by brute-forcing!

You CANNOT solve this "normally" without knowing any Japanese kanji.
You have to find the visual (!) differences between the Kanji characters of "fat", "big" and "dog".

fat = 太 (small stroke at the bottom, so BOTTOM)
big = 大 (no extra stroke, so NOTHING)
dog = 犬 (extra stroke at the upper right, so UPPER RIGHT)
