Elf Story is another new point and click type adventure game by Esp Animaton. You'll assume the role of Edwin, who later becomes Elfmin, on a 10-scene quest to try and find your girlfriend while battling off vicious enemies. I must be really lame. I don't even know how to start!
I clicked on the boy and he sat up.
Now there is a picture of a mouse with an up arrow but I can't do anything.
Anybody else playing?
Ok. I had to click on the boy and "drag" him up.
Clicked on the closet door and got a hoodie and a bat.
Then clicked on the computer to get transported into a prtal.
Is the game finally gonna start now? So far I'm bored.

Got key and opened trunk to get a shrunken head that disappeared. Now stuck - but my computer crashed and had to restart solet's see what happens when I reboot.

Any idea what LMH means in the upper left hand corner of the screen?
BTW: I'm stuck and it goes so slow I don't know if I have the patience to stick with this game.

I quit after I died.
L, M, H probably means Low, Medium, High quality (graphics).
I got in a loop in the forest with the bow & arrow guy.
He went through all of his arrows but keeps magically getting a full bag of arrows, again. Can't go back so I'm stuck in this loop.
I'm done.
OK...got to 2nd level and before I could figure out HOW to make the stupid sword work...the enemy killed me! Start over???? I don't think so! LOL
Lame game. If you die (and you die a lot) you have to restart at the beginning of every scene, and you can't go back to previous scenes if you forgot something (like precious ore).
@Tarisa--When the guy finishes a quiver of arrows, click him before he hides behind the tree and you can attack. I sent a fireball at him.
You have to attack the guy with the arrows when he pops out from behind the tree. Wait for him to use all his arrows, then quickly click him before he jumps back behind the tree again, and your weapon options will pop up. However, I cannot seem to get the timing right on the boss battle in the next screen, I kept getting punched into oblivion or squished in half. I had to quit before I broke my computer. If anyone figures out the trick, I may come back later.
I was somehow able to defeat the ogre. I won't be attempting that again for any additional achievements.
Click on the main character's head. Then click on head and drag mouse up. Click on bed and under pillow for goober action figurine. Get hoodie and bat from wardrobe. After talking to the tv, insert the konami code into the controller pad and then hit the start button.
Get branch with leaf and use it to smash the pots, pry open that trapdoor and get a key. Use the key on the chest and get the shrunken head. Leave via the stairs.
Outside quickly click on enemy and select sword before he kills you. Then click on the carcass multiple times for coins. Then descend the ladder.
Click and lift the smaller pile of rocks and chuck them anywhere. Collect the ore beneath and continue right.
The fighting system is dumb and confusing. Instead of clicking those big arrows or perhaps using the corresponding arrow keys you need to click the area on the screen that the arrow is pointing at. You'll die many times until you memorise where to click, but at least you can hoard some coins. Just make sure you get the ore again each time you die. Click on the enemy for the final blow. Raid carcass for coins. Try to leave via right screen until you realise you have to click yourself to put away your sword before moving on.
Click the centre of the cross roads and then click the tree. Click yourself and then the tree again to knock the dead bird out. Head towards the hut by clicking back at the centre of the crossroads and then the hut.
Trade the ore for the sword and the shrunken head for the band. Pick up the skull for free and buy the bombs if you have enough. Leave now and fight the enemy waiting for you outside buy clicking where those red arrows are pointing at. Pick up the dagger he drops. Head right.
Whatever you say you will fight this guy. Click on your sword to raise/defend yourself. Then attack as before. Kick the guy until you get a key out of him and head right.
In the next screen someone will be firing arrows at you. Click like crazy a short way in front of you to block the arrows. The forth one is slightly lower so before he shoots move your mouse down slightly and again click like crazy unless you have godlike reflexes. Quickly click the enemy after the forth arrow and pick his death. I think the bomb had more coins.
Get ready for the most ridiculous boss battle ever. There's no time to react to his movements and it is completely unclear how you are supposed to fight him. His moves follow no set pattern and if you are in the wrong place at the wrong time he will kill you. I found if you alternate between double clicking his head and then double clicking his left hand then you have a 1/20 chance of killing him. Good luck.
Hmmm was ok until the last ridiculous part trying to kill that ugly monster thing... Then gave up. But thanks Raybecca for your walkthrough, it helped me know what to expect next lol.
To kill the ogre, you have to click (one time!) on his head just as soon as he's about to do anything. After you land from your attack, click his head again immediately.
There is a dead bird in the tree at the intersection to Hobart's. After moving into the intersection, click on the tree. Once there, click on your person to wield sword. click on the tree to strike it and out falls the bird.
Anyone know where the thing that looks like a blood splat is?
The thing that looks like a blood splat is bird poop. If you stand outside of Hobart's shop a little bit it'll fall on you. Don't know what you do with it though.
I've hit that black boss monster 6 times in a row and he STILL doesn't die! I'm giving up :C
I don't know if I actually defeated the ogre. Both characters (the ogre and the boy) are standing and there is no place to click. I've been stucked like half an hour!!!
ABOUT THE PRETENDO CONTROLLER:
Before taking up the first controller in you bedroom, pick up the second "Pretendo" controller. You can use it as a weapon with most enemies. Here are the commands according to Newgrounds badges:
Goblo Arrow Kill : Press UP
Eletrocuted : LEFT; RIGHT; X (the top blue button)
Wheel of Decimation : LEFT; LEFT; Y (the bottom blue button)
To get pass the ogre, just click on his head once, than after you're done moving, click on his head again, and again, and again until he dies.
