And there is something by the stairs, looks like a cigar. All he is telling me, is that the water doesn´t work, i can click what i want. And i still cannot go downstairs with lamp highlighted.
Okay, i need fire badly. More badly than usual.

Zazie, you are right. The unlit cigar lit the unlit lamp. It's like minus + minus is a headache.
You can roll down the toiletpaper in the womans stall. Doesn't do any good, though.
heck of a time getting pot onto stove. Didn't go on hot burner, but the one next to it.
There's a wrench in the water tank from the middle stall.
Found a card or sthg in the mens toilet and got axe from arrow box.
And the toilet paper from the mens stall gave me a keycard.
There's also a arrowhint on the blackboard on the floor to either toilet.
After doing the gob pop bog wrong an aweful lot of times I've got a lit latern now and after pulling a lot of toilet paper I've got a code card (???) thingy...
Played through a couple of times, seems like the narration keeps getting stuck. Bug? I have to refresh to get it to work.

Yep the narration stucks but going into the menù and coming back makes the job.
where the toilets? can not find a new space, have cigar and a cup now and a book and rice bag, but where other rooms? or key for center door above
Oepend labdoor with keycard, didn't even try the math and just used the yellow marked numbers.
Used axe on door with chain and card on another door, i am in a PC room now.

So, opened antoher door with the key, used the wrench on the valve and finally cooked some unsupervised rice. And now sleeping.
After I found a journal my tekst kept tellin me that. Had to restart.
Where is the wrench?
What lamp did you light with cigar? Can't find it. I think to go downstairs and find other rooms I need the light.

Can I teach some shipboard terms SD? lol It would make the game better for me at least, but then again I spent most of my Navy career not at sea. Still, I know the terminology of being on a ship.
I'm not sure what the problem is. I'm looking though. Any more specific on the bug?
First time posting, long time player. Anyone else stuck early on at desk drawer with box in it? The box is already open when I go to the drawer and I get nothing from it. I've restarted several times, same thing.
Am I suposed to use the ladder to reach the bell?
SD, it's simply stuck and only says "pocketknife" or whatever you klicked last.

there is a key behind green liquid. But my game is stuck? I CAN progress but inventory description stuck saying POCKET KNIFE. can't eat rice, can't go back to bed and can't open floor hatch.
Jo rossi, click on menu and then on play. You come back there you left, but the bug's gone.
The text is fixed, now, you can still progress or click menu to reset it. I also fixed the cigar lighting the lantern without the cigar lit. Thanks Zazie!

Where is the cup?
SD, once you get a journal that is the text that stays up no matter what you do. When you go to the menu and re-enter the game it resets.
Mine's stuck at "Dry food, nothing I can eat right now" Action-wise, I'm having a devil of a time getting the pot on the stove.

Ok, going back to Menu and re-entering the game fixed it. Thank you for having the narration tell you to go look at the water until the rice is ready. Saved us from the wandering around of yesterday.
What cup Zoe, there is a big pot you can take in this episode.
For the bell you also have to use ladder (use it 3 times i think, exit sign, bell and fridge)
Zazie - Marita at 8:03 said she had a cup, but I'm thinking she might have meant the pot. I thought I could use a cup to get a drink of water so I could get more energy. I have lots of health, but need more energy, I think.
Now it says I have to see land before the rice is ready, but all I see is water.
Ah, if you've fixed the cigar, that'll be why I can't light my lamp. How do I light the cigar?
No, you need to repare water and fill the big pot to cook your rice. To fix the water you have to wander around in the stairs area (there is a door open now and look closely into the toilet cabins to find a id card and a wrench, the wrench is used on a wheel in another room (probably the room you opened with card), Then back to kitchen and you can fill your pot with water and rice.
Zoe, you just had to look if you see land, not have to see land.
Ohhh, when I went back the hob was hot (must've turned it on without noticing). Cigar lit now!

nvm - I guess I'm not supposed to see land yet. You look out (click on the sky) and all you see is water, then go back and the rice is done. Eat some and then go to sleep...

Apart from the navigation arrows on this one, I've been really enjoying these survival games. Been away so just played loads in one go!
Well, I've opened the colour cabinet and have the unlit lamp, but I have nowhere to go. I can't go up the stairs because it says "it's locked" and can only go into the two bedrooms and the office. What am I missing?

Cathy717 - you have to turn the water on. Make sure your pot is chosen in the inventory then click on the water itself. The pot should fill.

Thanks for you comment zhiglov, it was very helpful. I already updated the game, there shouldn't be any more bugs. If anyone finds something and can tell me I can fix it. Buggy, tells me nothing, other than you might be playing the old version.

Well, I can't do anything. I found journal and got lamp but I can't go up on deck or find anything to light lantern with.
Played again and there is no bugs. A bug is a program problem, not a 'don't know how to do it' problem.
Something that seems to be confusing people is that there are TWO staircases (obvious from the signage). The other problem seems to be that it isn't the usual, find a key to get a key room type escape.
I am not Self Defiant's biggest fan (I sometimes feel they get a bit same-old) but these new ones are a nice change which require a bit more thinking, whilst still following the same basic concept. Perhaps 'some people' should stick to the more simple escape games?
evans - you are at the wrong stairs. Go back to the room, left and forward (hope I remembered that right). The 'cigar' is by the door to (if I remember) the galley
Restarted twice and finally it let me go on deck. A little tougher today but I made it out finally
Look under pillow – read diary for clue
Go out
The door at the end of the passage is open (it wasn’t open yesterday so it is a bit spooky)
Go forward through the door to STAIRCASE TWO
Open the cupboard with the clue from the diary and get a lantern
You can’t go forward (it is locked) so go back, back, left to get to STAIRCASE ONE
Go forward to get onto the deck and go right 5 times to get to the GALLEY
Pick up the stogie next to the green chair and go forward into the galley
Light the cigar on the stove and use it to light your lantern
Go forward to get back on deck and go left 5 times to get to the STAIRS
With the lantern, you can now see that the first level stairs are flooded going down.
Go right, right, up, up (to STAIRCASE TWO where you found the lantern). Click on the stairs that go down and go left to the bathrooms. Go into the bathrooms and look around (check the cisterns). Get a wrench from the middle stall of the ladies room (yes, in the cistern) and a key card from the middle stall of the gents (yes, in the cistern).
Look at the notice board for a clue for the fire safe
Go left, open the arrow safe and get the axe
Go right and use the axe on the chained door at the end of the passage
Go forward
There are 4 ‘rooms’. One of those uses the card key.
In that room is a diary with a number clue and the safe you use it on. Move the beaker in the safe (after using the number code) and get a key
…… now go find where to use it because everything else is in the comments above :)

Love selfdefiant!! When I am having a bad or even an indifferent kind of day I actual squeal to myself when I see there is a new one and now that we get one almost everyday, I smile more!

I do go fast making the games, how else could you play so many so quickly? I love to see all of the comments as well, even the ones that aren't positive. Love all your games and I've played for a long time, never commented. The only trouble I had with this one was filling the pot, but after refreshing with the menu it seemed to solve that. I like the ship saga. Can't wait for the next. Keep the coming SD...
