Jenny, in shelf is a "picture" with a knob, this will give you the order for 4 blue buttons.

Zazie, you don't need a battery for calculator, just press on the buttons.
I pressed the buttons from the table hint, but nothing happens.

could someone please spoil the shelf clue for me? i see the shapes but it doesnt ring any bells...
I quit at the 4 button box. The WT is too fast and whoever did it pressed about 14 buttons and the hints here just say to follow the hints on the box on the shelf. I don't think there are that many buttons to press?? Can't make sense out of it. Sorry, didn't like this one.

It worked for me, daisy...the AC button is one button...press that, then the plus sign, then the number 5, then the % then the = and then the zero...hope that works!

OK, I'm a dummy. Can't find this calculator anywhere or a hint in comments as to where it is, although others have asked also.

There are some clever puzzles in this game ;-)
p.s. Another funny thing: I ran around at the beginning looking for an air condition device...(AC + 5% could as well have been "add 5 percent to temperature")

I hadn't solved the 12 drawer / blue squares puzzle, what a spaz I am today!

What is that blue thing on the wall at the far right of the scene with the red couch? I thought it might be the A/C unit for the AC code that turned out to be something else all together.
OK, for the late comers, a few tidbits...
The code for the 5 drawers is a bit hard to get if you don't remember what drawer opened first! Took me 3 tries by rotating the sequence before puzzle was solved.
The puzzle does not reset to all closed drawers.
Start with the top center drawer and note the positions, then use on the 12 blue squares.
Calculator comes from the 4#'s puzzle box.
Battery comes from the 3 objects placed in tray in wall behind painting.
Wipe mess off of table mat for clue to puzzle box with X + I -- symbols. Number of each gives four numbers for puzzle.
Gives a key.
Paper clue regarding objects positions in shelving unit will unlock door for escape.
Wonderful game! Hardest part for me was working out blue buttons sequence. If you don't mind, here's a link for a picture showing how to press the buttons. (I found it on an Italian game site)

To reset the drawers, go to the light grid and push any button, the back out to the drawers.
The starting drawer will open (top middle).
Ahhh, didn't try that for resetting the drawers. I'll remember that for future games.
