square thing with screws from waste basket...blue ball from drawer that has the number 4 on it when you look at it from your inventory
a yellow ball with the number 2 on it from the drawer next to the book shelf....hmmmm
red ball with an 8 on it from plant....1985 note from dress drawer...me thinks its a clue?

I've tried the numbers backward and forward on both entry boxes, and also tried using the numbers on the balls the same. No luck.
Key in bottom drawer, opens safe, green ball, number 7... let's try the numbers again
hmmm another thing i missed...a key? type thing in the other drawer by the bookshelf...
oh de laly...it was a key...and its for the safe...now i have a green ball with a number 7 on it...
Tried the 4 numbers in various ways on the inputs, maybe i missed one or something... been trying to use the books to denote which is big to small...
I'm out with ball # large to small, but whether it was on the computer or the wall I'm not sure.
Odd i've trieed 8742 on both inputs, and nothing happened that i noticed. Then again i don't speak japanese etc so it could be saying something useful...
oh wait... clicked the door and now weirdness...
you can take the green book fron the bottom part of book shelf...i think it has a clue on how to place the numbers for the colored balls
hmmm i used the book and came up with 2847...i entered that into the safe and licked the door and now im stuck in a red fractal like room with grey bars all around me that do not move ir seem to have a purpose...stuck now...perhaps a bug?
I don't think so :) I guess the programmer was simply lazy, and put this cheap screen as an ending :)
Oh my, totally overthought that one...
Just take the '1985' and do some sorting as described above, that's all.

if the yellow is 2, then i miss the green one, lol
dammit!!!! when i catch a live one, usually don't need hints to escape. And whenever i need help, it's not live any more !! lol
I can't open the bottom drawer
@Jasmina if I remember correctly, the bottom drawer was externally locked and you had to enter the correct code in the field on the computer screen
(clue for this code is the '1985' paper and Shuchun's additional hint at the beginning of the comments)
