Found a plank of wood and put it on the stairs, which let me upstairs. Can't get the key off the skeleton though
rod is for stairs and get key with rod

kitchen is better than downstairs about lightness
found pumpkin, wood and rod, used wood on stairs, rod on skeleton and now in kitchen
now have chicken, bottle (broken on table edge), lit candle, unlit candle, star piece, book, pumpkin and chest
Got big white candle, lit small candle, bottle, half a star, book, chest and pumpkin
yep, also chicken :)
In kitchen I found bottle, candle, another lit candle, chest and book
blue screen when highlighting book and chicken - bug?
got two candles, bottle (broken) a book, a chest and pumpkin now
Used broken bottle on chicken to get a star for book
Cut chicken with bottle, got other half of star. Put star on book and opened it.
Clue for man on chest, but no idea how to set him like in the book.

Knife bottom right of first kitchen screen. Place pumpkin on table next to skull and use knife to carve pumpkin. Use broken bottle on turkey for star piece. Take candle ontop of skeleton to place in carved pumpkin. shows paper on light. Take paper. Other half star under skull after taking candle. Use star on book from under table. Open book by clicking corners after star placed. Place paper on book then use candle for clue for chest. Move arms on chest to open for key. use key on door downstairs for escape

I saw that knife, but kept getting in the study ehwn trying to get it.
Cut pumpkin, put candle in end and got paper.
Cool get the knife by barrel right side of first kitchen scene
only just figured out that to cut chicken, click on it for blue screen and then drag chicken onto screen - this is just for anybody who is having a duh moment like me
Ah ... us paper and big candle in book.
Now I need to find a way to get that paper out of the book again.

@ Cool you cant take the paper back, just go to chest and click arms like paper

found rod, is NOT helpful, where did you all get a rod from?
WHAT is this ?you can cut chicken with broken bottle but not with KNIFE ? until now i thought knife is for cutting but 123 Bee games prove me wrong ....LOL

Horrible was right. Thanks for the knife location right next to the arrow to change views. Not particularly logical, but managed to escape this dark pixel hunt.
