found a battery under the bed, some clues I don't understand on the wall, and something in the trash, but I still don't read Japanese

same here Philomena... also a key inside funny face box that opens purple book for a picture.... all books have stuff in them.... don't know how to use battery of picture...

Also found color clue in book, but also in Japanese. Giving up

same here, maybe language barrier... yellow box needs code but no idea...

flipped picture for more Japanese... and a wooden peg?

LOl laura I have got that far just now... Not sure but I think I clicked green thing when picture...

Huh i just used peg where I got it from below purple book and now it is gone?

I can't get that peg... it won't come to me... its stuck in that box with music...

and if you click the calendar, its written 27 below... but the date 2712 or 1227 don't work for the code-panel

hmm maybe I'll have to go back in if you all are making some progress... I had written down '24' from calendar, I think because all days through 23 were Xd out?

I poked all with battery, knife and picture... no idea what to do...

yes, laura, its all xed out until 23, but in my game its written 27 below

now can't get back in goofy box for key... maybe something else had to be done first? and still no idea how to use inventory items... maybe they are just automatically used when needed?

LOL Laura we seem to get stuck in games recently (hi Sleepyant)

no, I don't think so, because you have to choose one if you want to look at it in about view

Inventory items? I think it is click on item then what you want to use it on (but it gives no indication item is hilited...)

hi drops =) please tell me how you got the peg

don't think there are numbers below my calendar, unless i'm clicking wrong...

quitting again for now, good luck!

you have to click at the numbers on the calendar, then it shows up some japanese blabla and the number 27

true Leroy, hope this one goes better! (almost got stuck in Station game last night but finally got through... )

peg was on back side of card from purple book?

Will point out one of the books clued us to using 4 pegs? In a cube?

i've got a card from blue book... but without peg... hmmm

LOL Sleepy clicketty clicketty... And I tried click inventory item then what I wanted to use it on... I then clicked peg and clicked on the 3 "moon" pic.. Peg sat on it then when I look later it is gone??

LOL... drops... I do not have only 1 peg and you want to have 4? you drive me crazy...

woohoo... have the peg now... and I saw the hint in the book 4 x peg...
now I can't left the view in this "3moonbook"

LOL... haven't clicked the red cross...
ok... I went to the music box below the books and clicked with the peg at the other peg... now it switched to the right and the music changed

LOL below the books you have a note with writing... Turn it over (may need to click green inventory thing) Left side of that pic has white peg outline but when i used peg it sat on the right... Then was gone next time I came back to look LOL That is where I stopped....

same happened to me

LOL you caught up with me... I must be missing something somewhere....

Can whoever runs this site please get rid of the extra Escapegames24 frame which appears at the top of the page after loading a game? It's not only a nuisance having to get rid of it, but a complete pain in the ass for those of us who access this site via a small-screen laptop.

and what about the view with the creatures? only: woabwoabwoabwoab... nothing else

@ Siobhán Long's sister: my game is on a complete white screen without eg24 frame

I'm going to have a break... my finger hurts

Will add it is odd to me the few numbers that appear in the books and some of the commentary when you click on things???

I thought battery was a lighter.
When I couldn't flip picture, I used lighter/battery on it for peg and writing.

Pink (rightmost book) looks like you have to find 4 pegs and put them in a box?

Why are there clicking noises in the basketball view? Wondering if its related the the note behind the picture above the bed ...

To get in funny box, click mouth to right of tongue

I sure wish you could tell when you have something highlighted in inventory ...

Been there LOL

Yep I whinged about that earlier...

Will also add table view password input is the yellow paper but the pink paper starts Hello hello

Im starting to get the feeling password is hidden amongst all the japanese characters but either english or numeric LOL

I looked up the 4 symbols in the yellow book
pink 喜 joy
red 怒 anger
blue 哀 sadness
orange 楽 humor
niciku gave me
喜怒哀楽 = きどあいらく = (kidoairaku)
and a saying using these four characters:
喜怒哀楽を見せるな。= "Don't let your feelings show."

喜怒哀楽 and きどあいら in google translate comes out as "emotions"
tried both versions in yellow box without success

trying again... couldn't get in funny mouth until after I opened all the books?

@Puzzled, wow, that's going the distance!

I'm giving up -- maybe someone who knows Japanese can figure this one out!

and @Puzzled you're right about lighter... I must have had it selected without realizing and thought I flipped picture...

don't know about clicking noises... thought maybe dots related to dots coming from guy's mouth in pink book, but can't make a connection.. plus there isn't really a blue dot on floor

@Laura -- it took some time, but I wasn't getting anywhere in the game -- anyway I'm fascinated by different forms of writing.

You all have seen the hello hello from the pink on the table?

@Puzzled, well hopefully you'll learn some more if someone knowing Japanese comes along!

@Leroy, yes saw that, but just one more thing I don't know what to do with (didn't try it in yellow box but I assume it doesn't work there...)

I'm beginning to think there's a Japanese pun/wordplay going on in the basketball scene?

starting to think I'm jinxing games LOL

I tried "46110" and "01164" and "hello" and "hello hello"

Also B5 A1 7 (with and without spaces)

@laura -- sometimes you have weeks like that (but there's always hope for the next one ...)

@Puzzled, go for it! no way I'd figure out a Japanese pun..

I've been trying all the same codes, also with 9 instead of 6... and repeating numbers twice...

oops just lost my peg in music box, guess you all already did that...

just too many numbers... also the D1 C13? N7, and a 5 in pink book, and the 27 and/or 24 from calender

LOL Puzzled I also tried B5 AI 7 but no go....

Look in the books as well LOL first book 2nd month followed by first month? and last book.. page 13?

anyone know the tune from peg place? I recognize but can't place...

Back Cantata BWV 147 (Jesu Joy of Man's Desiring)

didn't help me in game but at least it's not bugging me anymore LOL

LOL so is that Kermit the frog in the other view?
Ribbit Ribbit?

I did think about the Hello thing and japanese girls love their "Hello Kitty" accessories

And Hairballs? Such a cat thing LOL

Dang, no progress on this one. @Leroy I tried Little House Escape again and found grey column and jagged black hole, but died again (I think). I have to learn to leave these frustrating ones behind! (maybe it is Kermit? since game is by the 'mopets'?)

laura, this one may be frustrating even to some Japanese native speakers, because it is illogical or unsolvable.

The author has gotten aware of that and hence PULLED the game off his site for the time being, *clicky*

If translation makes any sense, he is planning to inject another cheat into the game that helps with the password you guys too are all eager to finally know about.

Besides, that colorful house in the calendar reminds me a LOT of the gingerbread hut of the old hag in Grimm's "Hansel and Gretel".
(Even though I doubt there'll be any pun there)

Most probably the "battery" we used *WAS* a lighter, which revealed some secret writing (note the pale-yellow color of the writing, which is not there by pure luck)

FIXED version is now up! (from announcement)

Hairball Syndrome (fixed version)

Descrambling the text on the above page reveals that the password is a 3 DIGIT CODE. So we just need 10 people, with each of them trying one 100's block ;-)

(just kidding)

@arbeitslooser, thanks for the info! maybe I'll try the fixed version later when I have time... Yeah, 3 digit code doesn't narrow it down all that much, but still good to know...

Now that's what I call some weird stuff on the "secret message"! Just as Puzzled already assumed in the basketball scene, this must be yet another play on words (Japanese style).

(No guarantee for the correctness of the characters, it's bloody hard to read, let alone to draw. The one in bold I can't read for the life of me. It's so goddamn blurry.)

太陽がある空に (there is a sun in the sky)
一匹のハトが[?]んでいる。(one of the pigeons has got cancer) (???)
そしてその上には体い人が立っている。
(which is standing well on the human body)

Now what a load of gibberish!

wow. well, there is a sun in the sky in one of the books... and there is an odd looking pigeon... but this is still unsolvable in my book...
