After (kind of) killing the machine you can go further, but so far no idea for the code in the elevator or where to use the pliers.
Oops, wasn't a code at all, you can just go (with the digital key) to the second floor.

Use it on the first floor, startscene, on the right up high.
No, sigh, not my best days here, lol, in the scene with the robot that is.
Use the 'hot' awl to fix the computer and then use the hint from the paper.
There's an awl next to the broken computer on level 2. What's that?

On the third floor use the grid hint.
Use the thing you get from the grid (on the 3rd floor) on the 1st floor to get a bomb, use the bomb on the 2nd floor.

I'm with Magda. Removed bad chip but computer is still broken.
That key, Dawn is used in the elevator.
Magda, on the first floor you can get a working chip (with that awl).

Aha, found the chip in the panel on the right in the very first scene.
Arrie, on the working pc you use part of the paper hint, on the bomb you use the other hint.

I think the digital key was on the machine/robot you killed on the first floor.
Found a hand laser on the 4th floor but not sure what to do with it.
Found it! It is the digital key to insert right of computer
there are a couple of hotspots on the first floor - in the first cupboard and on the pipe by the robot, but i have used the gloves, screwdriver and pliers on them and nothing works.
And again back to the 2nd floor for the grid-drawing on the wall.
Dawn, read the hints given? I think that will help you to the next floor?
The hand laser lights up the panels on the far wall above the exit. You have to be quick to put it back in inventory and hit the lever on the left before any of the lights go out.

Who activates a bomb without knowing where the door is?
After de-activating the lasers you escape with the rope. But the bomb didn't explode, did it?

That second floor is very important, three clues there.
- on the wall, the grid for the paper
- on the paper, the letters for the computer
- on the paper, the symbols for the bomb

On the 4th floor is a hand laser, use that on the 3 panels above the exit there and then be quick with the lever.

I think the colour clue (for the levers) is different in every game, the hint is the coloured lines (below the letter part) on the computer monitor.
but mine are only black/White
Could be, just balck and white.
In my first game I think I had blue, white and then all black.
Just replayed and now I had white, black, whitem white, blue, black, blue.
Anyway nothing special happens when your levers are correct, but when they are, you can load your key above those levers.
When you have the black/white levers in place use the key just above them to charge it.
My awl isn´t "hot" :(
prakta, place the valve on the lowest floor and turn it.
It will turn on the gas on the 2nd floor, warm up the awl in the flame.
After using the valve on the first floor (not only placing but also truning), you can make a flame on the second floor.

this is by far the best Esklavos game yet, imho. I hope the creators will keep making games like these.
My only problem was finding where to put the bomb so that I could see the symbols and manipulate them as on the clue paper on 2nd level. (btw, the bomb is placed on the long platform in the middle of the floor on 3rd level).

After I checked off the squares next to the letters from paper on the computer screen, I'm stuck. Am I suppose to be able to enter them in the spaces at the bottom, because I can't. I'm so-o-o stuck!

No, the lines at the bottom are a clue for the levers on the 3rd floor.
If I remember correctly, after checking the squares off you can load your digital key again?
correction, the key is loaded now. Take it out. You can use the elevator again to go to another level/floor.
Setting the levers on floor 3 also will load the key.
Dang it, I love Esklavos games, but this is just too small to see the things you need to use.
If we are going to be subjected to ads, the games ought to be of a playable size.
The last game from the guy was not his best - but this one was really good again.

I turned off the laser and placed the rope on the other side but seem to be stuck now.

Ignore the rope. Click the panel in the middle.
To make game bigger on screen use Ctrl + Mouse Wheel.

Sorry -- I've used the awl on every pixel in that panel in the first scene and it's still "cold".
Up to that step it seemed like a decent game, but it should be possible to finish it, especially after giving up and going to the hints.
PuzzledinCA, get a valve from the 2nd level, go back to the robot on level 1, place the valve on the pipe on the right-hand wall, turn the valve. Go back to level 2 and click on standing gas pipe, add the awl to the flame to heat the awl. Then you can use the awl on the panels.
I DO NOT like Esklavos new music!
I hate it, when I'm too slow... The flames are always out before I get the awl to them. :(

Somewhere left in the back was a slot for that metal piece.
