got the hairpiece from the 3-digit code - hint on paper

im also here ..hi .hav comb & hint paper

put hairpiece on and combed the men according to hint on yellow hearts - another puzzle came down

LOL ermmm is that guy trying to catch the llama spit??

how did you get 3 digit code swiss miss

raasti - look at the shelf with the red pumpkins and check on your paper hint which numbers to pick

I am stuck - lots of clues

my cb is not opened ..is it 682

I think it was 862 Raasti

Hi guys,
If the code is from the red things combined with the note, shouldn't it be 682? because it's not working for me

try 628

code on door does not open with bruteforcing the missing 7

For 3-digit code: look at the colors of the t-shirts of the gentlemen upstairs.

ok thanx ....i am also thinking the eyes of pumpkin are clue for door pannel but 1 pumpkin is missing there

For what it's worth, those are not pumpkins; they're called Daruma dolls. :p

Seem to be missing the comb, anyone remember where it is please?

anyone found the clue for the four directions puzzle that came out of combing the guys ?

POP found the comb in the pocket :)

JOc it is in the pocket of that middle man standing with pumpkin shelf ..

Thanks raasti found it... the man that looks like the kind who would have a comb in his pocket lol ;)

I dont' like this games

Are we all stuck at the same place? Haven't opened the door yet nor figured out the 2nd puzzle upstairs.

Has anyone figured out the clue above the budda guy? I think it may have to do with the wall hanging and the Daruma dolls eyes, or maybe just the wall hanging, but can't figure it out.

Hi by the way, I'm a new poster!

Holy crap, that code was tuff...

Ok the order is in the shelf 1 to 4

Count the spades, hearts, etc

Brute forced the diamond

lotejimer ..i also dont like this game ..esp faces of these character in the game

Shaddie fly ..welcome to post commenting society

Seems to me that we are stuck at the same place... Hi all. I've counted the spades, hearts, diamonds and clubs. I've got 3 diamonds, 5 hearts, 2 spades and 8 clubs (not the number, but the hint from the cupboard)

I am not getting anywhere...
And welcome Shaddie fly lol :)

Thanks GuruOne, not sure if I did get it right, but I'll try.

i hav 5 hearts ,8 club ,2 spade but where is diamond ?

ok 3 diamonds also ...

Thanks Raasti, I feel like I know everyone since I've been playing these escape games for about a year now. Figures I start posting on my least favorite game. Where is a sneaky game when you need one? lol

Diamond is under big fat red No.9 guy in cupboard with the 4 digit safe.

yup it was so obvious but i dont kno how to set eyes

im leavng this game b/c i cant tolerrate that spitting part ...

count the diamonds, hearts, clover, and spades... order from darumas... got daruma number 7...

The green dir'n code is seriously weird, starts with UP

Am I just being really stupid here, I can't see any diamonds, clubs, spades or hearts other than on the wall upstairs?? Am I meant to be looking at the daruma dolls?

Ok I don't get it, is that for the new safe under the heart and over the budda guy? if so I don't get how I am suppose to do

Welcome Shaddie Fly... :-).

Opened the door beind the tree standing guys, solved the 'clock' puzzle, stuck now with a dolls head.

Jo.C: the yellow sculptures that are standing in the room.

Jo.C spades are in the first view... yellow shapes in the kitchen... turn right and you find hearts... turn left for diamonds...

Thanks again GuruOne for the hint where to start with the green arrow clue.

Out now. But I don't know if it was the best ending.

LOL oh dear... DUH!! Thanks guys, might look into getting glasses :)

can anyone spoil the 4 digits code ????????

please, could you tell me how to apply the diamond, spade... with the dolls and then to the kind of eye safe?

@escapism:
For best ending, look at the "kitchen" after opening the door and apply that on the dolls.

out with cat on head ending

aridza
each doll is numbered, the suits fit those numbers 1-2-3-4.
, so that's the order of the suits.
then put in the number of the suits into the 4 digit code, i.e how many hearts there are. diamonds etc

4 digit code:

SPOILER5268SPOILER

Thanks Jenn, I'll replay and try that!

Hi all, any help for the B/W buttons ?

Hi Zazie, are you talking about the 'hours' buttons? I yes: there is a hint on the inside of the new hidden room.

Still got the hint on the paper in my inventory even when getting out with the red stamp. Another ending?

I'm really dumb today, I still don't get it, I thought I did but it's not working

@arizda: You see the hint upstairs with up left diamondx2, next row heart and clubs, and then last row spades down right. Count the spades, diamonds etc. in the rooms to get the numbers (diamondsx2!). Now for the order: look at the dolls. They have numbers. The one where the heart is (2nd row to the left) has the number one, so this is the first number. There are five hearts, so the first number is 5, and so on...

@escapism
Aside from the stamp, nothing I have is active...:s

hmmmmmmm i cant even play it after the ad all i get is a white screen dam it.

POP got it...

got it thanks (finally).
Now trying the clock but not as easy as I thought it would be

I'm late here, but cannot miss a game of this series!!!

for the clock, shouldn't it be 9 to 3 black,6 to 9 black, 9 to 6 black and 12 to 6 black?

Got two different endings and want to know how to push the 4 red buttons on table by the two animals ? I am always dying there. And what did you do with the clock, there are no clock needles.

nevermind, I guess I needed to do the green safe before being able to open the clock one

B/W buttons :

1 upper half black
2 left down part black
3 upper half and right down black
4 right half black.

cant take golden key !! ( n btw what dolls u talking about for the order of the 4 digits ?????? ) coz everything went somewhat easy after !!!

nvm got it n out !

How do you get the key, please?

@sister get the number 7 doll head u placed in the cb earlier n put it on the right of the box where the keyis !

yeah that was my reaction as well !! lol

I had problems getting in so used this link...

WTF-THROUGH

1st, go forward, see the cat with a man on his feet - I mean the man with a cat on his head. Take the CLUE PAPER from his chest, he won't mind. Back up and notice there are 2 spade-shaped sculptures on the counter. You can go forward, left and look into the laundry room and bathroom, but I can't tell that it does any good.
Back out and turn left. That's a living daruma doll. He acts a little hostile but he won't do anything. Click on his cabinet to see the 3 diamond sculptures decorated with an odd clue. There's a 4-# code we're going to need.
Back out and turn left again; there's a directions code, for what we don't know. Before we go upstairs let's finish looking at this room. Left again - I don't know what the Japanese call these dolls but I call them twistyhead dolls. There's one missing, apparently. Another left (dizzy yet?) and there's a grid code next to a door. The code will not open the door - this is Detarou, after all. Then in the display cabinet there are 4 heart sculptures, a clock with no hands, a modern art sculpture that looks like a clue for another puzzle, and a 3-# locked cabinet at the bottom.
One more left, and you see an odd semi-acrobatic trio. Click on the middle guy, click again, then on the (don't be scared!) bulge in his pocket. You have the COMB he apparently never uses.
One more glance to the left, and here's a display of numbered daruma dolls, missing #7. (The guy across the room is #9.) Notice their eyes. That will be our grid pattern, but we can't complete it yet.
Go upstairs.

I think those are actually alpacas, but I know from experience they usually blow snot on you rather than spit. Anyway, I guess this scene is just entertainment/annoyance, because there seems to be nothing to do here.
To the right are 3 men in yellow, green and blu shirts. The guy in the middle's a little hairstyle-challenged. There's a button above his head. Hm.
Look right and take careful note of the positions of the card symbols, and don't forget the X2!
We now have what we need to open a cabinet. Return downstairs.

The 3-# cabinet is a combination of the note in your hand, the daruma dolls and the shirts of the men. (spoilers below)
Get a toupee and see the club statue, with an 8 on it.
The 4-# code is a combination of the poster upstairs with the daruma dolls and the statues of card symbols - but there's something we haven't seen yet. Let's take pity on the bald guy, Now that we have a toupee.
Now place it on his head, and remember the directions for hair-parting that was on the diamond symbols downstairs. Groom each of the gentleman, and see what a bad hair day truly entails. The ascetic behind us is unperturbed, to his karmic credit. Note that the new situation has revealed a 5th heart. Now we can open that cabinet too.
Downstairs again, note the order of the symbols as implied by the daruma dolls in the positions on the poster upstairs. Fill in #s for each, not forgetting the 2X, and get DARUMA DOLL 7. Yay!

Part 2 coming...

PART 2

When you put DOLL 7 in place, the grid pattern becomes evident. (Game won't let you brute-force it beforehand.) Enter that exactly as you see it in the red grid, and...
well, I already told you it wouldn't open THAT door.
Don't know what happens to the guy in the facemask - you never see him again. Maybe the panda gets him.

Enter the new door. In front of you is a key that needs a key to get to it. To the right is a green puzzle. Right once more, is a clue to solve the ascetic's puzzle upstairs. Don't turn right any more. You did, didn't you. Alright, save your game. I mean it. Right now.
Okay, you clicked on the panda and his human sidekick, and you tried each of the 4 buttons. So you found the one that leaves them where they belong. Let's get on with escaping!
The green puzzle is solved with the aid of the poster with 7s on it outside, but strangely, you have to turn your head to the right, and read it from bottom up. (Thanks GuruOne)
You get DOLL BODY.
Now note the numbers on the wall and return to the guru. You have to imagine a clock, and make the area between the noted times black. (I tried white first of course.) Get DOLL HEAD.
Put your TWISTYHEAD DOLL together, and return to the twistyheads downstairs. Now you can move them. Set them in the positions seen in the cabinet to your left. Get SILVER KEY.
This opens the cabinet with the gold key n it, but it won't stay open. We need a weight of some kind. Go outside again and take back DARUMA DOLL 7. Maybe that'll work.

As you've guessed, it does, and now you can leave the building if you wish. Or...

Saving and leaving at this point gives a clue for another ending. For that, open the door, then return to the kitchen counter and watch cat-head man. Follow his directions on the twistyheads. Leave with RUBBER STAMP.

There may be other endings. In Detarou World (almost) anything is possible.

Spoilers:

3-# code - 862 (yellow-green-blue + positions of dolls as seen on your paper)

4-# code - order is heart-spade-diamond(X2)-club. So the code is 5268. (I guess they were too tired to draw 8 club statues so just put a number on it.)

Sorry - suddenly have to go - but the rest are pretty obvious

Enjoy!

False alarm! It was the meter reader. So here's the rest:

Green puzzle: up-down-l-r-l-up.
Twistyheads: up-down-mid-mid-down.
2nd ending: down-mid-up-mid-down.

I think that's all I found but more seems to be implied...

O yes, Zazie at 6:28 am put up a good spoiler for the clock puzzle.

@ just 1 i did not play the game ..but wow you wrote so lenghty walkthru ..:)

hey just u a kids stories writer or just talented telling the story ?? :D

thanks @E-Addict - kind of a frustrated novelist, but really a musician - the best walkthroughs IMO are by zoz on this site and Dora on Jay Is Games - they're my models

i just enjoyed reading it !! really ! :D

Me too.
But well...whenever I want to write in a style like just1, I can do it too. You will find a SPARSE number of walkthroughs for long and for _very_ long games that I wrote. I just do it very irregularly, as I prefer to WT'ify those games that need 5 parts and more.

Those where you have to write everything on draft before posting it here, because one mistake can get hundreds of people totally confused (as you have to run around in 8 rooms to find and combine stuff)

Ah, and to @Jenn
For 3-digit code: look at the colors of the t-shirts of the gentlemen upstairs.

You bet I WON'T! :P
Whenever the code is 3-digit, and I have 3 numbers at hand but not their order, I know from my basic math class that there is REALLY ONLY SIX ways to combine them!
So really not worth the trouble to run around and figure out the order by clues, since you'd be finished way earlier w/trying out those six combinations! :)

Ah, and one word to the author:

In terms of funniness, I have NEVER had to laugh so hard in your games as with those two llamas!! This was really deadly funny =P
