Out, nice game, I'll replay and hang around in case someone needs help...
Thx escapism, got paperclue for 3 button box and can't figure it out. Any hint ?
Emmes: where is a 3x3 structure in the room?
SPOILErthebookcase,lookatpositionofbooksSPOILER
Got it, follow bookcase.
thx escapism, after that nice and logical.
Paper clue for brown box was misleading
for me.
Don't flip the paper over, just follow the arrow
as you see it.
I thought the 3 squares denoted the doors.
This one was not as hard. Out by myself for a change.

Hmm, I clicked my "back" arrow, and my
previous comment got re- published
each time.
code for top drawer (left cabinet) please?
I got it. Out
ok, first cup of coffee in the morning, read MLMLRLLRR for books but not working on the wooden box?
You need to follow the clue in paper inside safe
can't figure out where to use "124", "ONE" on bed, and black squares paper... not to mention envelope
THe black squares goes on the box on the couch, after that, it gets much easier. :)
DAMN... I was counting 9 squares instead of 8... that's why it didn't work before!!!!!
That pointy knife thing is an envelope opener.
Thanks Millie... tried 963, 369, over and over...
I'm stuck. I've got "124" clue, envelope, and "ONE" on bed. Can't figure anything else out. :-(
@PUZZLED look closer by yhe door
its a grey squar that i hardly noticed
Ah, thank you Pete. Got it.
how the envelope opens?
Found it! I hadent notice the BLACK 1 ;)
So...I put the colored numbers on the drawer:
black=1
blue=4
green=3
yellow=8
but nothing happens - it's 'incorrect'
Then I added up those four numbers and added 150 = 166 for maybe the top drawer? but nothing...no hints above about these.
How are these clues helpful?:

I'm stuck, but I guess it's obvious since people are out without leaving clues.
I have green, yellow, and blue numbers.
I have black ONE.
And red 124.
124 doesn't work as red code. And like Zoe, using 1 for the black number as color/number code doesn't work either. Already used the other codes and SD.
Prufrock - it puzzles me why people ask a question because they need help, and then when they figure it out, don't post their answer or give a clue, I'm still stuck at the same place as you and can't figure out what the paper clue with the blue, green, yellow, black + 150, PASS means.
Oh wait. I didn't see that +150 pass clue in my inventory! Thanks, Zoe.
Use color numbers for the drawer.
4 (blue) 3 (green) 8 (yellow) 1 (ONE from bed) + 150 = 4531 for the drawer code and get a knife.
Knife opens envelope for new clue.
(red x 4) - 35 = PASS
(124 x 4) - 35 = 461 for top drawer and exit key!
Once you get the four color numbers, you add 150 to the 4 digit number and pass the drawer lock. I believe that drawer was just right of the desk chair. Later you use a formula on a red three-digit number to multiply, then subtract to get the final door key. Hope that helps!
Oh my goodness - Prufrock - I transposed the 5 and 3 and had it in my brain that that was the correct number and it wasn't working. If you hadn't give the clue above, I would never have got it - thanks so much!!!
Elmo - thanks!
That was a nice one. not too hard, but not a one-minute quickie either.
