Ok, found the box. It was the two hotspots next to each other that confused me.
4 digit code? have only found 3 pay and pay 6
Marita, once you have the sword and clothes you can go left of start. Kill the slime and get the apple from the tree.
out... easy peasy... marita, the numbers in the barrel are the clue to the four digit code.... something is missing...?
Marita - hit the slime with your sword till it gives up! Then you get the apple
Apple you get after beating the monster with your wooden sword.
4 digit code is on the box on the carriage next to the river (hint is there as well).
