Collected a lot of things, don't know what they are but the balls all seem to go together in a scene somewhere in the second room. I've swept the floor and poured something on a cloth. Oh and yes, I've fed a magic sausage to the cat!
Put the soaked cloth on the fire, lit it, added some other shiny ball to the cauldron, took cauldron and clicked to get to the scene with the four balls in it, clicked something else and then all the balls changed to jewels. The cards on the table show you where to place the balls and the turning handle, you get a key and out.
Sorry if the above isn't all that helpful, but things just seemed to happen and then I was out!
this looks like a bad ripoff of the baba yaga game from pastel games

The something else was the wooden spoon.
Not sure granmaj - have you got the cauldron and the four balls in the same scene?

I added the spoon to the four balls and now they've vanished!
OK - got it - 4 shiny blue balls all go into cauldron!
click cauldron and balls come back.

Things don't 'really' vanish. The go in another kind of inventory screen, that will pop up again when you find something else you have to use with those things.
Hmmm. Balls, cauldron, lit fire, purple smoke, spoon, and still no jewels. What am I missing?
finally worked that out s-t - but really confusing and this game looks awfully familiar - have we played it before??
laker, put the sparkly blue balls into the cauldron
them you can take the cauldron to the scene with the spoon and the 4 marbles and make them into jewels
only got 3 ball things in my cauldron - where is the 4th I wonder- got the one from that most phallic of cactuses - hey where did that bird come from ?
not sure what to do, all my items are gone except matches and cannot use them on the fire for whatever reason
Thanks LNS, I didn't realize the cauldron and balls were separate at the end.

You can use matches, after you did oil on the cloth and put that on the wood in the oven.

ah there it was - down there in the dirt by the door - good job I had a broom - havent we seen this game before quite recently - it had witches in , but almost identical - including the overweight cat.

one comment: once you use jar, you will "loose" it. You will be able to see it again when you have rag with potion.
Same thing for balls... they will disappear, but you can access them every time you select an item related with them

Yes, we have seen this game before. It was called Baba Yaga, and was a little more involved, but the graphics in this game come directly from it.
