So is the benefit of the need for a login worth all the negative votes and comments, Hoodabrain?
ReplyDeleteNice and easy
ReplyDeletedont want to log in so ....goodbye
ReplyDeleteI don't see the difference between logging in here to comment and logging into Hooda Brain to play the game.
ReplyDeleteIt was quite good, as usual.
Missing a putter, a ball, the silver key and the pig is still in the way! Any hints anyone?
ReplyDeletePOP - very well hidden blue putter in the farmyard scene. Well, very well hidden for me lol
ReplyDeletethe pig is a red herring
ReplyDelete@Bat E, the difference is that I choose to log in to comment, but I can also play without doing so. Here, I have to log in to play. So I choose not to.
ReplyDeleteBat E,
ReplyDeleteThe difference is here they don't get your e-mail address when you log in to play but HoodaBrain does. And without giving us a 'good' reason why.
Yes, ps238principal the hilarity of reading comments about having to log in from people that had to register and log in to post comments is worth it. Just play the game already.
ReplyDeleteWell MercurialRust, as said before, it is our choice. The last 5 Hooda games required a log-in, they all had between 250 to 450 votes (the ongoing one is not finished yet) and they do not get better ratings than 2 stars. Shame for good games. It clearly expresses that players here do not appreciate it. I fully agree with s-t arguments now and in earlier games.
ReplyDeleteI agree about the e-mail address requirement. Don't need it for EG24 games, but do need it for HoodaBrain. All I've heard from Jon and others is that it is a secure site, but that's not a "reason" why they want our e-mail addresses...
ReplyDeletemost blogger sites collect your information.
ReplyDeleteDPotts - but EG24 doesn't have any information on me. I sign on with Google, but don't give anything but my screen name and a password that has nothing to do with my email address...
ReplyDeleteyou think google doesnt collect info???
ReplyDeleteNot with the password I use...
ReplyDeleteI for one can sleep easier at night knowing Hooda Games prevents children under the age of 13 from learning math too early in life!
ReplyDeletehave wrench .golf club and a blue golf ball.,white golf ball.where do u use wrench.
ReplyDeleteI wonder if we can talk about the game instead of logging in???
ReplyDeleteNot locating the blue putter in the farmyard scene...
ReplyDeleteUse wrench on the chicken Shaz
ReplyDeletehave placed the white and blue ball, placed red and blue club on the fence... missing a ball and club and where do u use wrench, plus a chest needs a silver key.
ReplyDeletePaul, where did you find the blue putter???
ReplyDeleteThank you Paul Steinmetz for the well hidden blue putter. Once I knew what scene to concentrate on I finally found the hot spot.
ReplyDeletekcturbo944 -- hot spot by the cow's udders.
ReplyDeletety kcturbo.i clicked every where on that farm scene then i got blue putter wish i knew wat bit i clicked for it to appear sorry kcturbo,.
ReplyDeleteWHERE IS THE BLUE PUTTER??? I have looked the farm scene for a good 10 minutes...
ReplyDeleteThank you!!! I NEVER would have clicked there. Disappointing...
ReplyDeleteshaz -- fix the chicken with the wrench

ReplyDeletei dont get all the wingers having hizzy fits about logging in to play hooda brain games you have to log in to leave comments here,so wats the difference... there is none ... since i registered with hooda brain ive never recieved spam so its ok
shaz: maybe you don't care who has your email address, but us hizzy fit wingers do.
ReplyDeleteVery nice shaz, you don't agree with someone, so you call them names. Actually that says more about you than it does about the people who disagree with these creeping intrusions into their privacy.
ReplyDeleteI don't know why Hooda Brain has not offered ANY explanation as to why they want our personal information, "Just play the game already" doesn't "fly" with me. I would like to be informed as to WHY first, and they have YET to give ANY answer to that simple question.
ReplyDeleteAnd after all this time without giving us any info as to WHY, just deepens the distrust as to what they want to with it.
It is called 'informed consent."
Well, you have to log in I won't be playing this game
ReplyDeleteI mentioned before .. they use a notorious front end to login/register ( Wordpress ) always getting hacked .. they do use a social login option .. but for some reason its not working properly ... another great sign that they know what they are doing ..can't attract bees with vinegar .. its not my loss
ReplyDeleteThere is also no valid reason why Hooda can not accept the same group of logins as everyone else. (Google, Yahoo, Facebook, Live Journal, Wordpress, etc.)
ReplyDeleteThe only reason for them to want to have their own is so that they have the freedom to control the data they collect and the tracking code they use. Which is fine, except that also means they are not accountable to anyone but themselves.
By itself that is not in any way incriminating, but the fact that they refuse to offer any explanation of why they are doing it this way, of what data gets collected and what it is used for, and what specific things they do to protect your data from being used in other ways...that IS incriminating.
These are things that are industry standards for any website that collects data, and for Hooda to not be in line with the rest of the industry warrants suspicion...and caution. Whether they are actually doing something untoward or not is irrelevent. ANY online entity that refuses to be up front with security matters should not be trusted. Period.
With all this controversy over logging in, I think we're overlooking the real problem here. Why is this guy still hanging out with so-called "friends" who keep hiding his keys? And why does he find the need to enlist strangers to find them instead of doing it himself? Serious co-dependency issues.
ReplyDeleteAlso: HoodaBrain and Hooda Math seem to be separate sites. You don't need to log in on Hooda Math. I wonder why this is?
ReplyDeleteLOL, @lurker smurf!!!!
ReplyDeleteThe game was too short
I agree it is a nuisance to have to log in. I can't help wondering what they are doing with that information.
ReplyDeleteThank you for another great game SD!
ReplyDeleteHi, all. Going in.
ReplyDeleteWith regard to the log in thing, transparency is not much to ask for? Although there is programmes out there that can stop tracking. I asked myself is it worth having my details tracked to play a game which to be honest is a bit repetitive, and getting to the boring stage anyway. The answer I came up with was no.
ReplyDeleteI don't like to log in each time I play a game.
ReplyDeleteNot loggin in to any supposedly free games! Give it up Hooda brain.

ReplyDeleteJust my two cents about the login thing, as well as the email I don't see the point of signing up to a website that I'm going to access for about a 10 minute period once a fortnight... It's ridiculous to ask us to sign up for to a site just to access one off content.
ReplyDeleteI agree with Lurker Smurf - this guy needs new friends. I also take issue with jonthewatch who stated that 'the pig is a red herring'. It's not. It's a pink pig!
ReplyDeleteYou have sites how provide 10 minutes email address, enough to create login acces...
ReplyDeleteThalie:
ReplyDeleteThat is true. But is it really worth going to a third site in order get a fake email address to use at the second site to play a 5 minute game linked to by the first site? No. It isn't.
I agree with the negative log in comments. I only play games that do not require log in. My choice.
ReplyDeleteI registered based on Bat E's first post. Why not? Flash games are not making any money, and Pastel Stories is probably moving to a game platform such as steam.
ReplyDeleteThere seems to be an erroneous impression that the only people that play these games are the ones that comment on them. I'm disheartened by the continued remarks like "I don't see the difference between logging in here to comment and logging into Hooda Brain to play the game." There's a big difference - you can play a game without commenting on it (I've been playing games on this site for 2 years, and this is my first comment). I appreciate everyone that has recognized this fact and tried to stand up for those of us that don't want to log in, whether to comment or to play a game. The truth is that I mostly play these games from work, and I have a personal rule of never logging in with personal data on a work computer. Plus many of the social media logins are actually blocked at my office. So whatever the reason folks have for not logging in, it's their prerogative. But by requiring someone to log in to play, Hooda is limiting their customer base, and hopefully their ad revenue will suffer enough from it. I won't even click on a game any longer to see if Hooda changed their mind because I have no desire to give them another page visit.
ReplyDeletekroya - very well said!
ReplyDeleteAlso, Bill Chinery's post 3/25/14 11:15 AM above is very well put - not wanting to assure the people they are asking to log in to their site by providing evidence that their site is a safe site is incriminating and therefore suspect!
ReplyDeleteI logged in the first time they started it, using my Google account, which is the same way I log in here. I wasn't asked for any details, I just opted to log in with my Google account.
ReplyDeleteNow I'm automatically logged in when I follow the link from here to any of their games.
I logged in with Facebook the first time, and haven't been asked to log in ever since. It has not posted anything on my Facebook account.
ReplyDeletesorry if i came across rude that wasnt my intentions so im apologising,
ReplyDeleteTried logging in tried registering and it just doesn't let me
ReplyDeleteEZ out GG
