Oh geez - I should not have complained about how easy was the other game - I am already running in circles in this one and I have to go. Will come back later. Have fun!!

The papaer clue: red + green = lok at the position of the books (green+red) an then enter the position in the cabinet with the three lines (from up to down)
look at clock, on 1 clock there is a hint for 4#code
you can open cabinet with 5 doors, combine the hints of 4 cabinets to do math

all the cabinets have 5 doors. Please say what one Hotzenplotz and I have found 71, 6, 8 a minus and a times sign. No idea what to do with those.

Nice game, still easyish but so good to see Hottetagoya getting back to more like their original games.

Maru Frankel - the bookcase has 6 shelves with red + green books. How does that translate to 3 buttons?

So on the red green books, the top shelf would be 7 the second 5 and the 3rd 3? So you push the top button 7 times etc? Not working.
No. You're totally overthinking things.
Every red-green or green-red book pair in said shelf represents a position: LEFT, CENTER, RIGHT.
Note that the buttons are not set up in a 90-degree angle from ground level, but in a diagonal line. This will be enough to tell you what is left, right or center.
It's much easier than you think: just go top-down and hit the buttons according to where the book pairs are placed. That's it :)

For the maths equation, make a 5 cell rectangle to match the 5 cupboards. Write the symbol or number you see in the correct cell to match which cupboard the clue is in.
Tree cupboard * X * * 6
Paper clue cupboard * * * - *
Red/green puzzle cupboard * * 8 * *
3 triangle cupboard 71 * * * *
Put these together and get:
71 x 8 - 6 = 562
It took me a minute to figure out which numbers and symbols to put where LOL
Love these Hottagoya games. I see Iconland gives yet another 1 star because he can't do a game!
I like the way the game clues are so logical once they're explained.
I envy people that can get them on their own.
