Link not working :)

Hint: Replace "anounce.html" by "Anounce.swf" in the link to get a reasonable screen size.

(You need to do it manually; my post may be deleted by the mods/admins if I give the full link).

LOL, what was THAT?!
Fallen knobs & shaking furniture...!
;-D

this is mini escape game ;) ;) ;)

LOL? Out in 30 seconds after all knobs fell off once touched. Must be my personal record.

I'm not sure if this can be called a "game" at all.

Wow cool arbeitsloser, this is great....Thank you !

Lol i am even not in !

a real mini escape indeed :D

Ohh my it is that stupid... i better go to bed lol....Hugs to Megi as well !

hugs to Zazie of course, good night all :)

We're not stupid (though maybe a bit foolish playing this at all and seeing some sense in it...)

If you turn encoding to Shift-JIS and google-translate the "anounce" page, the author confirms that this "game" was made for Android (hence, as an app) and that it's a whopping 40 Kilobytes file.

Come to think of it, that would be a cool competition for the 'scene': write an escape game in only 64 KB. :)

LOL, arbeitslooser,
there's an expert speaking...!
;-P

Well poop! I was hoping for a game that I could kill some time with!

How about some older games (randomly chosen)?

@premiere, expert? Well if you were referring to the 'scene' stuff, I'd not go as far as saying expert, but yes, I was live part of the home computer era when there were 40K and 64K demo competitions, and by writing everything in assembly language and doing some intelligent data crunching ( = compression), scene groups could show---e. g. on an Amiga---what eye-candy a mere 64K file can be - despite its modest size.

@arbeit: I came from an era when "elegant" meant clean, tight program code - it used minimal memory and storage space, both of which were expensive. The local college was celebrating that they got a memory upgrade to their mainframe, a whopping 256K. :) Part of me still gets appalled by the wastefulness of modern applications.

Spot on, Andrea: once storage was no longer an issue, redundancy would suddenly spread like a disease in no time; by one part due to mere negligence, by another one due to programmers' indifference ("Where's the point to optimize it? We've got more than we could ever use up, so why bother!")

*BUT* I would not shoot too quick by generalizing too much, accusing every modern software a "bit-waster"; it's a fact that "real" programmers who can code efficiently with little memory usage are still highly sought-after for the mobile/smartphone world. RAM is still quite limited there.
