Service call come in so off out onsite, rats. Have oil lube, sofa puzzle and under cussion clues, tV remote no battery, key on string by window, key in bottle..I'll pick it up later. Have fun

There seems to be a second ending. The tv shows a new hint with 8 hippos if you go back, so better save before going out directly...
Dial goes in the strange machine from LR drawer.

Use the same concept for the little machine that you did for the sofa. For each setting, outline a full single digit grid with the spots that the shapes outline. So make a separate one for the square, triangle, and circle and you'll get numbers for each. Hard to explain, hope it helped.

It's not right/left. The hippos creates solution for the one hippo.

Did we ever use the lubricant? Also, what were the symbols on the keys for? One of the keys is used in the brown cabinet, didn't see a keyhole... Love the sofa cushion twist, had me the first go-around.

Thank you all. I worked out the happy coin number finally. I kept assuming i was wrong because of the repetition and didnt try it. Thank you all again.
This time it was easier than the others and much more logical. The only difficult part was the shapes with nrs. I got so dizzy, but Pierpor's hint helped!
Had to go but back now and out. Thanks for DVD tip. All it did was say see you later though.

if you look at the hippo display on the tv it makes numbers - look at the background around the hippos on the black and white sections
Gosh I feel like an eejit. The sofa clue has me stumped already. I can make out the 1st and 3 numbers, I think!, but the other two don't combine to make any number 0-9! Please help.

no problem adivawoman....and the colors of the birds on the tv, combine with the photos of the birds on the other side give you the directions for the picture removal

Music started to annoy a little though.

I've just read Chrissi's hint for the happy coin, but the clue on TV doesn't make sense for me.
I think she said to look at the white areas around the hippos....I can see a 5 and a 2

Well. Although it may be deemed a kind of sacrilege to think about making a critical remark about the "Grand Master of Escape Games", let me have a short say anyway:
In my book, Tesshi-e *almost took* it a little to far this time with the digi-number thing. :) They came in a whopping threes this time, and in one game too!
1st) couch 2nd) "number-maker" ('square circle triangle' gameboy-like device) 3) Happy Coin !
It was O.K. but I think a fourth digi-number puzzle would have smelled close to "overuse" ;)
I lubricated the outside lock box but still can't open it. I assume the water jar is in there? I am stuck with a rag, key(used), wine opener(used), letter code(used), remote, dvd in dvd player, coin, and lubricant
you need lubricating oil *AND* a key of course LOL
I can't even start. WHERE is everything. I have oil, folded not and remote with no batteries. Can't find anything else? Please please please say WHERE you find stuff?
note, folded note LOL. Can someone please tell me where to use #under couch cushions, I have 5867 but it doesn't work on drawer thingie.

evans, you've got a point. Getting started in this one is the most difficult thing (that's where 70% of my blood/sweat/tears must've come from ;))
First, get yourself a sheet of paper and combine ALL four RED digit bits (per each of the four full digits) to a 4-digit number. Ignore all other bits, they're just for distraction...
I see you don't want to read the spoilers above, since the correct number is there. (This must be respected, so I won't spoil it either.)
Each digit is built of red bits on the left cushion, under the left cushion, on the right cushion and under the right cushion. Four locations, assemble all of the together. Yes it's hard work :)

I seem to be way behind. My key won't open the green box on the balcony and I don't know how to make the cloth wet for cleaning the window...

I played it yesterday until stuck: could'nt open the brown drawer with left-right buttons, couldn't find the oil, couldn't clean the window...and no hints for that. Can someone post a walktrough please or give a hint?
Tesshi has proven once again, why it is worth to take your time making an escape game. Long wait - but no doubt worth every second. Great game.

Back again, restarted and cant remember where oil was. Just opened picture and have IBM, three steps behind, and coin

followed the clues, just worked out 845, excellent puzzle
Stuck on how to cut chain with drawer key
Ouch put number Sqr, O and Tri in wrong order, 854 give key
And out, that was brilliant
Finished the game now, but how do you get to 854?
Where is the hint for Square, O and triangle?

@Jef - draw 3 3x5 boxes - place all the squares from all 3 knob positions in one box, same for diamonds and circles

Hi all, I was away so I'm just catching up on some of my favourite games.
Fabulous game, as always, from Tesshie! Very logical. I got most of it on my own, but still needed help from here with the square-circle-triangle box, and a reminder to look at the negative space behind the hippos on the 2nd DVD viewing. Thanks for another fun game, Tesshie! (And where can I get one of those beach towels? :-D )
