For anyone stuck on level 2 like I was, Mick Jagger is known for his famous lips, but not here.
Finished all 9 levels now, thanks Small Tool & Jon.

level 9 is not working for me at all

For anyone stuck on level 2 like I was, Mick Jagger is known for his famous lips, but not here.
Finished all 9 levels now, thanks Small Tool & Jon.

And congrats and thanks for playing to Lin R as well :)

Tried filling in the middles but I don't know them all and not sure of the ones I thought I knew.

Congrats and thanks for playing c0fe etc.

just,
It's first letters again with the missing parts.

Thanks small tool, that was some good times.

I'm not good in riddles, stuck on lvl 4, I found a movie "Son-in-Law", but no name fits in.

Mako - the movie is indicated by the objects depicted in the clue - what are they? They make 4 syllables in three words, and the son-in-law is the main character - the actor's surname is needed.

finished (finally) thanks for the prequel small :)

I still don't understand 7 I'm afraid. I'm imagining the times on the clockface, but the image doesn't mean anything to me. I've tried 'fingers', but I can't think of anything else.

Oh, do the hands make letters? Trying that next.

Congrats and thanks for playing Gut :)

Mako, first solve the rebus and then you'll know what you need.

That was it, wasn't it!

I'll be back soon to finish level 9, no good times trying to find the answer

       Anonymous  1/20/14, 11:42 AM

thanks, solved, I simply don't know much movies :)

Out now and feeling good! Thanks ST.

And congrats to you too Clodagh :)
And thanks for playing as well. It's great to see Escapers playing riddle games too :)

Oh well, I tried. I really did! I don't know who "granny" is to ask her about the moon panicking. Google didn't help me. I think my brain just doesn't work this way - lol!

Zoe,
Granny is (just like SD is a well known term for escapers) a way of saying Granmaa and that is a way of saying 'anagram'.

small-tool: Didn't know that. Each time I learn something new about these, I get a tiny bit better! Thanks!

       Anonymous  1/20/14, 12:12 PM

geez! I cannot even pass level 1

Estefania, every sentence starts with a capital letter, use them in order to get the answer

Estefania,
The text on that level is about first things and cap(italized) letters. So just look at the first letter of every sentence and put those together to make a 5 letter word/answer.

       Anonymous  1/20/14, 12:17 PM

finished all now, thank you for the riddles (^‿^✿)

Congrats and thanks for playing Mako :)

       Anonymous  1/20/14, 12:24 PM

THANKS!!!! I am here just waiting for someone to post a walk through, HAHAHA!!

Hi s-t, nice little taster lol

Level 9 had me puzzled for a bit, I was making a long sentence out of all the missing bits, it made some kind of sense after the first clues, but then it kin of imploded lol

I look forward to the next lot :D

*first 5 clues

*kind

lol

Yay Congrats Rambler :)
Tomorrow a tiny bit harder :P

Excellent, I look forward to it...

thank you small-tool !!!for the game

Ok, small-tool - I'm progressing! Just finished 7!! All by myself. Why did that one seem so easy to me???

LOLOL small , the pic on 2

Lol, I start to sound like a broken record, but here it goes again:

Congrats and thanks for playing New :)

I only get "Sorry, the page was not found" when i post my answer.

Just worked out #8! Getting there!

Then it's the wrong answer Jef.
We use a free web site to make these and doesn't let us make pages like wrong answer etc.
So go back (with your browser buttons) and try another answer.

       Anonymous  1/20/14, 12:57 PM

one hour later (maybe more) i am onto level 9 - ... I look forward for the real deal on Friday!

LOL smal ,i just got home and got started but thank you anyway !!i ll finish soon LOL

I think I have all the "in between" letters for #9 except for gen-list. But the other letters don't make sense even when I don't have these ...

Nice prequel Small. Level 9 had me puzzled for a bit, as it turned out I made the same mistake as Rambler..

Goed gedaan jochie :)))

Oh - I got it! I forgot the very first thing in level 1! HAhaha!!
I'm out!!!

Congrats and thanks for playing Truus and Zoe :)

Now I know that Cambrian is the first geologic period of the Paleozoic era! :-P

thank you!!!! ,cant wait for tomorrows game !!!!

Thank you Small-tool!!! I'm looking forward to the rest of the series

And here's the broken record again :P

Congrats and thanks for playing CeeBee :)

Thank you so much, small-tool. I finished.....ANDDDD..i didnt even cheat ONCE. (now will you believe me when i keep telling you im brilliant??...hahhahha.....no, i dont believe me either).

That was fun. Thank-you again.

Stuck on 9
not sure with the 5th clue is Never-less

oh Pop! now working on the answer

I guess I am still stuck on 9. the first 5 seem to make a sentence then .... ???

Enjoy, try first letters of all the words you found.

Sorry, i think that came out back to front. Yes, the first 5 words seem to be making a cogent sentence...and then it seems to go a bit whacko. However, what you really need is the first letters of all the 'in-between' words that you found.

thanks Clio_rose. Got it!

Thanks Jon and small-tool. It was fun!

thanks small-tool & Jonthewatch!

looking forward to 2nd prequel later. i know the place, but the time...?
1st post here was at 9:33 am (server time). that's 6:30 pm (18:30) central european time, right!?

Thanx jon and small tool
First time I ever finished one of these on my own

Yay, congrats Joe :)
Thanks for playing :)

And the same goes for Clio, EnJoy and Casual :)

good riddle and lots more to look forward to,thanks small-tool

Still stuck on level 6, tried over an hour, still nothing...please help

Level 6 is Braille,
Use this site:

http://www.braillecards.co.uk/whats-braille

The first letter should be a W.

Erik
Group them in vertical levels of 6
ie 2 columns
Then the dark glasses correspond to dots
This gives you 7 groups of dots
Then use the link from Donas above and you will feel the correct letters and thereby the right answer

Thanks Small-tool, I will try to work it out....

I am not good at riddle games, but I also don't like them because you can't progress if you don't know one answer. Would it spoil the gameplay if one could pick the level - i.e. if you can't do one, move on to the next one?

On this one you can pick levels:

http://www.escapegames24.com/2012/07/tales-from-darkside.html

But that's a way more difficult riddle.

And isn't it a bit the same in escape games as well. If you can't solve a certain code (or find/get a key in an Selfdefiant game) you can't progress either.
Anyway, only play them if you like them, it's made to give people a bit of playing fun. But if it's not fun for you, loads and loads of other games on this great site.

Help on level 7. Please? Anybody?

Level 7.
Make the times in the text on the clock with clock hands.
They will make the shapes of letters.
For example the first time is 3:00, so that would make the big hand up and the little hand to the 3, so then you have the shape of the letter L.

1st Prequel Walkthrough WITH ANSWERS! SPOILER ALERT!!!!

Level 1: read the text, it tells you 'first things first', 'initially' and says 'thinking CAP'. The capital letters of the sentences spell the word WATER.

Level 2: same trick as Lvl 1 but this time you need to find words to fit the pictures, big Hair, big Ears, big Mouth, big Ass, big Nose = HEMAN (no spaces etc...)

Level 3: Granny or granmaa is anagram, an anagram of 'moon panic' = companion

Level 4: Rebus level. Meat Duh Pear Ants = meet the parents. Ben Stiller played the son-in-law and as the title tells you, surname only = stiller

Level 5: All roads lead to Rome and you have the Italian flag to hammer the point home. 1 = I, 5 = V, 10 = X, 50 = L, 100 = C, 500 = D and 1000 = M. the answer is 'mildcivilmix'

Level 6: The tool-man is blind and the page tells you to 'feel', the alphabet for the blind is Braille. Note the way the tool-man is facing and the location of the glasses....the braille spells out 'walking'

Level 7: Put the hands on the clock and see what letters they spell out...LIVE

Level 8: google level, just simply google the questions and find the answers, ie, capital of Nepal = Kathmandu, write this answer down and answer the rest of the questions, then read down your answers...first things first again.....'kicking'

Level 9: connections puzzle, find the word in the middle that will make a larger word: to GET her = Get, drag ON fly, do OR knob, out DO or, never THE less, bra IN wave, chair MAN ship, gen ERA list and three SO me...take first things first (a recurring theme in riddles) and they spell out: goodtimes :)

Finally got it it! Pff.. Thanks Joe and ST!

Thank you SmallTool. I knew that much. But all I could figure was the L I. Senior moments slapped me silly after that.

Thanks for the WT. I was stuck on 2...thought that Mick Jagger had big Teeth in the pic! No wonder I couldn't figure it...He tan??

Going back to try to become a better riddler - thanks S-T for the baby steps...
