Hello!, hope you can read the note, I have done a lot but can't figure out the number code
Have a note I can't read, a stocking, a hook, a dish, a burning candle, a green thing that looks like a coal kit and put wood in the fireplace. Stuck!!
Key won't fit on door or cabinet or painting (might need sd for that, hard to see).
Fire lit, got a blue key

Ah, found sd in stocking (used hook).

Found paper, lit fire and used hook to get red key out of fire.
What do do with the walking stick?

yes the note is not needed but you can combine the note from green ornament with the original note turned over and the number combo is there

red key from fire when cooled off will fit last drawer

Ah, thanks Pat! Cooled off red key and it became brown key for bottom drawer for hammer. Smash green coal kit with it for 2nd note. Per Pat: combine 2 notes for combo to safe for green key and present. Out!!
The reason for my confusion was that I hadnt found the original red-ish key on the wreath.

Note is from your grandfather, telling you to find the present in that room.

Get the sock in front of you, examine it, then click near the top of sock to reveal SD inside. One of the drawers has a plate, bring it along.
Turn left, it's a fireplace. Both sides of fireplaces have the things we need: firewood and stick. Click the ornament above the fireplace, and take the key well hidden top right, with the bright red stripes. Take one of the candles with you as well.
Turn left again, you'll see the exit. A painting is beside it, and locked with a screw so use the SD. Open it to find some newspaper. We'll come back later for the locked CB below.
Turn left, and we see a tree. Not much to do here, just pick up an ornament with a green roll inside. Turn left again to go back to starting scene.
The red key is for the safe inside left door, which in turn gives you a frozen blue key. Time to use them items: Plate to place the iced key, the wood in fireplace followed by paper, then candle to start a fire. Place the plate near (on) the fire to melt the ice, now you can take the key inside.
Use the stick to move the burning wood, revealing another key. Pick it out using the stick again, then make the key usable with water.
Remember the locked drawer in starting scene? Use the rusty key to open it, getting youself a hammer. Now you can smash the ornament, giving you a piece of paper with four numbers but you need to guess a bit.
Turn to exit scene. Use the remaining key to open the locked CB. Input the 4 numbers on locked chest to find a key and present inside. Them them out, then escape with the key.

Not much was told about grandpa. You went to his place to play, then fell asleep. After that you woke up in that room, with the note from grandpa.
But he's a grandpa who knows his grandchild well; the present is a model boat, which is the thing you've wanted badly.
