I mean the green numbers with Ox above....On the laptop i can see some very faint numbers but cannot read them. 1--7 ?

Zuleika, you have to use this lense virtual view thingy on the pc tower
There are three podiums in the virtual reality scene. Hats to the left, the Ox number in the center, and the tree image to the right. I've input the hats and trees code. Totally lost on the center code.
then you will see 3 pillars, on each one you enter codes
you use the vr headset on the pc tower to see the place.under broken pc
zazie, on the laptop, you have to use the flashdrive before you can see the clue.
Thanks Mary - only have one lens for virtual glasses though. Can anyone remember where they got both?
one lense from door, another one from magnifier (im not sure, but i think it was in some drawer)

Finished my phone call and got out finally. I made a mistake, i put the Ox number at the place of the trees lol...Thx all for your help !
Use the hand at the bottom left to open drawer and to get lens from door.
How do I turn on the computer tower? I have it plugged in.
Lori, you have to use the finger print scanner. That's where I got stuck, had to look at the walkthrough. Do you have the can and the powder?
Ah, different time zones. So this is irrelevant now...
never irrelevant! I came along late, and hate to look at vid walkthroughs. So I finally figured it out -
combine powder and can
photograph can
connect camera to printer
print the print!
cut fingerprint out w/ knife
then you can put it on the scanner and turn on the pc.
Getting the codes was easier than that part!

I got stuck because I converted 267 hats to 615 decimal, but you dont convert the hats.
Walkthrough.
Great hints here. Enough to get out. So this is just to put it all in order.
Spoilers below.
Collecting round.
Door.
Take: a letter from the floor, an ink-cartridge on the left, from the trashbin a can and a headset without lenses, click the fist and take a lens from the door.
Notice: grey hat 6, locked door.
Bed.
Take: in left drawer (use the fist) a key, USB below pillow, a cable.
Notice: white hat 7, posters (later).
Laptop.
Take: at printer: magnifier.
While there: place the ink-cartridge.
Notice: black hat 2.
Zoom out, use key on the lock.
Take: mouse and powder.
Desk.
Take: crumpled paper on the left. On the desk: a camera and paper.
While there: place the mouse.
Zoom out, click the left panel of the diskdrive below the desk for a knife.
Below the desk place the powercord on the red sockets.
Investigating round.
- open the letter, take the upside/down letters, first line, second line, from left to right.
- bookfragment with explanation.
Combining round.
- click fist and magnifier to get second lens.
- combine the lenses with the headset.
- place the paper in the printer.
- combine powder with can (= fingerprint).
- combine this with the camera.
- connect all of this to the cable at the printer, take the print.
- cut the print out with the knife.
- place the print on the scan next to the computer.
(the diskdrive shows green).
- place the word in the laptop, click ‘image’.
- Zoom out, click the USB and the laptop.
- Zoom in again and click the tab on the screen, read a number.
The posters.
Every poster shows Ox and then three dots with letters.
Collect the letters and read a word.
This word must be converted as explained in the bookfragment.
Back to the computer.
Click the headset and the diskdrive, welcome in the virtual world.
Three solutions to enter.
- On the left: the hat-numbers.
- Middle: the Ox-number.
- On the right: the laptop-number.
When done correctly the red lasers turn green.
Click the black box in the middle of the screen.
Get out of the computer.
The key appears.
You can leave now.
