finally got it.....black and white binding on the books are the answer... so first one would be black 3, hit the black 3 key and then white 4 etc

I think if the book was mostly black and had a 3 on it I played the 3rd black key and the gray ones are the white keys? in order of books on shelf. Does that make sense?

rds665, didn't understand why two times 3 black. It is possible to write in more detail. It is impossible. I didn't understand the main point.

Took me an awful long time to realise the yellow pattern spelt a number.

See the yellow numbers for the LR sequence...Following 257 I get

LLR - 2
RLL - 5
LRR - 7

Obviously I'm wrong.....
