got a card from the dustbin by the restaurant. Game moving slow, not sure if it is my computer or the game

Er, this is confusing and boring. I've picked up one thing (maybe a key card?) but I can't use it as it won't select or drag. The guy walks at a snail pace. I'm giving it a few more screens. Anybody get far enough into the game to find it interesting?

I lowered the boat halfway, poured gas in to the motor but it needs something else.
opened the panel in restroom with the knife, need a color code.
Are we supposed to turn on the fan outside the locker room? Can move the switches inside the locker room but nothing happening
No, I quit. I think, it could be a (perhaps very) good game, but not with this ET-velocity. Have fun guys (the lucky ones with a fast PC). ;-)
brute forced the color code but it wont let me back in to see what it was. now the windmill is started

there is a button on the wall to open the door under boat. Stuck with cake from dust bin, ballons with fish attached and coffee cup

The wheel on the wall will lower the boat some, but I'm also missing whatever lowers it into the water.
I have coffee, gross cupcake, balloons/fish, and business card, and am stuck.

tried floating the balloons with fish over couple outside the restaurant hoping they would leave, but no luck
press the button on the back wall and then turn the handle on the left wall
in the rest room scene, give yourself the balloons
great, something wrong with my game. I gave myself the cupcake in the scene with the dog and now the cupcake is gone and everywhere I click it says I can't do this. Can't leave the scene or open inventory
well thats it for me. DO NOT give yourself that piece of cake. I did it and now the game wont work at all.

Wha...? The cook tells me to get the key from the cupboard. What cupboard? I can click on one of the drawers, but it looks like that's what needs the key. Still can't do anything with the boat.
Jenna, click the items on the shelf. The key for the drawer is hidden there
